1 rolex Capri sailing Week YC ITALIANO CRV ITALIA CC ANIENE YC CAPRI Farr 40 Class regatta Capri - May 10-13, 2017 NotiCe of race 1. ORGANIZATION 2. RULES The Regatta will be organized by Yacht Club Italiano, Circolo Remo e Vela Italia, Yacht Club Capri, Circolo Canottieri Aniene and Farr 40 Class Association. 2.1 This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the Farr 40 Class Rules. 2.2 Yachts shall comply with the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations, Category 4 (except that (a) shall not apply for this event) and Appendix 3 of the Farr 40 Class Rules. In the event of conflict, designer and manufacturers original standards shall prevail. 2.3 Please refer to Class Rule 30 which states Except on a beat to windward, a boat s crew may pull in any sail any number of times. This changes RRS 42.3 (c). 2.4 Delete the first and second sentences of RRS 44.1 and substitute the following: A boat may take a One-Turn Penalty, consisting of one tack and one gybe, when she may have broken a rule of Part 2, Rule 31, or Rule 42 while racing. However, if a boat may have broken a rule of Part 2 within the zone of a mark other than a starting mark, the penalty that may be taken is a Two- Turns Penalty. This changes RRS In RRS 44.2 insert after the first sentence: However if Mark 1a is set, a boat may delay taking a penalty for an incident in the zone around Mark 1 or on the leg between Mark 1 and Mark 1a, until she has passed Mark 1a. 2.6 When leaving the dock, boats shall carry a minimum of 1.5 liters of drinkable liquid up to a maximum of 4 liters, per person per day. This liquid is included in the restrictions for moveable ballast in RRS 51, except when being consumed by a crew member. 2.7 In RRS 55 add the following: Bilge water, bodily fluids and biodegradable sail stops are not trash under this rule. A breach of this rule, pertaining to non-biodegradable sail stops only, is not open to protest by boats and may only be protested by the Race Committee or Protest Committee. This changes RRS In RRS 61.1(a), after the second sentence, add the following words: The red flag shall have the minimum dimensions of 45cm x 45 cm and shall be displayed vertically from the backstay, below the backstay flag. This changes RRS Video, electronic data and /or photographs taken from any source shall not be used as evidence at a protest hearing or request for redress, except that Race Committee voice recordings are permitted to be used as evidence. This changes RRS If there is a conflict between the NOR and the SI, the SI shall prevail. Neither the NOR nor the SI shall change nor alter any Class Rules. This changes RRS Due to safety concerns it is not required to carry fuel for the stove onboard It is not required to carry the builder supplied bunk cushions or water bladder onboard.

ADVERTISING 3.1 Advertising is permitted in accordance with World Sailing Regulation Each yacht may be required to display event advertising on their bow, backstay and boom, and may be strongly urged to fly the forestay battleflag while docked. 3.3 Boats shall display stickers and flags with the sponsor logo supplied by the Organizing Authority. Flags shall be flown during the race (small flag) and in the harbour (large flag). 4. ELIGIBILITY 5. ENTRIES The regatta is open to all Farr 40 Class yachts as defined by the Class Rules. Owners, charterers and Substitute helmsmen shall be current members of the Farr 40 Class Association and approved by the Farr 40 Class Eligibility Review Committee. 5.1 Eligible boats may enter and pay the non-refundable 1.500,00 entry fee online, by 11 pm of May 2nd Entry fee and copy of the Measurement Certificate shall be included and are required. 5.2 Late entries (arrived after the due date) in any event not later May 5th 2017, if accepted by the Organizing Committee, will have a 50% surcharge. 5.3 All entries arrived without the entry fee will not be accepted. 6. SCHEDULE 7. MEASUREMENTS AND INSPECTION Tuesday 9th May from 2.00 p.m. Registration Wednesday 10th May a.m. Races Thursday 11th May a.m. Races Friday 12th May a.m. Races Saturday 13h May a.m. Races Saturday 13th May 7.00 p.m. Prize giving 6.1 The Race Committee intends to conduct as many races as practicable, up to a maximum of 11 races for the series. No Warning Signal will be made after 1500 on the last scheduled day of racing, except as a consequence of a general recall. 7.1 Inspection will take place on May 8 and 9. Each yacht shall provide a minimum of 1 person to facilitate inspection. 7.2 Crew will be weighed on the official scales at registration. 7.3 All sails must be buttoned and declared as per Class Rules. Random measurement will be conducted. The Class Secretary shall advise on site which sails will be measured. 7.4 Random yacht and equipment inspections may be conducted prior to, between races and after racing each day to check for compliance with Class Rules, the NOR and the Word Sailing Offshore Special Regulations, Category 4, except as modified by this NOR SAILING INSTRUCTION 9. VENUE 10. SCORING Sailing Instructions will be available to competitors at the Race Office in Capri after 2,00 p.m. Tuesday May 9th Gulf of Naples, in the waters of the island of Capri 10.1 Each yacht s score shall be the sum of all of her race scores with no discard, 11 races are scheduled. This changes RRS Appendix A Four races are required to be completed to constitute a series.

DISCLAIMER The penalty, if any, for any infringement of the rules (including the Class Rules and World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations, Category 4) other than rules of Part 2 will be at the sole discretion of the Protest Committee in consultation with the Class Representative, and may be other than disqualification. This changes RRS Yachts may be hauled out only with the prior written permission of the Protest Committee, and under such terms as they may decide. Normally, the Protest Committee shall grant such permission only if necessary to repair damage. While hauled out, bottoms and foils shall not be sanded, polished, washed or otherwise worked on except in the area of repair as permitted by the Protest Committee. Hulls and appendages may be cleaned in the water. Berthing is provided from Monday 8th May to Sunday 14th 2017 in the Porto Turistico di Capri, subject to availability. Moorings will be allocated by the Organizing Committee on a first come first served basis according to the timing of their entries Trophies will be awarded for first through third place overall, first through third Corinthian boats Prize-giving will take place Saturday 13th May 2017 at p.m. in Capri. Competitors will be informed about social events by a notice posted on the official notice board All those taking part in the race do so at their own risk and responsibility. The owner (or charterer) and each crew member: (a) acknowledges and accepts the risks (including the risk of harm to persons and property and the risks associated with the perils of the sea and the seaworthiness of any boat) associated with participation in this regatta and waives all rights against and releases, the Organizing Authority, the Farr 40 Management Group, Stagg Yachts, the Farr 40 Executive Committee, the Yacht Club Italiano, and their respective officers, employees, volunteers and members in respect of any loss of life or injury to persons, or loss of or damage to property, suffered in connection therewith; (b) acknowledges that participation in this Regatta is entirely at his (her) risk and responsibility and that, the Organizing Authority, the Farr 40 Management Group, Stagg Yachts, the Farr 40 Executive Committee, the Organizers Yacht Club, and their respective officers, employees, volunteers and members are not responsible for any boat or its crew; 16.2 Specific attention is drawn to RRS Fundamental Rule 4, which states: The responsibility for a boat s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. 17. INSURANCE Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro ,00 as required by the FIV General Regulation. For the offshore races which take place at night, an additional insurance cover for every member of crew is recommended.

ORGANIZZAZIONE La regata è organizzata da Yacht Club Italiano, Circolo Remo e Vela Italia, Yacht Club Capri, Circolo Canottieri Aniene e Farr 40 Class Association. 2. REGOLE 2.1 La regata è disciplinata dalle Regole come definite dalle Regole di Regata (RSS) e dalle Regole della Classe Farr 40. In caso di conflitto, fanno fede i testi in inglese del Bando o delle Istruzioni di Regata. 2.2 Le barche devono essere conformi alle WS Offshore Special Regulations , Categoria 4 (solo il punto (a) non sarà applicato) e all Appendice 3 delle Regole di Classe Farr 40. In caso di conflitto, prevalgono gli standard originali di progetto e cantiere. 2.3 Vale la Regola di Classe 30 che afferma: Tranne quando si è di bolina, l equipaggio può cazzare qualsiasi vela quante volte vuole. Ciò modifica RRS 42.3 (c). 2.4 La prima e la seconda frase della RRS 44.1 va sostituita con: Una barca farà un giro di penalità, consistente in una virata e una abbattuta, se infrange una regola della Parte 2, la Regola 31 o la Regola 42 durante la regata. Comunque, se una barca infrange una regola della Parte 2 nella zona di una boa diversa dalla boa di partenza, dovrà eseguire due giri di penalità. Ciò modifica la RRS Nella RRS 44.2, dopo la prima frase, inserire: Comunque se la Boa 1a è in posizione, una barca potrà rimandare il compimento della penalità per un incidente in zona Boa 1 oppure sul lato fra la Boa 1 e la 1a, finché non ha superato la boa 1a. 2.6 Lasciata la banchina, le barche possono portare da minimo 1,5 a un massimo di 4 litri di liquidi da bere, per persona e al giorno. Questi liquidi sono inclusi nelle restrizioni per i ballast mobili nella RRS 51 tranne quando sono consumati da un componente l equipaggio. 2.7 Nella RRS 55 aggiungere: Acque di scarico, fluidi corporei, fermi biodegradabili per vele non sono considerati immondizia secondo questa regola. Un infrazione a questa regola riguardante i fermi per le vele non biodegradabili, non è motivo di protesta fra le barche; solo il Comitato di Regata o di Protesta può protestare. Ciò modifica la RRS Nella RRS 61.1 (a), dopo la seconda frase, aggiungere: La bandiera rossa di dimensioni minime 45x45 cm dovrà essere esposta verticalmente sul paterazzo, sotto la bandiera di poppa. Ciò modifica la RRS Video, dati elettronici, fotografie di qualsiasi fonte non potranno essere usate nella discussione di una protesta o di una richiesta di riparazione, mentre le registrazioni vocali del Comitato di Regata sono permesse come prove. Ciò modifica la RRS In caso di conflitto tra Bando e Istruzioni di Regata, le Istruzioni prevarranno. Né il Bando né le Istruzioni potranno modificare o alterare le Regole di Classe. Ciò modifica la RRS Per motivi di sicurezza non è richiesto portare combustibile per il fornello Non è richiesto di imbarcare i cuscini delle cuccette o il serbatoio flessibile per l acqua.

ENTRY 3.1 La pubblicità è permessa secondo le regole della World Sailing Regulation Le barche dovranno esporre la pubblicità dell evento a prua, sul paterazzo e sul boma e, quando all ormeggio, dovranno issare la bandiera dell evento sullo strallo. 3.3 Le barche dovranno esporre adesivi e bandiere dello sponsor, che saranno forniti dall Organizzazione. Le bandiere andranno issate sia in regata (la piccola) sia in porto (la grande) La regata è aperta a tutte le barche della Classe Farr 40 come definite dalle Regole di Classe. I proprietari, noleggiatori e timonieri sostitutivi dovranno essere associati alla Classe Farr 40 ed approvati dal Comitato di eleggibilità della Classe Farr I concorrenti dovranno iscriversi e pagare la quota di iscrizione di (non restituibile), entro le ore 23 del 2 maggio 2017, allegandoo copia del Certificato di Stazza. 5.2 Iscrizioni pervenute dopo tale data, ma comunque non oltre il 5 maggio 2017, se accettate dal Comitato organizzatore saranno maggiorate del 50%. 5.3 Iscrizioni prive del pagamento della relativa quota non saranno accetate. 6. PROGRAMMA Martedì 9 maggio dalle Mercoledì 10 maggio ore Giovedì 11 maggio ore Venerdì 12 maggio ore Sabato 13 maggio ore Sabato 13 maggio ore Registrazione Premiazione 6.1 Il Comitato di Regata ha in programma di fare disputare quante più prove possibili, fino ad un massimo di 11. Nessun segnale di avviso sarà dato dopo le ore dell ultimo giorno in programma, salvo che non vi sia stato un richiamo generale. 7. MISURAZIONI E ISPEZIONI 7.1 Le ispezioni avranno luogo l 8 e il 9 maggio. Ogni barca dovrà mettere a disposizione almeno una persona per facilitarle. 7.2 Gli equipaggi saranno pesati sulla bilancia ufficiale alla registrazione. 7.3 Tutte le vele devono avere il bottone e vanno dichiarate come da regole di Classe. Saranno effettuate misurazioni casuali. Il segretario di Classe informerà su quali vele saranno misurate. 7.4 Ispezioni casuali a barche ed equipaggiamento potranno essere effettuate prima, durante e dopo ogni regata, per verificare la conformità con le regole di Classe, il Bando di Regata e le WOffshore Special Regulations, Categoria 4, eccetto quanto modificato da questo NOR al punto ISTRUZIONI DI REGATA 9. LOCALITÀ Le Istruzioni di Regata saranno disponibili presso la Segreteria regate di Capri dalle ore 14 di martedì 9 maggio Golfo di Napoli, specchio acqueo dell isola di Capri.

SCARICO DI RESPONSABILITÀ 17. ASSICURAZIONE 10.1 Il punteggio di ogni barca sarà la somma dei punteggi di ogni regata delle 11 in programma, senza prova di scarto. Ciò modifica la RRS Appendix A Vanno completate almeno quattro regate per costituire una serie. Le penalità per ogni infrazione alle regole (incluso le regole di Classe e le WS Offshore Special Regulations, Categoria 4), che non siano della Parte 2, saranno a discrezione del Comitato delle Proteste, che si consulterà col rappresentante di Classe e potrebbe non portare a squalifica. Ciò modifica la RRS 64.1 Le barche potranno essere alate solo previa autorizzazione del Comitato per le Proteste e alle condizioni da questo decise. Normalmente il Comitato per le Proteste potrà concedere il permesso solo per la riparazione di un danno. Durante l alaggio lo scafo e le appendici non potranno essere sabbiate, pulite, lavate o lavorate in alcun modo ad eccezione della parte danneggiata, come autorizzato dal Comitato per le Proteste. Scafi e appendici potranno essere puliti in acqua. Gli ormeggi, gratuiti, saranno assegnati a cura del Comitato Organizzatore, seguendo l ordine di iscrizione e fino ad esaurimento della disponibilità, da lunedì 8 maggio a domenica 14 maggio 2017, alle banchine del Porto Turistico di Capri Saranno assegnati premi dal primo al terzo classificato nella classifica Overall e Corinthian La premiazione avrà luogo sabato 13 maggio 2017a Capri. Il programma delle manifestazioni collaterali sarà comunicato tramite affissione all albo ufficiale per i comunicati L armatore - o noleggiatore - e ogni membro di equipaggio dichiarano: (a) di partecipare alla Regata a proprio rischio, pericolo e responsabilità; (b) di conoscere e accettare i rischi relativi a questa partecipazione, ai pericoli del mare, alle capacità nautiche della propria barca, ai danni a persone e cose che ne possono derivare; (b) di liberare da ogni responsabilità, quindi di rinunciare a tutti i diritti, l Autorità organizzatrice, il Farr 40 Management Group, Stagg Yachts, il Comitato esecutivo Farr 40, i Circoli organizzatori, i loro rispettivi funzionari, dipendenti, volontari e membri, in relazione a perdita di vite umane, lesioni a persone, perdite o danni di danni di qualsiasi tipo Si prega di leggere con particolare attenzione la regola 4: Decisione di partecipare alla regata del RR WS ) in cui si afferma: La responsabilità di una barca di partecipare a una regata o di rimanere in regata è solo sua. Le barche partecipanti devono essere in possesso dell assicurazione RCT, con estensione alla partecipazione a regate e copertura minima di ,00, come previsto dalla Normativa Generale FIV. Per le prove d altura con navigazione notturna si raccomanda una copertura assicurativa supplementare per l intero equipaggio.
