TERRACE Elegant, modern and very bright, this large one-bedroomapartment offers you a very comfortable stay with all the modern comforts and tasteful and original furniture. All the details have been extremely cared. In the past - hundreds of years ago - the building used to be a stable for horses of a palace which belonged to a noble family. Then few years ago, the actual owners, two "lucchesi doc" sisters Paola & Rosi decided to restore the whole building - after a long long time in a neglected state - to have three apartments and they titled them with the name of a famose horse: Ribot, Varenne and Tornese. The one at this advert you are reading is Varenne, the smaller one with only one bedroom. Several are the important main features: the superlative location at Piazza Santa Maria, just in front of the city's walls, the reserved on-site parking and the size of the terrace: things which are very difficult to be found elsewhere in Lucca, within the walls. All three apartments lie on the first level above the street, meaning only 18 steps. All the three flats have air conditioning, wifi, dishwasher. They share a laundry room on the ground floor, with washing machine and dryer, ironing board(s) and iron(s). On the ground floor of the building there is the famous Osteria Miranda. it is a good place where to restore yourself with good local food after a sightseeing day! At Miranda, sometimes during the summer, live music is played and can be a great opportunity to enjoy it from the terrace with a glass of wine (the schedule 2018 is not on-line yet) The location is really superb. Just in front of the City Walls, a few steps from Piazza Santa Maria, and very close Piazza San Frediano. Everything you may need, from groceries, to ice-cream, restaurants, bar and cafès, churches and most important sites are just a few steps away from your door. The Varenne apartment can sleep up to 2 people and consists of: entrance in the living room which opens onto a very large and furnished terrace, a separate (but open) kitchen, a double bedroom with a queen sized bed and a bathroom with shower enclosure. The terrace is shared with the Tornese but divided by plants. It means that you have your own space, your own umbrella, table and chairs to enjoy a very relaxing time.
