In queste colline del Chianti, in un terreno perfetto per la coltivazione dell olivo, antiche piante centenarie resistono all avanzare delle nuove piantagioni di vitigni più gestibili ai fini commerciali. Ottenere da questi preziosi olivi una moderna produzione olearia in scala industriale sarebbe improponibile ed andrebbero lentamente a scomaprire. Tuteliamo insieme queste preziose e antiche piante. Adottiamole. In our Country, the Olive Trees and the Grapevines are the symbols of our history and our traditions and the products of their fruits are the protagonist of our food culture. Among our hills in the Chianti region, thanks to a perfect natural soil for their cultivation, you can still find beautiful olive trees dating back to more than 100 years ago. The latest commercial trend, though, is not to encourage their cultivation in favour, instead, of modern plantations of vineyards that are more manageable for commercial purposes. Infact it is not possible to even try to obtain a production of olive oil on an industrial scale from these precious and ancient olive trees and their destiny is to slowly disappear. Let s protect these old trees together. Let s adopt one each.
