3 National promotional events Each partner of the Enforce project had to organize at least a national promotional event for the training course(s) on Role and responsibilities of the energy auditors, to illustrate the profession of the energy auditor and its occupational opportunities. Those events are especially addressed to university students coming from technical and scientific areas as well as students from technical higher schools and are organised in close collaboration with the main technical scientific national universities and technical higher schools. The promotional events have been planned before the beginning of the training activities with the aim to inform the possible participants, promote the course and be the first step of the participant selection process. In this report the promotional courses are presented for each country apart from Greece. Some of them showed the courses programme, while in some cases it was provided also a broader introduction to the themes of energy efficiency and buildings sector. In Italy there were four separate events (Modena and Bologna in April 2010 and Verona and Padua in November 2010), two by two very near in space and time. Moreover, the events were specially addressed to university students possibly interested in the course (a certain amount of time was dedicated to illustrate the detailed program of the course), so it was not surprising if the participation to the events were not so high. In fact, in Modena the number of participants were 17 (excluding lecturers) and in Bologna the number of participants were 8 (excluding lecturers). The reason of the scarse participation in Bologna may be justified with a last minute change of the room of the event which was not published on time. In Spain one national promotional event (February 2010) was organised with a more articulated programme, covering not only the presentation of the courses and the Enforce programme and network but also topics related to the energy efficiency in the building sector, addressed to a wider audience, and it attracted totally more than 100 people. For Portugal, ADENE continuously carries out, within its institutional activities, dissemination campaigns. These promotional events were carried through ADENE s webpage and by sending customised messages ( alert) to the its network of qualified experts informing them about ENFORCE project and the organisation of the above mentioned training courses. 4 In Slovenia, training course, web portal, call center, Enforce energy auditor network, Energy efficiency practical guide and implementation of energy certification were promoted with 4 promotional events starting from October Most of them were organized in the capital Ljubljana. The guide for energy efficiency in the building sector, developed for the Enforce project by each partner, information materials on the Enforce Project, the Enforce leaflet and the program of the course were distributed during the workshop were distributed during almost all these events. In the following annexes the detailed reports of all the promotional events held so far in Italy, Slovenia and Spain are presente. In Greece for the moment there is still not a training promotion and it is expected a promotional event during next month, just before the actual training event. 8 Minutes of the event Organizing partner Title event Date, venue ADICONSUM and FIRE Workshop di presentazione del corso di alta formazione per Energy Auditor Progetto ENFORCE 22nd April, 2010 in Modena and 23rd April 2010 in Bologna Introduction The first ENFORCE project Promotional event for the training activities and in Italy was carried out on April 22 nd and 23 rd in two different locations, respectively Modena and Bologna, in order to increase the target of the participants. The events were held at the faculty of Engineer of the university of Modena and of Bologna and were organized in strong collaboration with the same universities which were both also responsible of collaborating on the organization of the course. The target participants are representatives of university students who were interested in subject of the training course proposed for professional reasons. This workshop was organised by ADICONSUM with the collaboration of FIRE and of the universities involved. At the workshop of Modena also Marcello Antinucci, representative of REANAEL (the representative also of RENAEL, the Italian partner in the EPBD CAII project), participated as lecturer illustrating the importance of the energetic diagnosis in buildings. In Modena, the lecturers were Marco Vignola (ADICONSUM), Francesco Belcastro (FIRE); Marcello Antinucci (RENAEL) and Paolo Tartarini (university of Modena) who respectively illustrated the project ENFORCE, the legislation in Emilia-Romagna, importance of the energetic diagnosis in buildings and the programme of the course. In Bologna, the lecturers were Marco Vignola (ADICONSUM), Francesco Belcastro (FIRE) and Gianluca Morini (university of Bologna) who respectively illustrated the project ENFORCE and the importance of the energetic diagnosis in buildings, the legislation in Emilia-Romagna and the programme of the course. The dissemination of the event was carried out by Alma Mater Studiorum (the structure of all the universities of Emilia-Romagna, i.e. Bologna, Modena and other in the region) through the dissemination of an invitation letter (annex 1) was sent to all the students of the faculty of Engineer and the graduates of the same faculty in the last 2 years. In Modena the number of participants were 17 (excluding lecturers) and in Bologna the number of participants were 8 (excluding lecturers). The reason of the scarse participation in Bologna may be justified with a last minute change of the room of the event which was not published. Out of the 25 people who participated at the two events, 13 people registered at the course and followed it. At the workshop the ENFORCE leaflet and the course of the programme were distributed (annex 3). 3

10 Annex 1.- Invitation letter Caro Ingegnere, l Associazione Consumatori ADICONSUM, in collaborazione con Alma Mater Studiorum e la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell Università degli Studi di Bologna, Reggio Emilia e Modena, organizza un Corso di Alta Formazione rivolto a giovani neolaureati in Ingegneria di qualsiasi indirizzo. Il Corso permette di acquisire le competenze necessarie per effettuare la Diagnosi Energetica degli Edifici e di ottenere l abilitazione per la Certificazione Energetica prevista dalla legge 192/05. Il Corso fa parte del programma di attività del progetto ENFORCE, coordinato da Adiconsum ed approvato dalla Commissione Europea e si svolgerà presso il la Facoltà di Ingegneria di Bologna. Il programma didattico è di 120 ore e si articola in 14 giornate di lezione di 8 ore ciascuna, oltre ad un Workshop conclusivo ed all esame finale (la distribuzione delle giornate di lezione sarà definita tenendo conto delle esigenze degli allievi). Gli allievi che avranno superato l esame finale, saranno inseriti nella Rete di Energy Auditor del progetto ENFORCE. Adiconsum ha attivato il Numero Verde ed i Siti Web ed attraverso i quali i cittadini potranno richiedere la Diagnosi e la Certificazione Energetica delle loro abitazioni, che saranno svolte dai componenti della Rete. Adiconsum pubblicizzerà adeguatamente questo servizio attraverso Radio, TV, Conferenze Stampa, ecc. Come è noto, gli edifici residenziali hanno un ampio potenziale di risparmio energetico e, con gli opportuni interventi, si possono ridurre i consumi di energia e diminuire il costo della bolletta energetica delle famiglie. In questa prospettiva, favorita anche dagli incentivi fiscali vigenti, il settore della riqualificazione energetica degli edifici offre buone opportunità di occupazione e di sviluppo professionale. La quota di iscrizione al Corso è di 500. Giovedì 22 Aprile p.v., alle ore 10,30 nell Aula 110 della Facoltà di Ingegneria dell Università di Modena, e Venerdì 23 Aprile p.v., alle ore 10,30 nell Aula T2 della Facoltà di Ingegneria dell Università di Bologna, si terrà un Seminario Informativo durante il quale un dirigente di ADICONSUM illustrerà le finalità e le prospettive professionali del Corso. 21 Minutes of the event Organizing partner Title event Date, venue ADICONSUM and FIRE Workshop di presentazione del corso di alta formazione per Energy Auditor Progetto ENFORCE 10 th November, 2010 in Verona and Padova Introduction The second ENFORCE project Promotional event for the training activities and in Italy was carried out on the 10 th of November in two different locations, respectively Verona in the morning and Padova in the afternoon, following the structure of the first promotional events carried out in two different locations in order to increase the target of the participants. The events were held at the Istituto Salesiano in Verona in the morning (being a higher education technical school and the place where the course would have been held) and at the faculty of Engineer of the university of Padova in the afternoon, both bodies strongly collaborated in the organization of the further training course. The target participants were representatives of university students who were interested in subject of the training course proposed for professional reasons. This workshop was organised by ADICONSUM with the collaboration of FIRE and of the Istituto dei Salesiani involved. In Verona, the lecturers were Marco Vignola, Pieraldo Isolani (ADICONSUM), Renato Cremonesi (Cremonesi Consulenze) and Maurizio Montenurro (Istituto dei Salesiani) who illustrated the project ENFORCE, the legislation in the Region, the importance of the energetic diagnosis in buildings and the programme of the course. The dissemination of the event was jointly carried out by various bodies involved in the event / training course through an invitation letter sent to all the contacts of the dissemination list of ADICONSUM, Faculty of Engineer of the Univerity of Udine, Faculty of Engineer of the University of Padova and of the Istituto Salesiani (annex 1). Also a poster to disseminate the events were prepared and were hang in all the above mentioned locations. In Verona the number of participants were 8 (excluding lecturers) and in Padova the number of participants were 30 (excluding lecturers) as reported in the signed participant lists (annex 2). At the workshop the ENFORCE leaflet and the course of the programme were distributed (annex 3). 3

22 Annex 1.- Invitation letters Roma, 20 settembre 2010 Ai Segretari Regionali Ai Segretari ed agli operatori Territoriali Veneto e FVG Cari amici, vi informo che Adiconsum, in collaborazione con l Università di Padova, organizza un Corso di Formazione post-laurea per giovani neolaureati in Ingegneria ed Architettura delle Regioni Veneto e Friuli Venezia Giulia. Il Corso fa parte del programma di attività del progetto ENFORCE, coordinato da Adiconsum ed approvato dalla Commissione Europea. Il programma didattico del Corso è di 120 ore, adeguato a fornire agli allievi le conoscenze tecniche necessarie per effettuare la Diagnosi Energetica degli Edifici e ad ottenere l abilitazione per la Certificazione Energetica. Gli allievi che avranno superato l esame finale, saranno inseriti nella Rete Adiconsum di Energy Auditor prevista dal progetto ENFORCE. Attraverso il Numero Verde ed il sito web i cittadini potranno richiedere ai componenti della Rete, tramite Adiconsum, una Diagnosi Energetica, qualificata e indipendente dagli interessi commerciali delle imprese, utile per realizzare gli interventi necessari a migliorare l efficienza energetica delle loro abitazioni. Gli edifici residenziali, infatti, hanno un ampio potenziale di risparmio energetico: effettuando gli opportuni interventi si può ridurre il consumo di energia e diminuire il costo della bolletta energetica delle famiglie. In questa prospettiva, il Corso offre ai giovani neolaureati buone opportunità di occupazione e di sviluppo professionale. Il Corso si svolgerà a Verona, presso l Istituto Salesiano San Zeno, in Via Don Minzioni 50, con inizio dal prossimo mese di novembre (data da definire), per sette settimane, con una frequenza di due giornate intere per settimana. Come impegno di frequenza ed a parziale copertura dei costi, ai partecipanti si richiede una quota di iscrizione di 500,00 (cinquecento/00). Oltre all iscrizione al Corso, la quota comprende anche un contributo per il pranzo e, per gli allievi domiciliati lontano da Verona, anche un contributo per i costi del pernottamento. Il pranzo ed il pernottamento sono previsti presso il medesimo Istituto San Zeno ed il contributo sarà di circa il 50% del relativo costo. La selezione degli allievi avverrà con la collaborazione dell Istituto Salesiano San Zeno. 34 PROMOTIONAL EVENTS REPORT - Slovenia Main activities of IEE ENFORCE project such as training course, web portal, call center, Enforce energy auditor network, Energy efficiency practical guide and implementation of energy certification in Slovenia were promoted by GI ZRMK with 4 promotional events which started in October Seminar on energy certification in Slovenia, Velenje, (Kssena-Energy Agency of Savinjska, Šaleška and Koroška region, Koroška 37a, 3320 Velenje) The first event presented by Mariana Šijanec Zavrl took place in Velenje at Kssena-the Energy agency of Savinjska, Šaleška and Koroška region. The seminar was about Energy certification in Slovenia, compared with other countries. The lecturer presented early experiences in Slovenia, a future challenge of energy certification of buildings, including the role of Enforce project. 35 Ensvet seminar, Ljubljana, (Geological Survey of Slovenija, Dimičeva 14, 1000 Ljubljana) The next promotional event of Enforce project was within Ensvet seminar at Geological Survey of Slovenia in Ljubljana. Ensvet is an energy consultancy network with offices all over Slovenia. It is financed by the Ministry of the economy. Energy consultants/advisors working at the Ensvet project have to attend educational seminars which are organized every year. This time the seminar took place in Ljubljana on the 5 th March architects, civil engineers and mechanical engineers were present at the seminar, where Marjana Šijanec Zavrl and Andraž Rakušček (both GI ZRMK) presented all the actions of the Enforce network. The main purpose of presenting all the details of the Enforce project to the Ensvet members was to collect signed gentlemen agreements and to accept consultants to the Enforce Energy auditor network. 36 signatures were collected. 38 Home Fair, Ljubljana, (Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, Dunajska cesta 18, 1000 Ljubljana) The last two Enforce training promotional events/workshops were held at Home Fair on 9 th and 10 th March Anja Glušič (GI ZRMK) presented the performance of Enforce call center, activation of Energy auditor network, creation of Enforce web portal and all necessary details of 120 hour training course. Besides two workshops, GI ZRMK successfully promoted the Enforce project during all 6 days of the fair. 44 Minutes of the event Organizing partner Title event Date, venue ESCAN with the support of CECU Energy Performance Certification of Buildings: Workshop promotional Training 10 th February 2010, Promomadrid Building in Madrid Introduction The first ENFORCE project Promotional event for the training activitries and in Spain was carried out the 10 th February 2010 at the Promomadrid building in Madrid. The target participants are representatives of universities, companies and students who could be interested in ENFOCE activities in general an in trining of certification in particular Escan, s.a. is the organising ENFORCE partner with the support of CECU. This was the first time the ENFORCE project was presented to high number of people in the Promotional Event on Energy Audits. This workshop was organised by ESCAN S.A. with the Regional Government of Madrid. The National Energy Agency (IDAE), and the energy building certification implementing body of Madrid (Fenercom) collaborated also for the dissemination and co-financement of the workshop. ESCAN did a presentation about the role of the energy auditor and the objectives of ENFORCE. Also invited the audience to participate in the ENFORCE course that will be held in Madrid named: Energy Efficiency and Buildings Certification ( Eficiencia energética y certificación energética de edificios ). Involving in the workshop university students & teachers, consultants, architects, etc. in total 105 participants attended this promotional workshop. 3

The participants in the promotional event were 105 who are included in the Annex 2.- Signed participants list. Event dissemination material 125 people were invited to the event coming from Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Ministry of Environment, National Energy Agency, Regional Governments and Regional Energy Agencies, experts of building and energy fields. Phone call, s and postal letters were used to invite the participants. s were sent with the explanation of the objective of the Round Table. The text of s and the letter are included in Annex 3.- Event dissemination material Material distributed at the event. Output of the event In this event presentations of the two courses that will start after summer time were done. The duration of these courses are 120 hours. There is availability for participants in each course. ESCAN did tell this information of the courses to valuate the possible take up of elements for regional training courses in Navarra, Cataluña, Extremadura and Madrid.
