5 FURTHER INFORMATION PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES Training in the School of Specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Insubria and subsequent experiences in national and international environments, especially in Spain (Valencia). This development took the form of attendance at surgery as assistant surgeon and/or surgical practitioner in the infirmary and clinic. Daily activities as a surgeon in plastic and reconstructive surgery and aesthetic medicine. SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES From September 1995 to September 1997, attended the Institute of Human Morphology (Director: Prof. C. Dell Orbo) at the faculty of medicine and surgery at the University of Pavia, Varese. Embriology, histology and human anatomy tutor at the above-mentioned institute during the academic years 1995/96, 1996/97, 1997/98. Researcher in mechanisms of tissue mineralization. Later, while specializing in plastic surgery at the University of Insubria, undertook research studies based on animal testing, with research in this field leading to publications of interest on the hemodynamics of microchirurgical flaps with focus on the role played by the presence of valves in the circulatory system. Thanks to the interest in the study of anatomy as applied to surgery, have participated in interesting research projects, published in scientific magazines of international importance, about the anatomy as the subject of anterolateral thigh transplantation and fasciocutaneous transplantation based on the perforating arteries of the medial sural artery, the research being conducted at the Human Anatomy Institute of the L. Maximilian University in Munich.
