1 Yvonne Bezrucka PhD (RHBNC) Associate Professor of English Literature Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures Università di Verona Internationalization Delegate and Chairperson of the Erasmus Commission Coordinator of the Doctoral School of Anglofonia Since 1993 she has been working at Verona University, at first as Assistant to the Chair of English Literature, Prof. Maria Teresa Bindella (Cultore della Materia), and from 1998 to the year 2000 as a post-doctoral fellow. In the year 2000 she won the national competition for Full Tenure Track as Assistant Professor (Concorso per Ricercatrice). In January 2005 she won the National Competition for Associate Professor (Concorso per Professore Associato) and was appointed to Verona University. 2 and Internationalization Delegate (2012 to date and ) of the Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere at Università di Verona (Foreign Languages and Literatures Department at Verona University) Meets all the requirements for qualification for the Habilitation to Full Professorship (ASN: Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale per Professore Ordinario) according to the Italian Government s new competition rules (results have not appeared yet) Representative of the Associate Professors in the English Department 2005 Wins the Competition for Associate Professor and is appointed by Verona University Assistant Professor at the University of Verona, Full Tenure Track (Ricercatrice) Wins the Competion for Assistant Professor at the University of Verona Attains first place in the Competition for the Secondary School Teacher Qualification Teaches Didactics of Foreign Languages at the University of Trento (Rovereto TN) 1993 Ph.D. in English Literature from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, Egham, University of London, RHBNC : Works as teacher of English Language and Literature and German Language and Literature in various secondary Institutions (Lycées) in Trento, Italy B.A. degree in Foreign Languages at IULM, University of Milan, Feltre (VC) Academic Expertise and Research Areas Her main research areas are in the field Modernism, Postmodernism and Victorian Studies with a particular emphasis on Aesthetics and Literature (strategies of literary representation and aesthetic legitimisation: beauty, enframing, mimesis, reality effects); Visual Culture and Visual Rhetoric (painting, sculpture, architecture, garden landscape, cinema, photography and design); Aesthetics and cultural regionalisms (revisions of the classical ideas of beauty); Charles Darwin s Legacies in Literature; Body Politics and Policies, Identity Politics and Policies (human rights, body aesthetics, self-fashioning aesthetics, ethnicity, sex and gender, social class and age discriminations); Material Culture, Cultural Studies, Interrelation of Bodies and Technology; Law and Literature, Bioethics and Literature, Eco-criticism. Cultural Studies are a constant area of reference for her research. Since 2000 she has always been a Member and a Tutor of the various Doctoral Schools of the Foreign Languages Faculty and she has been the supervisor of various Doctoral Students. She has many years of teaching experience in the 18 th, 19 th, 20 th Centuries. She has also taught Didactics for two years at the University of Trento (Italy) and has held various courses in Creative Writing.
