"Binarization methods for images from cameras of cellular telephones" performed in the Imaging Group of the S.T.Microelectronics in Catania. The thesis has concerned the study and the development of techniques for binarization of digital images acquired by cameras of cellular telephones, characterized by low resolution and shades. An implementation on Symbian OS in C++ has been realized for cellular telephone Nokia 7650, with an application for the dispatch of fax. La tesi ha riguardato lo studio e l implementazione di varie tecniche per la binarizzazione d immagini digitali acquisite dalla camera di telefoni cellulari, caratterizzate da bassa risoluzione ed ombre.
