Workshop purpose The workshops planned at different stages during the ISIP project aim to gather in an event interested stakeholders in the project and its results, in order to exchange opinions and obtain feedback in our actions. The main objectives are: Obtaining feedback in the work developed so far. Disseminate the project and its future results. Help define the exploitation strategy. Propitiate networking events. In particular, the 3 rd workshop organised by Grifo in month 12 of the project (October 2013) aimed to present the results of the work carried out in WP2, WP3 and WP4 so far, that is, the definition of the Innovation Strategic Initiatives planning process model the design and development of the ISIP platform the development of the materials that will be delivered through the platform, that is, guidelines to define the Innovation Strategic Initiatives Plan, templates, tools for develop and monitor the ISIP, training materials and information resources. The last two activities (WP3 and WP4) are still ongoing, and will be completed by month 14 (end of December 2013). 2. Workshop development Since Grifo as an IT company has no direct contacts either with companies working in the sector of children s products, or with companies providing consulting services in strategic innovation (the main stakeholders of the ISIP project), in order to reach the widest audience possible and to facilitate people to participate in the workshop without having to travel to Bari, it was decided to hold the workshop in the form of a Webinar, that is, an online meeting. Thus interested people could more easily spare some time in their busy day to connect to the Web and attend the workshop. Moreover, considering that Grifo has no experience about strategic innovation planning and implementation, we asked one of the partners, Francisco Loras from TeleRegionsNetwork, to participate in the Webinar and give a presentation about the innovation methodology at the core of the ISIP project, that is going to be implemented through the platform. Francisco Loras was the right person to do it, since it was he who developed the flowchart ISIP process model in WP2. 3

4 Therefore on 1 st October Grifo published in its online newsletter 1 the announcement of the Webinar organized to present the ISIP project and the strategic innovation plan deployed by the ISIP platform (see Annex 1). The Webinar was scheduled to be held on 30 th October at The announcement of the ISIP Webinar was repeated, through the same means of the newsletter, on 15 th October and a last time on 28 th October. On 29 th October the participants received an with the web link and instructions on how to join the meeting room and participate in the Webinar Agenda of the Webinar The Webinar was to be held partly in Italian (presentation by Roberta Memeo from Grifo), partly in English (presentation by Francisco Loras from TRN). They come from Research and Innovation organizations (InnnovaPuglia), IT companies (EUPRAGMA, People on Target Navigator), and freelance consultancy in project management and innovation. 2.3 Contents Grifo multimedia explained the objectives and expected outcomes of the ISIP project, and showed a first screenshot from the operational dashboard of the ISIP platform, still under development. (presentation included in Annex 2) TRN showed a brief video clip about innovation, and explained what strategic innovation planning is and how it can contribute to overcome the current crisis. (presentation included in Annex 3). 3. Documents The following are some screenshots taken at various moments during the online Webinar. The technology used by Grifo to deliver the Webinar to multiple attendees was Adobe Connect. 5

10 Annex 1: Invitation to the Webinar GRIFO MULTIMEDIA WEBINAR: L innovazione strategica in azienda: un nuovo piano d azione Pubblicato il 1 ottobre 2013 da editor Risposta Il 30 ottobre prossimo alle ore Grifo multimedia vi invita a seguire il Webinar: L innovazione strategica in azienda: un nuovo piano d azione con cui vogliamo raccontarvi l idea di Piano d Innovazione Strategica che stiamo sviluppando nel progetto ISIP (Innovation Strategic Initiatives Platform). Grifo multimedia partecipa al progetto europeo ISIP insieme a cinque partner provenienti da quattro paesi (Spagna, Italia, Repubblica Ceca, Belgio). Obiettivo del progetto è sviluppare una piattaforma web che fornisca formazione, consulenza e tutoraggio ai manager di piccole e medie imprese che intendono definire piani strategici di innovazione per generare nuovi prodotti, processi o servizi attraverso la nuova metodologia studiata per la definizione di un Innovation Plan. Grifo sta sviluppando per ISIP la piattaforma web a supporto del processo di apprendimento e di definizione del piano di innovazione strategica per le aziende. L Innovation Plan sarà presentato da Francisco Loras, che opera da oltre venti anni nel campo dell innovazione per PMI, ed è autore di numerose pubblicazioni sulla definizione e la gestione dell innovazione strategica in azienda. Attualmente Francisco Loras è segretario regionale di TeleRegions Network, (partner del progetto ISIP), un associazione con sede a Bruxelles, che raggruppa amministrazioni regionali ed altri enti a carattere regionale, tra cui varie associazioni di PMI, ed il cui obiettivo è promuovere l innovazione attraverso le regioni che ne fanno parte, rivolgendosi a cittadini, aziende e pubbliche amministrazioni.
