2 Cosa mangiano i designer? Spollo Kitchen è un ricettario visivo, il risultato di un processo di contaminazione tra grafica e cucina. Progettisti italiani e internazionali sono stati invitati da CTS Grafica ad illustrare le loro ricette preferite in una call per i migliori manifesti culinari. L iniziativa, realizzata in collaborazione con Aiap (associazione italiana design della comunicazione visiva) e ADCI (Art Directors Club Italiano) si è conclusa con la scelta di 100 designer, selezionati da 5 professionisti della grafica editoriale. Il volume Spollo Kitchen contiene tutte le loro ricette, spiegate e illustrate, da provare e guardare. Spollo Kitchen non è solo un libro ma un progetto che dura da più di un anno, durante il quale le ricette degli autori selezionati sono state cucinate, fotografate, mangiate e giudicate da uno chef. Tutti gli step sono stati documentati nello spazio Facebook di CTS Grafica. Nell ultima data italiana della presentazione di Spollo Kitchen, che si terrà il 24 ottobre 2014 a Milano presso i Frigoriferi Milanesi, sarà visitabile il labirinto di totem con i manifesti, le videoproiezioni del backstage e di tutti i 570 progetti pervenuti. Il ricettario, edito da Corraini, sarà in vendita durante l evento.

Il marchio FSC indica che la cellulosa impiegata per fabbricare il prodotto proviene da una foresta correttamente gestita secondo rigorosi standard ambientali, sociali ed economici.

7 JEREMYVILLE (New York) Ricetta: FRIED EGGS Jeremyville is an artist, product designer and author. He wrote the first book in the world on designer toys called Vinyl Will Kill, in 2003, and his 2nd book Jeremyville Sessions, (both published by IdN, distributed by Gingko). Jeremyville has been in group shows at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg, Colette in Paris, the Madre Museum in Napoli, the 798 Arts District in Beijing, and Giant Robot in New York. Converse has released 2 Jeremyville Chuck Taylor high tops, and Kidrobot have released several of his designer toys. He also regularly speaks at creative conferences, having spoken at Pictoplasma in Berlin, and in Oslo, with upcoming conferences in Argentina, New York and Brazil. He now splits his time between his 2 studios in SoHo, New York City, and by the ocean at Bondi Beach in Sydney. He travels around the world often, and his studio is also wherever he opens up his sketchbook and starts drawing.

11 IVO SCHMETZ (Amsterdam) Ricetta: GREEN SUMMER MASH UP Ivo Schmetz is the author of the beautiful ARCHIVO DE PIVO, an autonomous book about the world. It transforms personal memories, dreams, fantasies, ideas, stories and travel experiences into a new borderless universe. Ivo Schmetz has written, photographed, designed and published the whole book himself. During normal work days he is busy with his design studio 310k or record label Basserk.

13 MAURO GATTI Ricetta: MINESTRONE I am an italian illustrator and designer. I love to draw and I believe that a smile is the cheapest way to be happy, that s why I am always trying to capture the more comical side of life and make it a simple but funny and rememberable work. I take my inspiration from my quiet life, the sweet Giusy, our pugs Ozzy and Nena and Cyrus the Bullmastiff, rock music, my vinyl toy collection, the almighty Internet, good food, good movies, Raymond Savignac, Ryohei Yanagihara, Alberto Sordi, Monica Vitti and every funny thing I come across. In 2004 I founded Mutado, a creative studio, in Milan.

15 RICHARD NASH MR. BISCUIT (UK) Ricetta: TOASTS Illustrator, doodler, biscuit & tea lover. Smiles make the world go round, I like contributing to keeping it spinning. Fell in love with character design while studying animation in the United Kingdom. My alter ego spent a number of years working in layout and web design before going freelance and focusing on my illustration. I try to illustrate through the eyes of my inner child, throwing away the toy, and playing with the box.

19 RICCARDO GUASCO Ricetta: RABATON Riccardo Guasco aka rik, fumettista, illustratore e pittore, sono nato ad Alessandria nel Influenzato da movimenti come il cubismo e il futurismo e da personaggi come Picasso, Munari, Feininger, Savignac, Chaplin, penso che disegnare sia una forma di poesia e con linee semplici e pochi colori cerco la leggerezza della forma e il calore cromatico. Sono felice di aver collaborato con Eni, Diesel, Rizzoli, Campo Viejo, Giunti, Moleskine, Rapha, Thames & Hudson, DeAgostini, TBWA.

21 SIGRID CALON (Nederland) Ricetta: PINE NUT CAKE Sigrid Calon s work is formed through the desire and the curiosity to investigate, discover and create. Making new connections and to look differently at what we take for granted. This investigative mentality is separate from a set working method or usage of a certain type of material: what does the room demand? The assignment? Or the moment? Research into identity is very important in her work: what is the essence? Is there a new truth? Through these questions, Calon imagines the chaos of possibilities in a clear and pure manner. Aspects such as intuition, rationality and playfulness are of importance here. Calon searches for wonderment and is inspired by the things around her, preferably things that are meant for something different: materials, but also objects, situations or spaces. To what extent can you explore the autonomy of applied data?
