1 This week I have been walking round San Marco and surrounding areas to find things that catch my eye to take pictures of. These pictures were of various things but majority included people. The reason for this is because I enjoy doing portrait photography. I am very happy with the photos I have taken and have chosen my 6 favourite to explain further. In this picture I have captured the speed of the bike compared to the lady walking. I like this picture as it also shows the age difference between the two people in the photo. The younger 1/8

I think this photo shows peace and quiet and also how unique the individual is because of his sense of style. 3 Here is another photo i took when i visited the university. This photo was took outside. I like the natural light in this photo and how relaxing it appears. 3/8

I thought this man would be interesting as he has a unique sense of style and stands out from the crowd of people in the street. 5 man. In England many people do not dress unique as people stare and it is seen as weird. I like this photo as it shows he is not afraid to be different. This photo was also taken outside of a McDonalds. I think there is a big contrast again between the man and the place the photo is taken as McDonalds is internationally known and popular and this man is one of a kind. (Via Cavour) 5/8

6 On Friday I also visited Piazza Santa Croce. I walked around this area taking photos that I found interesting. The reason why I decided to take a photo of this man is because he is sitting with his back to the camera which makes him seem distant as if he is reflecting on things. I also think that the bike next to his makes it look like it is very important to him, like a important possession. 6/8

7 This is a photo that i took on Friday 11 th at a vintage market of a painting that was for sale. The reason I like this picture is again because of the positioning and also the contrast in beauty form the painting to the ground. I think that the painter is very talented and think that this picture shows his/her talent. From my experience of working in Florence, Italy, i have learnthow to use the light as a advantage. I have also started to think more about the foregroud and background. When i go back to the UK i will start to walk around the streets more to see if there is anything interesting that i can photograph because my time in Italy has shown me that there is more to see when you are not looking.
