5 Arrival Procedure 1. An Atlas representative will be at the gate with an Atlas sign to greet the group on arrival 2. This person will escort the group to the bus, introduce them to our bus driver, and hand out Atlas Welcome Packs to team leader(s) and students which will contain the following: Individual Host Family information sheet (including contact information) An information sheet called Getting to Atlas on your First Day Timetable of the group s programme Dublin Map An information sheet with tips for staying with a Travel card (if ordered in advance of the group s arrival) 3. The Atlas representative will then accompany the group on the bus to the meeting point where all the Irish families are waiting to greet and bring them to their houses.

7 Accommodation Host Family Location: Atlas host families are experienced in hosting students; they are situated in residential areas of South Dublin and within easy access to the city centre. Students will have a clean and comfortable room with study and storage facilities. Students are treated as members of the family at home stay. Meals: Our families offer bed & breakfast & evening meal; they also include a packed lunch; meals are eaten with the family Curfew and Permission to go out in the evenings In case families allow students to meet their friends in the neighbourhood, they must ask for permission and for the curfew times: usually students between 15 and 17 must be at home by pm Keys: Most host families may provide students with a key to the front door of their house. All keys must be returned to the family on the last day of a student s stay.

VESTIRSI A CIPOLLA E COMODI: 6/8 magliette, 2 jeans, 2 felpe, 2 paia di scarpe, 4. una giacca impermeabile e un ombrello 5. adattatore per presa elettrica

9 Irish Laws Behaviour and discipline No smoking is allowed inside the school building or in the at home. Smoking in Ireland is illegal under the age of 18 and is banned in many public areas. It is illegal to buy to buy alcohol, tobacco or cigarettes if you are under 18. Students who fail to abide by the law may be sent home at their own expense. It is illegal to drink alcohol if you are under 18. Any student found in possession or under the influence of illegal drugs will be reported to the police and may be deported. Students must remember to pay for anything picked up in a shop. If students are caught shoplifting the police will be called, and heavy fines may be payable. If the shop chooses to prosecute this may result in a criminal conviction.

10 Atlas rules You must follow Irish laws. Students must respect others at all times. Bullying will not be tolerated. Attendance at lessons is compulsory. Participation in all scheduled excursions and activities is compulsory. Fire escapes, fire equipment and fire alarms are for emergency use only. They must not be used at any other time. Heavy fines are imposed by the centre if students do so. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings or in the home. Bedrooms should be kept tidy and any damage done to the room, furniture or décor will be charged to the occupant(s). (Take a photo of your room and its furniture as well as the bathroom, in case something has been already damaged). Keys are the responsibility of the student and, if lost, the cost of replacement will be charged to the student. Atlas school and teachers do not accept responsibility for student belongings. Students must be careful not to endanger themselves or others on centre premises. Visits to other homestays may only be made with the consent of the hosts concerned. Drinking alcohol or taking illegal drugs is strictly forbidden.
