3 Galileo& EGNOS evolution: a big opportunity Egnos is operative and certified for SoL services since 2011 Galileo system deployment is on going and the exploitation will begin on 2014 with Early Services (CS, PRS and S&R. CS through demonstrator) GPS, Galileo and GLONASS Interoperable chips & receivers are on the markets allowing users to experiment the multi constellation PVT (about 59 SV on 2014 ). 3 USE IT! User s requests are for more continuity, reliability and accuracy: EGNOS/Galileo Evolution Programmes are the answers. The evolution is driven by the technology evolution but also by User s needs. FP 6 and further FP7 have strongly involved Engineers and Users in RTD activity Now H2020 shall continue in this direction supporting both the evolution of the system and technology and in parallel pushing for an intensive adoption of EGNOS & Galileo in the European society through new applications.
