3 Era l anno 1944 quando Carlo Antonio Crippa dava vita a una bottega destinata a diventare una protagonista nel settore dell illuminazione d interni. Tutto grazie alla sua capacità di radunare intorno a sé i designers più prestigiosi, a cominciare da Oscar Torlasco, la prima delle tante firme che, negli anni, avrebbero contribuito a rendere inconfondibili le collezioni LUMI. Oggi, l Azienda, pur se gestita con severi criteri manageriali, continua ad essere il laboratorio dove la materia viene piegata alla fantasia dell artista. Il lavoro manuale, anche se impiega moderne tecnologie, è ancora l unico in grado di esaltare la preziosità dei materiali utilizzati: splendenti cristalli Swarovski e Asfour; eleganti stoffe o pergamene; acciaio o ottone satinati o lucidi per le accurate rifiniture e le artistiche cesellature a mano che completano ogni esemplare prodotto. Caratteristiche che fanno di ogni lampada LUMI un gioiello e, come tale, una concreta espressione del concetto di bello, la dimostrazione che l arte non nasce dal caso, ma è sintesi di pazienza e ingegno.
