Starting from the south, the first beach you come across with is on the promenade that leads from Località Foreste to the romantic port of Cisano. Se si cerca tranquillità a misura di bambino, questo è il posto giusto. Proseguendo verso nord si incontra poi il Lido di Cisano, un tratto di spiaggia attrezzata che alterna zone erbose a sassolini e scogli. Si può raggiungere facilmente in auto e grazie all ampio parcheggio è dedicato a chi cerca comodità e servizi. Non mancano il servizio bar, un area giochi, servizi igienici, docce e lettini per rilassarsi senza pensare a nulla. L accesso all acqua varia a seconda della posizione: alcuni tratti, dove l acqua è più profonda, attraverso delle comode scale, altri semplicemente dal bagnasciuga di ghiaia che degrada dolcemente. Alle porte del capoluogo, poi, lungo la passeggiata sul lungolago, si incontra il Lido Mirabello, un lido privato Bardolino offre spiagge particolarmente adatte alle famiglie con acque pulite e fondale digradante a cui si accede a pagamento, dotato di spiaggia ben attrezzata con bar e ristorante. Qui l acqua del lago è subito profonda e si può accedere attraverso delle comode scale per poi tornare subito sui lettini o le sdraio. Una volta attraversato il paese di Bardolino e il suo porto, dove la balneazione è vietata per il passaggio di natanti, e proseguendo verso Garda, si incontra Punta Cornicello, una piccola spiaggia libera di ghiaia dove l acqua è subito profonda, ma regala un panorama meraviglioso delle colline e i monti che circondano il Lago di Garda. Qui è possibile anche utilizzare una piattaforma galleggiante per tuffarsi nelle acque dai colori blu cobalto. La spiaggia più lunga e più frequentata è quella che va da Punta Cornicello alla Rocca di Garda. Quasi 2 kilometri di litorale libero ma perfettamente mantenuto che alterna pini marittimi, ampie zone verdi, spiagge di ghiaia fine ad altre di sassi più grossi e che regala la vera esperienza dei colori e dei profumi del Lago di Garda. Lungo questo tratto si trovano anche servizi come docce e bagni pubblici, numerosi pontili da cui tuffarsi, romantici e caratteristici chioschi per ammirare il tramonto sorseggiando un aperitivo o un Chiaretto di Bardolino, il vino rosa principe di questo territorio. 4 Strandleben Eine 5 Kilometer lange Uferanlage, die das ruhige Wasser des Gardasees genießen läßt, zwischen freien, gut ausgestatteten Stränden, in der freien Natur mit allem Komfort. In Bardolino können Sie sich jeden Tag ein anderes Badeerlebnis aussuchen. Vom Süden aus liegt der erste Strand auf dem Spazierweg von Località Foreste zum romantischen Hafen von Cisano. Es handelt sich um einen natürlichen Kiesstrand, der sich in den Gewässern des Sees sanft abbaut. Wenn man Ruhe sucht, ist das hier der richtige Ort. Weiter geht es im Norden zum Lido di Cisano, einem Strandband mit Felsenbrocken- und Grasflächen. Sie können ganz einfach mit dem Auto erreicht werden und dank des großen Parkplatzes werden Ihnen Komfort und Service geboten. Es gibt Bars, Spielplätze, Toiletten, Duschen und Liegen, um sich zu entspannen. Der Zugang zum Wasser ist je nach Lage unterschiedlich, manchmal mit Steg und manchmal direkt vom Ufer aus. Am Ende des Dorfes findet man dann auf dem Spaziergang an der Seepromenade das Bad Lido Mirabello, ein privates Strandbad, zu dem man gebührenpflichtig Zugang hat und an dem ein gut ausgestatteter Strand mit Bar und Restaurant liegt. Dort ist das Wasser des Sees sofort tief und man kommt über bequeme Treppen ins Wasser und kehrt dann zu den Liegen- oder Liegestühlen zurück. Bardolino bietet Strände mit klarem Wasser und leicht abfallendem Kies oder Sandboden: besonders für Familien geeignet. 6 7

5 In bici sulla Rocca di Caterina Ugoli Una salita nella storia. In poche parole è così che si può descrivere il percorso che dal centro di Bardolino porta fino all Eremo di San Giorgio, 5 kilometri, da percorrere in bici, che regala panorami mozzafiato e si conclude sul punto più alto della collina che da secoli ospita i monaci Camaldolesi: la Rocca di Garda. Un escursione classica, dal dislivello contenuto (230 metri), che può essere affrontata non solo da sportivi, ma anche da chi è meno avvezzo all attività motoria. La partenza è da Punta Cornicello e si prosegue ammirando il lungolago fiorito e arrivando all incrocio con la strada Gardesana. Svoltando a sinistra dopo alcuni metri inizia a destra la salita per Albarè e troviamo le prime indicazioni Strada dell Eremo. Il percorso prosegue sempre su itinerario asfaltato, raggiungendo un tratto di tornanti chiamato salita dei cipressi, attraversando vigneti e pini marittimi fino al bivio dell Eremo, da cui inizia la parte di sterrato. Superato il parcheggio, da cui si può partire per risalire a piedi lungo i numerosi sentieri trekking, inizia una parte in leggera salita, che arriva fino in cima, attraversando il bosco e da cui si gode di una vista sul Lago di Garda senza eguali. Arrivati in vetta la sosta è d obbligo, non solo per rifiatare, ma soprattutto per ammirare la meraviglia che si apre davanti. Se si vuole visitare l Eremo, testimone di secoli di storia, questo è possibile solo su prenotazione, mentre è sempre possibile accedere alla prima parte di struttura e al piccolo negozio gestito dai monaci, dove poter trovare vino, olio, spezie e piccoli manufatti prodotti esclusivamente dagli abitanti dell Eremo. Il ritorno, poi, è una bellissima e comoda discesa con il Lago di Garda davanti agli occhi. Per i più preparati e amanti della bici è consigliabile una mountain bike, che permette di affrontare agevolmente la salita dei cipressi e lo sterrato, per chi, invece, non vuole rinunciare alla comodità la e-bike è lo strumento migliore per godere di questa fantastica esperienza a few meters on the right begins the climb to Albarè and you will find the first signs Strada dell Eremo. For the more experienced and bike lovers it is advisable a mountain bike, which allows you to easily face the climb of cypresses and dirt road, while for those who do not want to give up comfort the e-bike is the best tool to enjoy this fantastic experience. 6 Die natürliche Grenze zwischen Bardolino und Garda ist ein magischer Ort der Kultur und Geschichte, den man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte Einen Aufstieg in die Geschichte. So lässt sich die Strecke in wenigen Worten von der Innenstadt Bardolinos bis zur Einsiedelei von San Giorgio beschreiben: eine 5 Kilometer lange Strecke, um dann eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf dem höchsten Hügel zu genießen, welcher seit Jahrhunderten die Mönche Camaldolesi beherbergt: Die Rocca von Garda. Eine klassische, flache Höhenwanderung (230 Meter), die nicht nur von Sportlern bewältigt werden kann, sondern auch von Menschen, die weniger motorisch aktiv sind. Los geht s ab Punta Cornicello und weiter geht s an der Blumenseepromenade entlang bis zur Kreuzung mit der Gardesana. Nach einigen Metern links abbiegen dann beginnt rechts der Aufstieg nach Albarè und wir finden die ersten Wegweiser Strada dell Eremo. Die Route verläuft immer auf asphaltierten Wegen, bis zu einem Kreisel, der Zypressenanstieg genannt wird, über Rebberge und Seekiefern bis zur Abzweigung der Einsiedlung, von der der ungepflasterte Weg beginnt. Nach dem Parkplatz, an dem zahlreiche Trekking-Wege abzweigen, beginnt ein leicht ansteigender Teil, der über den Wald führt und von dort aus eine unvergleichliche Aussicht auf den Gardasee bietet. Auf dem Gipfel ist der Aufenthalt ein Muss, nicht nur zum Verschnaufen sondern vor allem auch zum Staunen. Wenn Sie das geschichtsträchtige Eremo besuchen wollen, ist das nur nach Voranmeldung möglich, während Sie immer den Zugang zum ersten Teil der Anlage und zum kleinen Laden der Mönche haben, wo Sie Wein finden können, Öl, Gewürze und kleine Erzeugnisse, die ausschließlich von den Einsiedlern hergestellt werden. Die Rückreise ist eine wunderschöne und bequeme Abfahrt mit dem Gardasee vor den Augen. Für die Top-Biker ist ein Mountainbike empfehlenswert, mit dem Sie mit dem Zypressenanstieg und dem Gelände gut zurechtkommen, für alle, die nicht auf Bequemlichkeit verzichten wollen, ist das E-bike der beste Verbündete, um dieses fantastische Erlebnis zu genießen

7 La Preonda di Caterina Ugoli Il simbolo di Bardolino Esiste un simbolo di Bardolino? Per molti residenti quello è la Preonda, un antica tavola di pietra rosa levigata dal tempo che oggi si staglia in Piazza del Porto, nel punto di maggior passaggio turistico di tutto il paese. La storia di questo manufatto si perde nella notte dei tempi, anche se accreditati studi fanno risalire la sua creazione intorno al Quello che sembra certo è il suo peregrinare lungo i vicoli e le piazzette del paese, a seconda dell uso a cui veniva destinata dal podestà di turno. Inizialmente la Preonda gravitava sulla piazza comunale, proprio alla base della scalinata della chiesa di San Nicolò in Piazza Matteotti, e veniva usata dai banditori comunali per comunicare le novità e le regole del paese. Una vera e propria tribuna, insomma, che col passare degli anni venne poi utilizzata anche da improvvisati oratori locali e da cittadini che semplicemente salivano in piedi sulla tavola di pietra (all epoca probabilmente di forma rotonda) per richiamare il Comune ai propri doveri. Successivamente, forse per limitare le continue lagnanze verso il podestà e gli schiamazzi nei confronti del Comune, la pietra fu spostata davanti all albergo Bardolino, a qualche decina di metri dalla sede iniziale, poi al limitare di Piazza Matteotti e a seguire in Piazza Principe Amedeo, per poi arrivare in piazza del Porto.In questi passaggi la Preonda assunse le funzioni più disparate: tavolo di osteria, banco del pesce, bancarella per il commercio, ma con un filo comune che la accompagna dalla sua posa: è sempre stata un centro di aggregazione per i cittadini di Bardolino, a testimoniare come gli abitanti di questa cittadina sul Lago di Garda abbiano un grande senso di comunità. Non è un caso che un paese di poco più di 7 mila abitanti conti oltre 30 associazioni di volontariato fatte da persone che si mettono a disposizione per il bene dei cittadini e del territorio. La storia della Preonda ha però anche un finale romantico: si dice, infatti, che girarci intorno con la tua amata suggellerà per sempre quell amore e nel tuo destino ci sarà un altra visita a Bardolino. The story of Preonda, however, also has a romantic ending: it is said, in fact, that wandering around with your beloved will seal that love forever and in your destiny there will be another visit to Bardolino. Für viele Einwohner ist das die Preonda, ein antiker, rosafarbener Tisch aus Naturstein der heute auf der Piazza del Porto steht, der meist besuchte Spaziergang der Ortschaft. Die Geschichte dieses Artefakts verliert sich im Nebel der Zeit, obwohl anerkannte Studien seine Entstehung um das Jahr 1400 datieren. Sicher scheint zu sein, dass die Preonda, je nach dem von dem diensthabende Potestà bestimmten Zweck, in verschiedene Gassen und Plätze der Ortschaft verlegt wurde. Ursprünglich befand sich die Preonda auf dem Ortsplatz, direkt vor den Stufen der Kirche San Nicolò auf der Piazza Matteotti und wurde von den Stadtausrufern benutzt, um die Nachrichten und die Regeln der Gemeinde zu übermitteln. Es handelte sich um eine echte Tribüne, die im Laufe der Jahre auch von improvisierten lokalen Rednern und von Bürgern genutzt wurde, die sich einfach auf den Steintisch (der damals wahrscheinlich rund war) stellten, um den Stadtrat an seine Pflichten zu erinnern. Später, vielleicht um die ständigen Beschwerden an den Podestà und das Geschrei im Rathaus einzuschränken, wurde der Stein vor dem Hotel Bardolino, ein paar Dutzend Meter von seinem ursprünglichen Standort entfernt, dann an den Rand der Piazza Matteotti und dann in Piazza Principe Amedeo und schließlich zur Piazza del Porto versetzt. Während diesen Umsiedlungen hat die Preonda die unterschiedlichsten Verwendungen gefunden: als ein Tavernentisch, ein Fischstand, ein Marktstand, aber er war immer, in jeder Funktion, ein Treffpunkt für die Bürger von Bardolino und dies beweist, dass die Einwohner dieser Ortschaft am Gardasee einen starken Gemeinschaftssinn haben. Es ist kein Zufall, dass ein Ort mit etwas mehr als Einwohnern 30 ehrenamtliche Vereine hat, Mitglieder bestehen, die sich für das Wohl der Bürger und des Gebiets zur Verfügung stellen. Die Geschichte der Preonda hat auch eine romantische Bedeutung: es heißt, wenn man sie mit der geliebten Person umrundet, diese Liebe dann für immer besiegelt sei und dass es einen weiteren Besuch in Bardolino geben wird. 8 Andreas Brehme di Daniele Pagliarini Un campione del mondo a Bardolino Andreas Brehme, grande conoscenza del calcio italiano che ha vestito la maglia dell Inter all inizio degli anni 90 e campione del mondo con la nazionale tedesca nel 1990, è ormai una presenza fissa qui a Bardolino, meta prediletta per le sue vacanze. Passeggiando lungo le vie del centro storico è molto facile incontrarlo, tra lo stupore dei suoi connazionali turisti Caro Andy, hai un forte legame con l Italia. Hai giocato per l Inter per 4 anni, dal 1988 al 1992, poi sei diventato campione del mondo in Italia nel 1990 con la nazionale tedesca e ora hai scelto il Bardolino come tua seconda casa. Cosa significa per te l Italia? Amo il paese e la sua grande ospitalità, e da quando avevo 19 anni in un modo o nell altro frequente Bardolino. Amo giocare a golf la mattina. Il Lago di Garda, ti offre molte possibilità per praticarlo. Poi incontro gli amici per un bell aperitivo. Mi piace mangiare fuori a pranzo e la sera passo la maggior parte del tempo a casa a guardare il calcio in totale relax. Cosa ami particolarmente di Bardolino? Amo la gente di Bardolino. Sono davvero amichevoli. È una mentalità rilassata e che ti fa sentire bene. Ti piace mangiare a Bardolino. Cosa non dovrebbe mancare sulla tua tavola? Mi piace il pesce, come lo cucinano qui è qualcosa di straordinario. E poi la bistecca Fiorentina, che non è proprio tipica, ma la sanno preparare proprio bene! E per quanto riguarda il vino, Bardolino o Chiaretto? C è un momento per entrambi. Non escluderei nessuno dei due. Sulla tavola ci deve sempre essere un buon bicchiere per accompagnare il piatto. Quando tornerai a casa in Germania, cosa non dovrebbe mancare nel tuo bagaglio? Cosa porti con te da Bardolino? Può essere un vino o una pasta, ma sempre prodotti tipici. Puoi fare acquisti alla grande qui in Italia. Fortunatamente ci vengo spesso e quindi non devo fare grandi scorte. E poi quando le esaurisco è un altro motivo per tornare a trovarvi! Com è il tuo rapporto con lo sport oggi? Ti alleni ancora regolarmente? Sono ancora molto legato al calcio. Sono coinvolto in 4 aziende che costruiscono campi da calcio in tutto il mondo. Mi piacciono molto questi progetti che uniscono lo sport all imprenditoria. Dal punto di vista atletico tennis e golf sono le attività che ancora pratico e che mi divertono molto. Come calciatore, hai vinto quasi tutto. Quale successo sportivo ti manca? Sono molto soddisfatto dei miei successi sportivi, ma mi sarebbe piaciuto vincere la Champions League. Ho avuto l occasione di farlo nel 1987, con la maglia del Bayern Monaco, ma purtroppo abbiamo perso in finale 2 a 1 contro il Porto. Siamo stati in vantaggio 1 a 0 fino a pochi minuti dalla fine. Con la nazionale mi sarebbe piaciuto vincere l Europeo del 1992 in Svezia da capitano, dove purtroppo abbiamo perso la finale 2 a 0 contro la sorprendente Danimarca

Und was den Wein betrifft, Bardolino oder Chiaretto? Ich liebe sie beide. Auf dem Tisch darf ein gutes Glas Wein nicht fehlen. Und welchen Wein ich dann trinke, hängt vom gewählten Gericht ab. Wenn du wieder auf der Heimfahrt nach Deutschland bist, was darf in Deinem Gepäck auf keinen Fall fehlen? Was nimmst Du mit aus Bardolino? Das, worauf ich gerade Lust habe. Das kann mal ein Wein sein oder einepasta. Man kann hier in Italien super einkaufen. Da ich aber sehr oft hier bin, muss ich nicht allzu große Vorräte anlegen. Wie ist Dein Verhältnis zum Sport heute. Treibst du noch regelmäßig Sport? Mit dem Fußball bin ich noch eng verbunden. Ich bin an 4 Firmen beteiligt, die Fußballplätze auf der ganzen Welt bauen. Diese Projekte machen mir richtig Spaß. Aktiv spiele ich gerne Golf und auch Tennis. Als Fußballer hast Du fast alles gewonnen. Welcher sportliche Erfolg fehlt Dir, den Du gerne gehabt hättest? Mit meinen sportlichen Erfolgen bin ich sehr zufrieden. Aber ich hätte liebend gerne noch die Champions-League gewonnen, wo wir in Wien mit Bayern München sehr unglücklich 2:1 verloren haben (Anm.: Finale Europapokal der Landesmeister am 27. Mai 1987). Wir haben 1:0 geführt, bis ein paar Minuten vor Schluss. Und genauso hätte ich gerne als Kapitän die Europameisterschaft 1992 in Schweden gewonnen, wo wir dann leider das Finale verloren haben. Wenn du jetzt an die Europameisterschaft denkst, wer gewinnt sie Deiner Meinung nach? 10 Chiaretto di Bardolino di Angelo Peretti Non solo come aperitivo: il Chiaretto di Bardolino si accompagna perfettamente con numerosi piatti della cucina italiana Il vino rosato italiano più venduto al mondo cambia denominazione Buona cucina con vista lago a Bardolino Sul lago di Garda il rosé si chiama Chiaretto e il Chiaretto di Bardolino è il leader assoluto tra i vini rosa italiani. È un vino moderno, ma ha una storia antichissima. Quando i Romani, più di duemila anni fa, conquistarono l Italia settentrionale, insegnarono alle popolazioni locali a fare il vino utilizzando la pressa. Se si usa la pressa, il mosto rimane pochissimo tempo a contatto con le bucce: poiché il colore dell uva è contenuto nelle bucce, il vino che ne deriva èrosa, non rosso. All epoca si chiamava vinumclarum e clarum è un aggettivo che significa chiaro di colore : il nome Chiaretto proviene da lì. Il più antico documento che parla del Chiaretto nella provincia di Verona è il Vocabolario della lingua italiana dell Accademia della Crusca stampato nel L Accademia della Crusca è l istituzione che sovraintende all uso della lingua italiana. In quell edizione venivano indicati mille parole tipiche del territorio veronese: una di queste era Chiaretto. Nel 1968, il Bardolino (rosso) e il Chiaretto (rosa) furono tra i primissimi vini italiani ad avere diritto a unaloro denominazione di origine controllata. Nel 2014 i vignaioli del Chiaretto diedero vita alla Rosé Revolution, che mise in luce gli affascinanti profumi di agrumi che l uva principale della zona, la Corvina, sa conferire al vino quando viene pressata delicatamente. Nel 2021 il Ministero delle Politiche Agricole ha approvato il nuovo nome del Chiaretto, che d ora in poi non si chiama più Bardolino Chiaretto, bensì Chiaretto di Bardolino. Oggi il Chiaretto di Bardolino è noto in tutta Europa (la Germania è il secondo mercato dopo l Italia, seguita da Francia, Paesi Bassi e Scandinavia) e la sua notorietà sta crescendo negli Stati Uniti, in Canada e in Giappone. Il successo del Chiaretto deriva dalla sua fortissima identità territoriale (è un vino che ricorda la freschezza dei venti del Garda e la salinità dei suoli depositati dai ghiacciai che modellarono il lago) e dalla sua straordinaria abbinabilità. Il Chiaretto di Bardolino è perfetto con il pesce, con la pasta, il riso e i tortellini, con la mozzarella e con la pizza, con i salumi e perfino con il tartufo nero. 12 Sapori di Bardolino Dario Moda Chef Taverna Da Memo Risotto Vialone Nano al Bardolino Chiaretto e trota del Garda, melograno e monte Veronese. 300 gr di Riso Vialone Nano IGP, 300 gr di trota fario, Chiaretto di Bardolino, mezza cipolla bianca, 60 gr di Monte Veronese Dop, 10 ml di succo di melograno, 1 melograno, panna fresca, olio Garda Dop, brodo vegetale, sale e pepe. Dario Moda, chef della taverna Da Memo di Bardolino, unisce i sapori del Lago di Garda con le peculiarità agricole del territorio veronese. Questa è una delle sue creazioni più ricercate. Il procedimento: dopo aver pulito e sfilettato la trota, occorre tagliare i filetti in cubetti di circa 1 cm e metterli a marinare nel vino chiaretto per circa 1 ora in frigorifero. Al brodo vegetale, preparato a parte, si devono aggiungere la testa e le lische della trota e portare a bollitura. In una casseruola versare un filo di Olio Evo DOP del Garda e rosolare la cipolla finemente tritata, quindi aggiungete il riso e fatelo tostare alcuni minuti, versate altro Chiaretto di Bardolino per sfumarlo e portatelo a cottura aggiungendo poco per volta il brodo precedentemente filtrato. Arrivati a 3/4 di cottura del riso aggiungete la trota e il succo di melograno quindi aggiustate con sale e pepe a vostro piacimento. A cottura quasi ultimata mantecate con un filo di Olio Evo DOP. Impiattare e decorare con la fonduta di formaggio Monte Veronese Dop precedentemente sciolto a bagnomaria con un goccio di panna fresca. Utilizzare i chicchi di melograno rimasti per decorazione. Questo è il concetto che la famiglia Zeni porta avanti dal 1800, affiancando alla produzione vinicola l impegno nella promozione della conoscenza consapevole del vino. Proprio da questo ideale nasce nel 1991 il Museo del Vino, su intuizione di Nino Zeni, padre di Fausto, Elena e Federica che oggi conducono l azienda di famiglia. Gli oggetti raccolti da lui e dai figli vengono esposti, in modo pubblico e gratuito, offrendo a tutti i visitatori una testimonianza della tradizione vitivinicola veronese e della cultura del vino italiano. Il museo, che ha visto un completo rinnovo degli spazi nel 2017, è aperto tutto l anno. L esposizione comprende una vasta collezione privata di strumenti storici e antichi, tra cui due carri veronesi utilizzati negli anni 50 per il trasporto dell uva dalla campagna alla cantina durante il periodo della vendemmia e un carro con botti utilizzato per il trasporto del vino dalla Cantina di Bardolino ai commercianti di Milano e Varese. Si possono trovare, inoltre, quattro preziosissimi torchi di epoche diverse, dal 1400 al 1800, utilizzati per la spremitura delle vinacce. In evidenza anche un rudimentale impianto di appassimento delle uve usato per la produzione del vino Amarone e antichi attrezzi del mestiere quali imbuti e secchielli in legno, oltre che gerle per il trasporto del mosto e del vino. Il percorso termina con pompe enoiche destinate ai travasi, costruite nei primi del Novecento, e con un antico tavolo da bottaio correlato da diversi attrezzi utilizzati per la creazione delle botticelle atte alla conservazione e al trasporto del vino. Il museo, pensato come una piacevole passeggiata tra storia e tradizione, presenta un allestimento raffinato e curato nei minimi dettagli. Tutti gli oggetti esposti, di inestimabile valore, sono stati conservati e restaurati negli anni con grande cura e oggi narrano la loro storia in modo accattivante, attraverso pannelli e didascalie in italiano, tedesco e inglese, oltre a supporti multimediali tra cui un album fotografico interattivo, lo Story Book ZENI1870, realizzato per festeggiare i 150 anni della Cantina. Dalla terrazza panoramica del museo, aperta a tutti, si può inoltre godere di una meravigliosa vista sul Lago di Garda e sui maggiori punti d interesse storico, culturale e naturalistico che questo offre. La torre di San Martino della Battaglia, Le Grotte di Catullo, Punta San Vigilio e La Rocca di Manerba. Die Ausstellung umfasst eine umfangreiche Privatsammlung historischer und antiker Instrumente, darunter zwei Veroneser Karren, die in den 1950er Jahren während der Erntezeit zum Transport der Trauben vom Land zur Kellerei verwendet wurden, sowie einen Karren mit Fässern, der zum Transport des Weins von der Bardolino-Kellerei zu Händlern in Mailand und Varese verwendet wurde. 14 La Tirlindana di Andrea Bentivoglio Non solo una tecnica di pesca, ma un vero e proprio oggetto che ha rivoluzionato l economia del Lago di Garda Esiste una tecnica di pesca sul Lago di Garda che ha contribuito a rivoluzionare non solo il modo di catturare il pescato, ma anche la vita sociale ed economica della popolazione. Si chiama tirlindana ed è un sistema composto da un lungo filo di oltre 80 metri dal quale partono numerosi spezzoni di lenza lunghi 10 metri su cui vengono legate le esche: dei piccoli pezzi di lamiera lucida che simulano un pesciolino vero. Tale tecnica si usa con la barca in movimento, trascinando questo lungo filo che attira i predatori come lucci, trote, persici e cavedani. Fino alla prima metà del 1800 il lavoro del pescatore sul Lago di Garda era destinata esclusivamente ai proprietari di costose reti in cotone, che prevedevano decine di uomini e barche per il trasporto e la posa. I pescatori dovevano accontentarsi di quello che i proprietari delle reti erano disposti a dare, spesso con trattative al ribasso. Il Garda era ed è molto pescoso e quando i pescatori si sono accorti che con poca spesa si potevano attrezzare con una tirlindana e rendersi indipendenti cambiò completamente la situazione economica e lavorativa. I proprietari delle reti iniziarono ad offrire una retribuzione più alta per convincere i pescatori a lavorare per loro e dall altra parte l avvento della nuova tecnica permise a molte famiglie di mettersi in proprio, sfamarsi meglio e acquistare a loro volta le reti. Una vera e propria rivoluzione sociale e come tale avversata, tanto da essere marchiata anche come strumento del diavolo che toglie i giovani dall operoso lavoro della campagna e dell officina. La tirlindana venne poi soppiantata dai pescatori professionisti con l avvento del nylon, che permetteva di produrre reti efficaci e dai costi contenuti alla portata di tutti. Oggi questo tipo di pesca viene ancora utilizzata dai pescatori locali a livello sportivo amatoriale, che puntano a salvaguardare questa tradizione. A tutela di ciò è stata anche creata l associazione Pesca Sportiva Bardolino, che conta un centinaio di soci e salvaguarda la storia della pesca a Bardolino. Non è inusuale vedere dai porti di Bardolino e Cisano le piccole e colorate imbarcazioni che partono all alba e tornano prima di mezzogiorno con il pescato catturato con la tirlindana, tramandando anche alle nuove generazioni questa tecnica della tradizione. 27

15 The Tirlindana There is a fishing technique on Lake Garda that has helped to revolutionize not only the way of catching fish, but also the social and economic life of the population. It is called tirlindana and it is a system composed of a long wire of over 100 meters from which depart numerous lengths of fishing line 10 meters long on which the baits are tied: small pieces of shiny sheet metal that simulate a real fish. Eine wahrhaft soziale Revolution, die nicht von allen gern gesehen wurde und daher als Instrument des Teufels, der junge Leute von der fleißigen Arbeit des Landes und der Werkstatt abzieht gebrandmarkt wurde. Die Tirlindana wurde dann von den Berufsfischern durch Nylon ersetzt, das die Produktion effizienterer und kostengünstigerer Netze ermöglichte. Heute wird diese Art der Fischerei von den lokalen Fischern noch im Amateursport betrieben, die diese Tradition bewahren wollen. Zu diesem Schutz wurde auch der Verband Pesca Sportiva Bardolino gegründet, der 100 Mitglieder hat und die Geschichte der Fischerei in Bardolino bewahrt.
