(Ez.9,6). Quello per il TAU era un amore che scaturiva da una appassionata venerazione per la santa croce, per l umiltà del Cristo, oggetto continuo delle meditazioni di Francesco. Il TAU era inoltre per il Santo il segno concreto della sua salvezza e la vittoria di Cristo sul male.
