1 MACOSER, A NEW ROLE Macoser Metal & Automation in Charlotte (NC) started to cooperate with Duplomatic Automation Srl since 1990, acting as the Official Service Center for the North American market. In short they gained a strong reputation as a well organized and efficient Service Center, but also started to acquire a deep understanding of the metalworking industry. The natural consequence was to enlarge Macoser s responsibility including the sole distribution of our turrets on the markets of US, Mexico and Canada. Therefore today Macoser is in the position to offer a complete package: after sale activity from spare parts delivery to turret repair and maintenance, and distribution of turrets to all market segments, from replacement for end-users to sale to OEMs. We all wish to Mr. Pozzo, to his managers and to the entire Macoser team all the best for their activity, in this new dimension. UCIMU 5 th OVERVIEW ON ITALIAN INDUSTRY MACHINERY On January 27 th the top managers of CONFINDUSTRIA and UCIMU have presented to the Italian Parliament the result of the 5 th investigation on the status of Italian Industry machine tools and production systems. This survey has been realized in more than 2500 companies representing the 16,1% of the industry and the 22,9% of the employees, and describes the situation on December 31 st 2014 (the previous report dates back to 2005).

2 In this report you can find light and shade: the Italian industry has tried to continue to invest and innovate, but has felt the deep crisis of these years. The presence of modern CNC machineries has increased, from 31% to 32% of the total, but in the previous decade started from 25%. The integration of the machines within production plants has increased, the percentage of simple machines with no connections with other production or control system has passed from 89% to 79%, and the level of these percentages shows that the Italian industry has big possibility to improve its position. On the other hand the age of the machinery is growing, in ten year has gone from 10 years and 5 months to 12 years and 8 months, the percentage of machineries over 20 years old has arrived to 27% and the percentage of new machineries (with less than 5 years) has shrink from 26% to 13%. 1- Servomotor turrets family grows up. TECHNOLOGICAL CORNER The introduction of the new SM-H-40 adds a new model on the top of the range of Duplomatic Servomotor Turrets, up to now available in sizes. SM-H-40 has been designed to fit in big machines, with up to 120/130 kw at the spindle. This new turret, of course, maintains all the typical design features of the family: hydraulic locking/unlocking system, disc rotation by our servomotor, managed by the standard DDC4 Control Unit, supplied with the turret. SM-H40 is a valid alternative to the electromechanical BSV-N400, with better performances in terms of indexing time, smoother movement and, above all, remarkable loading capacity. It's available in the traditional "foot" version, but also in a "flange type" version, specially conceived to be integrated in the machine structure. 2- Special application for ATC system Duplomatic is very well known for its capacity to develop custom tailored solutions, in particular for turret with advanced systems for quick tool change. We recently confirmed this attitude with an application on a SM-H-40 turret, for the Automatic Tool Change of Sandvick Coromant Capto C10 tooling.

3 A highly sophisticated rotating distributor has been designed, with 5 coaxial channels through the turret, able to manage different fluids for different outlet positions on the disc, in order to satisfy all the requirements of the Automatic tool Change: - 2 hydraulic 80 bar ways for tool clamp and release in the Tool Change position - 2 pneumatic ways for Air blust and Tool Presence Check in the Tool Change position - 1 way for high pressure coolant (up to 80 bar) in the working position Best regards, Duplomatic Automation Srl

4 MACOSER, UNA NUOVA VESTE La Macoser Metal & Automation di Charlotte (NC) iniziò a collaborare con la Duplomatic Automation Srl nel 1990, operando come centro di assistenza ufficiale per il mercato nordamericano. In breve si guadagnò una solida reputazione di organizzato ed efficiente Centro di Assistenza, ma iniziò anche ad acquisire una profonda conoscenza dei meccanismi dell industria della lavorazione del metallo. La naturale conseguenza è stata di ampliare la responsabilità della Macoser includendovi la distribuzione in esclusiva delle nostre torrette sui mercati di Stati Uniti, Messico e Canada. Pertanto oggi Macoser è in grado di offrire un servizio a 360 : assistenza post vendita, dalla distribuzione di parti di ricambio alla riparazione delle torrette e distribuzione di torrette nuove in tutti i segmenti del mercato, dal rimpiazzo per utilizzatori finali alla vendita a OEM. Pozzo, ai suoi manager e a tutto il team di Macoser i nostri migliori auguri per il successo della sua attività, in questa nuova dimensione. 5 RAPPORTO UCIMU SUL PARCO MACCHINE DELL INDUSTRIA ITALIANA Il 27 Gennaio i vertici di CONFINDUSTRIA e UCIMU hanno presentato alla Camera dei Deputati i risultati della 5ª edizione dell indagine sul parco macchine utensili e sistemi di produzione installati nell industria Italiana. Questa indagine è stata realizzata su un campione di più di 2500 società, che rappresentano il

5 16,1% dell industria e il 22,9% degli addetti, e fotografa la situazione al 31 Dicembre 2014 (il rapporto precedente è del 2005). In questo rapporto ci sono luci ed ombre: l industria italiana ha cercato di continuare a investire ed innovare, ma la crisi di questi anni ha fatto sentire il suo peso. La presenza di moderne macchine CNC è aumentata, passando dal 31% al 32,%, ma nel decennio precedente era partita dal 25%. L integrazione delle macchine all interno dei sistemi produttivi è aumentata, le macchine semplici e non connesse ad altri sistemi produttivi o di controllo sono diminuite, passando dall 89% al 79% e l entità di questo dato mostra chiaramente gli ampi margini di miglioramento ancora a disposizione dell industria Italiana. D altro lato l età media del macchinario sta aumentando, in dieci anni è cresciuta da 10 anni e 5 mesi a 12 anni e 8 mesi, la percentuale di macchine con oltre 20 anni è arrivata al 27% e la percentuale del macchinario nuovo (con meno di 5 anni) è scesa dal 26% al 13%. 1- Cresce la famiglia delle Servo torrette ANGOLO TECNOLOGICO La famiglia delle servo torrette SM-H, sinora disponibili nelle taglie , si amplia verso l alto con l introduzione della nuova SM-H40 rivolta a macchine di grosse dimensioni dotate di una potenza al mandrino fino a kw. Il progetto presenta ovviamente tutte le caratteristiche costruttive tipiche della famiglia, quali: sistema di bloccaggio/sbloccaggio ad azionamento idraulico, rotazione con servomotore gestito dalla ns. Unità di Controllo DDC4 e fornita con la torretta. La SM-H40 si pone come valida alternativa alla equivalente torretta elettromeccanica BSVN400 con prestazioni migliori in termini di tempi di posizionamento, dolcezza del movimento e, soprattutto, per le capacità di carico elevate. Ѐ disponibile nella tradizionale versione a piedini ma anche nella versione flangiata, atta ad essere integrata nella struttura della macchina.

6 2- Applicazione speciale per sistema ATC L attitudine, ormai riconosciuta a Duplomatic, allo sviluppo di soluzioni customizzate in particolare nell ambito di torrette per sistemi di cambio-rapido degli utensili, ha trovato recentemente conferma nella realizzazione di una applicazione con torretta SM-H40 atta al Cambio Automatico di utensili Sandvik Coromant Capto C10. Questo ha portato alla realizzazione di un distributore rotante a 5 vie coassiale alla torretta, particolarmente sofisticato dovendo convogliare fluidi diversi ed in diverse posizioni, per addurre sul disco P.U. tutte le utenze necessarie: - 2 vie idrauliche a 80 bar per il blocco/sblocco utensile in posizione di cambio-utensile - 2 vie pneumatiche per Air blust e Presenza-Utensile in posizione di cambio-utensile - 1 via per coolant alta pressione fino a 80 bar nella posizione di lavoro Cordiali saluti, Duplomatic Automation Srl
