SEPTEMBER, N. 36 AFTER EVENT REVIEW Open House in China showcased new Polar E Premium winder OPEN HOUSE IN CINA PER LA VETRINA DELLA NUOVA ROCCATRICE POLAR/E PREMIUM The new winder POLAR/E PREMIUM was presented at the Open House at Savio Jining plant on July 24th-25th 2013, where invited guest came from all over China. After a introduction by Savio Sales Managers, the machine was presented in operation at the Jining showroom. The new product is provided with new features to process bobbins produced by ring frames not equipped with automatic doffing device. La nuova roccatrice POLAR/E PREMIUM è stata presentata durante l Open House che si è tenuto il luglio 2013 presso lo stabilimento Savio di Jining, dove sono giunti ospiti da tutta la Cina. Dopo un introduzione dei Sales Manager Savio, la macchina è stata presentata in funzionamento nello showroom di Jining. Il prodotto è dotato di nuovi dispositivi per la lavorazione di spole prodotte da filatoi non dotati di levata automatica. 1

2 POLAR/E PREMIUM FREE STANDING WINDER AIMS AT SAME WINDING EFFICIENCY OF THE LINKED SOLUTION It is indeed recognized that the maximum level of automation on the winding process, is achieved by a direct link of the ring spinning frames to the winder. The advantages, already well known, through the continuous automatic transfer of the ring bobbins from one machine to the other are: - yarn quality of the wound package which is preserved being the bobbins prepared and automatically doffed on the ring frames, without any operator handling or loading into separate boxes; - higher efficiency on winder; - production output flow consistency and timed as a single machine (ring frame + winder); - minimization of winding room personnel. Most of customers select the link system solution whenever a new mill has to be set, or in alternative, whenever old ring spinning frames must be substituted. As a consequence, the real focus of Savio has been dedicated to propose an alternative solution, for all other mills where mainly existing ring frames are without automatic doffing, aiming at the same winding efficiency of the link solution. Polar/E PREMIUM, has been designed to evenly process those yarn bobbins, whose formation is not originally favorable to reach that efficiency, keeping also the minimum number of operators. POLAR/E PREMIUM ROCCATRICE INDIPENDENTE SI PROPONE DI OTTENERE LA STESSA EFFICIENZA DI ROCCATURA DELLA SOLUZIONE LINK È noto che il massimo livello di automazione del processo di roccatura, si ottiene con il collegamento diretto dei filatoi alla roccatrice. I vantaggi, già ben noti, attraverso il continuo trasferimento automatico delle spole da una macchina all'altra sono: - la qualità del filato della rocca, essendo le spole preparate e trasferite automaticamente dai filatoi ad anello, senza alcuna manipolazione dell operatore o carico in cassette separate; - la maggiore efficienza sulla roccatrice; - la consistenza e costanza del flusso produttivo, come un'unica macchina; - la minimizzazione del personale di sala. La maggior parte dei clienti prende sempre in considerazione la soluzione link, ogni volta che un nuovo impianto deve essere impostato, o in alternativa, ogni qualvolta si debbano sostituire vecchi filatoi. Savio comunque vuole proporre una soluzione alternativa per tutti quegli impianti dove, la maggior parte dei filatoi ring esistenti sono privi di levata automatica, pensando a soluzioni tecniche che possano dare la stessa efficienza di roccatura della soluzione link. Polar/E PREMIUM, è stata dunque progettata per trattare in modo uniforme quelle spole la cui formazione non è in origine "favorevole" per raggiungere tale efficienza, garantendo comunque il numero minimo di operatori. 3 POLAR WINDER HISTORY Savio officially presented to the International markets the full range of POLAR automatic winder at the 2007 ITMA Munich. The Polar winder, extremely popular in all markets of the world, is absolutely the Savio bestseller. This state-of-the-art machine has been designed keeping in mind the demands of our customers in terms of increased productivity, reduced energy consumption, reduced waste and production of yarn package of top quality. Further emphasis has been given to realize machines friendly use and almost maintenance free for any type of working environments, and particularly Far East ones, which are the main target markets for Savio. All POLAR models (manual feeding, automatic feeding free standing, automatic link) represent the utmost technology available: the previous success of the mechanical models has been followed by the last generation of the fully controlled electronic one, which is POLAR I - ITMA 2007 today the state-of-the-art. The more sophisticated machine in the range is POLAR/I Direct Link System, the solution for linking the ring spinning frame to the winder; this machine introduces a new concept in automatic link winding, ergonomics and user friendly sophistication. The POLAR/I DLS boasts an unique spinning frame to winder close loop feeding system, the winder being an extension of the same, ensuring total free flow of the materials. Now a new step forward has been done with the Premium series. The Polar Premium is now available for the E model, with automatic bobbin feeding by hopper and the automatic package doffing. The Premium version implements the features of the traditional free standing winder, being based on the winding unit and frame of the link version, thus improving its automation standards. In fact, the hopper, the peg feeding system, the End finder stations, the Backup stations transform the original manual doffed bobbin into a similar bobbing used in the link system. STORIA DELLE ROCCATRICI POLAR Savio ha ufficialmente presentato ai mercati mondiali la gamma completa delle roccatrici automatiche POLAR all ITMA 2007 di Monaco. La roccatrice POLAR, estremamente popolare in tutti i mercati del mondo, si sta sempre più affermando come il bestseller Savio. Questa macchina allo stato dell arte è stata progettata tenendo ben presente le richieste dei nostri clienti in termini di aumento di produttività, riduzione di consumi energetici, riduzione di scarti di filato e di produzione di rocche di alta qualità. Ulteriore enfasi è stata data alla produzione di una macchina di facile uso e manutenzione, specialmente considerando gli ambienti di lavoro degli stabilimenti asiatici, che sono e saranno i maggiori mercati di riferimento per Savio. Tutti i modelli Polar (alimentazione manuale, alimentazione automatica, versione link automatica) rappresentano il massimo della tecnologia disponibile: il precedente successo dei modelli meccanici è stato seguito dall'ultima generazione di macchine a controllo completamente elettronico, che rappresenta oggi lo stato dell arte. La macchina più sofisticata nella gamma è la Polar/I Direct Link System, la soluzione per collegare direttamente i filatoi ad anello alle roccatrici; questa macchina introduce un nuovo concetto nella roccatura link, ovvero ergonomia e semplicità d uso. La Polar/I DLS vanta un sistema diretto di alimentazione spole da filatoio a roccatrice, la roccatrice diventa dunque un estensione naturale del filatoio, assicurando un libero flusso di materiali. Ora è stato fatto un ulteriore passo avanti con la serie Premium. La Polar Premium è disponibile per il modello E, con carico automatico delle spole tramite rinfusa e scarico automatico delle rocche. La versione Premium implementa le caratteristiche della tradizionale macchina indipendente: è basata sull unità di roccatura e sulla struttura della versione link, dunque migliorando i propri standard di automazione. Infatti, la rinfusa, il sistema di alimentazione piattelli, le stazioni di ricerca e le Backup stations trasformano le spole originariamente di levata manuale in spole simili a quelle usate nei sistemi link. 4 CHINA MARKET Winding heads BENEFIT TO THE EVENT IN CHINA The new winder POLAR/E PREMIUM was presented at the Open House at Jining plant, the Chinese manufacturing unit of Savio located in the Shandong province. On July 24th-25th 2013, twenty major representatives of the biggest textile groups were invited to come from all over China to attend the event. The benefit to hold the product launch at Savio Shandong plant is represented to the proximity to the customers. This was an initiative organized to promote Savio and its products, its brand and corporate image to the important Chinese market. China is the biggest textile market for Savio, so attention to these customers is fundamental to support their new projects with the most advanced and automated machines. Il luglio 2013, venti rappresentanti dei maggiori gruppi tessili sono stati invitati da tutta la Cina per partecipare all evento. I benefici di organizzare l evento presso lo stabilimento di Savio Shandong sono rappresentanti dalla vicinanza ai clienti. Questa è stata un iniziativa organizzata per promuovere i prodotti, il marchio e l immagine aziendale nell importante mercato cinese. La Cina è il principale mercato tessile per Savio, quindi l attenzione verso questi clienti diventa fondamentale per supportare i loro nuovi progetti con le nostre macchine più avanzate e automatizzate. EVENT ATTENDANCE AND VENUE The days in Jining has had a rich program of theoretical and practical presentations and demonstrations of the POLAR/E PREMIUM at the company showroom, where Savio sales staff and technicians were available for each type of information or real-time demonstration. The event was scheduled in two parts: first part was based on a presentation held in the Talent Union Reports Hall of Production and Research base of Jining High Tech. Industry Zone. The presentation was made by Mr. Fulvio Galetto, Savio Area Sales Manager, and Mr. Xu Feng, Head of Sales of Savio Chinese agency. The presentation part was also attended by Mr. Rino Morani, Savio Member of the Board, Mr. Francesco Tesolin, Savio Area Sales Manager, Mr. Giorgio Colomberotto, Savio Winding Product Manager and Mr. Valter Faraon, Savio China After-sales Manager. During the presentation, Savio team and the customers had a lively exchange of information and comments. The second part of the event was carried out at Jining factory, where the machine was showcased in operation. Polar/E Premium impressed the visitors and convinced them of its unique performance with the recognition that the adopted solutions could really meet their needs. L evento era strutturato in due parti: la prima parte basata sulla presentazione tenutasi presso la Talent Union Reports Hall of Production and Research Base della High Tech. Industry Zone di Jining. Hanno preso parte all evento Fulvio Galetto, Savio Area Sales Manager, Xu Feng, responsabile delle vendite di CNT (agenzia Savio in Cina), insieme a Rino Morani, membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione di Savio, Francesco Tesolin, Savio Area Sales Manager, Giorgio Colomberotto, Savio Product Manager Roccatura, e Valter Faraon, Responsabile Post-Vendita di Savio Cina. Durante la presentazione, il team Savio e i clienti hanno avuto un vivace scambio di informazioni. La seconda parte dell evento si è tenuta presso lo stabilimento di Jining, dove la macchina era esposta in funzionamento. 6 POLAR/E PREMIUM Machine data sheet HIGHER LOADING RATE TO COVER WINDING HEADS UP TO 72 SPINLDES The enhanced hopper and bobbin loader capacity and efficiency allows a loading rate to cover the winding heads up to 72 spindles. The capacity has been increased thanks to the double alternate bobbin loading system on the peg. FEEDING BOBBIN CAPACITY: UP TO N PER HOUR To achieve full efficient peg loading rate, at the exit of the hopper, the bobbins are continuously fed, mechanically spaced, while the bobbin shape is identified by the profile reader sensor ; the bobbins are then conveyed by a double belt and finally properly oriented by two cross shaped rotating devices, one for each conveying belt. POLAR/E PREMIUM DATI MACCHINA MAGGIORE CAPACITÀ DI CARICO DA COPRIRE FINO A 72 TESTE La migliorata capacità ed efficienza della rinfusa, consentono un ritmo di caricamento tale da coprire fino a 72 teste di roccatura. La capacità è stata aumentata grazie al caricamento doppio alternato della spola sul piattello. CAPACITÀ DI CARICO SPOLE: FINO A 3000 SPOLE PER ORA Per raggiungere la piena efficienza del ritmo di carico dei piattelli, le spole sono meccanicamente distanziate, la forma della spola viene identificata dal sensore lettore profilo così da orientarla correttamente tramite il dispositivo di rotazione a forma di croce

7 END FINDER STATIONS EFS are designed to handle bobbins with yarn reserve at the bottom of the tube (ring frames without automatic doffing). The machine design has been focused on the layout of the EFS to optimize the bobbin distribution. The main EFS are located along the machine frame and consequently allow a proper balanced distribution feeding capability to the whole machine. Their position, being placed separately from the main feeding bobbin and return belts path, do not affect the efficiency of the system. STAZIONE DI RICERCA BANDOLO La SRB è stata progettata per gestire spole con riserva di filo sul fondo dei tubetti (filatoi ad anello senza levata automatica). La progettazione della macchina è stata inoltre focalizzata sulla posizione delle stazioni di ricerca bandolo per ottimizzare la distribuzione delle spole. Le stazioni sono situate lungo il corpo macchina e di conseguenza consentono la corretta funzionalità di alimentazione e distribuzione equilibrata delle spole. La loro posizione, essendo separata dal circuito principale di spole/piattelli, non influenza affatto l efficienza del sistema. 8 SMART BACKUP STATION A great help to ensure the highest efficiency of the winding process is given by the Backup Station, which shall take care of all those bobbins rejected by yarn end finder station and the winding heads due to: bad shaped bobbins, bobbins with yarn remnants, technological alarms (offstandard quality yarn values). The SBS is able to prepare again the rejected bobbin with high efficiency rate, and/or to remove the faulty yarn portion, in case of technological alarm. The BS uses diversified and specific cycles necessary to catch the yarn for each rejected bobbin thanks to the Identification system, embedded on the machine and pegs. The end result is very significant in terms of operator time reduction, since no intervention is requested to the personnel. STAZIONE DI SMART BACKUP Un grande aiuto per garantire la massima efficienza del processo di roccatura è dato dalla Backup Station, che si prende cura di tutte le spole di ritorno dalle stazioni di ricerca e dalle testine per: spole mal conformate, spole con resti di filato, spole con allarmi tecnologici (valori del filato fuori-standard). La stazione è in grado di preparare nuovamente la spola con un tasso ad alta efficienza, grazie alla lentezza del movimento, ed anche di rimuovere la porzione di filato difettoso, in caso di allarme tecnologico. Movimenti diversificati e specifici sono possibili grazie al sistema di identificazione, incorporato nella macchina e nel piattello, con un adeguato software di gestione. Il risultato finale è notevole anche in termini di riduzione degli operatori, dal momento che nessun intervento è richiesto dal personale di sala.
