Trata-se de um programa, a meio caminho entre um hotel e um hospital, que procura compreender e reinterpretar o binómio social/privado, respondendo por um lado à vida em comunidade e por outro à vida em solidão. O projecto é assim desenhado a partir das relações estabelecidas nesta sociedade: núcleos independentes se agregam num conjunto de expressão clara. A reduzida mobilidade dos que viverão o edifício, obriga a tornar cada movimento uma experiência diversificada e emotiva: a distância entre os núcleos independentes é medida e desenhada transformando a ideia de percurso em vida, e o seu tempo em desenho. O edifício, percurso desenhado, assume-se como um muro que, surgindo naturalmente da topografia acidentada do terreno, limita e define o espaço aberto, organizando assim todo o lote. (ITALIAN) Il progetto si basa su una lettura attenta della vita di un tipo di comunità molto specifica, una specie di microsocietá con regole proprie. Si tratta di un programma, a metá tra un hotel e un ospedale, che cerca di comprendere e reinterpretare il binomio sociale/privato, rispondendo alla necessitá di vita in comunitá, e allo stesso tempo in solitudine. Il progetto é cosí disegnato a partire dalle relazioni stabilite in questo tipo di società: nuclei indipendenti si aggregano in un corpo unico, dal disegno espressivo e chiaro. La ridotta mobilitá di coloro che vivranno l edificio suggerisce che ogni spostamento sia un esperienza diversificata ed emotiva. La distanza tra i nuclei indipendenti é misurata e disegnata trasformando l idea di percorso in vita, e il suo tempo in disegno. L edificio, percorso disegnato, si assume come un muro che, sorgendo naturalmente dalla topografia accidentata del terreno, limita e definisce lo spazio aperto, organizzando cosí l intero lotto. (ENGLISH) The project is based on a attentive reading of the life of a very specific kind of community, a sort of a microsociety with its own rules. It is a program, somewhere in between a hotel and a hospital, that seeks to comprehend and reinterpret the combination social/private, answering to the needs of a social life, and at the same time of solitude. Independents unities aggregate into a unique body, whose design is expressive and clear. The reduct mobility of those who will live in the building suggests that any displacement should be an emotive and variable experience. The distance between the independent units is measured and drawn to turn the idea of path into life, and its time into form. The building, designed path, is a wall that naturally rises from the topography: it limits and defines the open space, organizing the entire plot.
