A Immaginate una lunga fila di turisti davanti alla Galleria degli Uffizi. A un certo punto uno dei visitatori supera la fila di turisti e cerca di entrare nel museo, convinto di riuscire a entrare senza pagare il biglietto d ingresso. Purtroppo per lui, viene fermato dai custodi e quando gli chiedono perché lo ha fatto la sua risposta è: «Non posso pagare 6 euro per ogni museo che voglio visitare». 1 5 B Forse questo è uno dei motivi per cui il numero dei visitatori nei musei italiani è in continua diminuzione dal 2000 a oggi secondo il «Dossier Musei 2005». Il motivo di questo calo, a quanto pare, non è l aumento dei prezzi dei biglietti, che oscillano tra i 2 e i 10 euro, ma, probabilmente con il passaggio all euro, con l aumento del costo della vita, con la crisi economica nel nostro Paese, gli italiani hanno deciso di sacrificare la cultura. 10 C Dal tariffario , che include 255 musei e scavi, risulta che soltanto 13 sono gratuiti. Tra i luoghi di cultura statali l ingresso è gratis solo nelle Biblioteche e negli Archivi. Le famiglie italiane non possono più permettersi di andare al Museo? Eppure ci sono tante formule che facilitano l ingresso nei musei. In Inghilterra, per esempio, l ingresso è gratuito in tutti i musei; in Olanda, e non solo, ci sono biglietti integrati. Con un biglietto integrato è possibile visitare mostre differenti. Questo sistema funziona in molti altri Paesi europei, invece in Italia le città che hanno introdotto card o 15 CONTINUED

È chiaro che siamo rimasti indietro rispetto al resto dell Europa. 20 D Noi, in Italia, facciamo pagare l ingresso alle gallerie permanenti dei musei nazionali. In Inghilterra i musei nazionali sono gratuiti, anche se chiedono un offerta. In generale però le mostre costano molto più che in Italia. Forse in Italia il sistema inglese non può funzionare perché gli italiani hanno una mentalità differente: la cultura è un servizio e deve essere pagata. 25 E «Come al solito l Italia arriva tardi rispetto agli altri Paesi europei, ma poi finisce per fare delle cose all avanguardia» spiega Claudio Strinati, soprintendente speciale dei musei romani - «È tipico degli italiani, ci mettiamo secoli, ma poi siamo invidiati da tutti. Prendiamo per esempio gli orari: in questo momento non esiste al mondo un paese dove i musei sono aperti così a lungo come in Italia. A Parigi per Capodanno è tutto chiuso, a Roma tutto aperto. (5 points) [Reading Competence: 5 points] [Linguistic Competence: 0 points] Cara Elena, ti scrivo da Firenze per raccontarti che cosa ho letto sul giornale locale riguardo alla situazione dei musei in Italia. Secondo una statistica del Dossier Musei 2005, gli italiani sempre meno musei. Il motivo di questa diminuzione non è il costo del biglietto, che non è negli ultimi anni, ma piuttosto il fatto che la situazione economica e politica del nostro paese ha spinto gli italiani a sacrificare la cultura. La crisi economica italiana e l aumento del costo della vita sono in parte dovuti all introduzione dell. La situazione in Italia è molto dal resto dell Europa, infatti nella maggior parte dei Paesi europei l ingresso ai musei è gratuito, mentre in Italia non si paga solo in 13 musei e scavi su 255. Si cercano soluzioni per incentivare le famiglie italiane a visitare i musei. Una di queste è l introduzione di card e biglietti integrati o cumulativi. Altri Paesi europei hanno già questa soluzione ed ha avuto successo. Purtroppo sono ancora poche le città italiane dove è possibile comprare questo tipo di biglietti. Se continuiamo il paragone con altri Paesi europei, un lato dei musei italiani è che normalmente le mostre temporanee costano meno che, ad esempio, in Inghilterra. Anche se l ingresso a molti musei non è gratuito, da altri punti di vista siamo all avanguardia rispetto ad altri Paesi europei, per esempio, per quanto riguarda gli orari e i periodi di apertura. Se a Roma tutto è aperto anche durante i giorni di, a Parigi, ad esempio, per Capodanno i musei. Quindi, cara Elena, quando vieni a trovarmi a Firenze per Natale, di sicuro troveremo i musei aperti! 7 ITALIAN SYLLABUS A LCIT6001 Page 6 Document B Quel che Londra può insegnare all Italia sui musei (e non solo) A Ho visitato con mio figlio di nove anni alcuni dei più importanti musei londinesi, nel periodo di Ferragosto. Nonostante il grande afflusso di visitatori, in nessuno di essi abbiamo fatto la fila per la semplice ragione che l entrata è gratuita, con la possibilità di versare, in appositi box, delle offerte libere. Abbiamo trovato una organizzazione impeccabile, indicazioni dei percorsi chiarissime, personale preparato, disponibile e, soprattutto, sempre molto gentile. 1 5 B Ci sono percorsi espressamente dedicati ai bambini e nelle sale alcuni addetti del museo sono a loro disposizione per ogni richiesta e per offrire dimostrazioni e spiegazioni. Ho fatto tutte le foto che ho voluto, perché è espressamente consentito dalle norme in vigore in tutti i musei che ho visitato, con l unica restrizione che non si può usare il cavalletto. I bagni sono puliti ed ovunque dotati di carta igienica. 10 C A pranzo, senza uscire, abbiamo mangiato, facendo pochissima fila, comodamente seduti ai tavoli dei punti ristoro presenti in tutti i musei spendendo sempre una cifra ragionevole. Visto che in Italia si sta facendo il bilancio della nostra stagione turistica, siamo sicuri che la nostra simpatia, la pizza (buona, senza dubbio) e i mandolini sono ancora sufficienti per attirare nel nostro paese i turisti stranieri, che cercano sempre più le cose che io e mio figlio abbiamo trovato a Londra? 15 D P.S. Abbiamo viaggiato con una compagnia low cost che non assegna i posti a bordo dell aereo. All andata ho assistito alla simpatica corsa, all italiana, per l accaparramento dei posti (migliori?).
