The idea behind this design is to preserve traces of the process of creation within the surface of the ceramic material, starting out from what is perhaps the most significant, spectacular element: the moment the material is poured into the moulds. E un materiale adatto sia per interni che per esterni, per rivestimenti e pavimenti, per zone ad alto traffico e non. Di estrema attualità, è la versione incisa: Brocado. Qui il decoro si ripete infinitamente attraverso la composizione seriale di trame e sottotrame, rendendo minimale anche la ricchezza di una così preziosa incisione. This project combines surfaces, textures, and different materials: glass mosaic with porcelain stoneware. VELVET Design Silvia Giacobazzi 2006 Velvet ricorda i consunti mosaici veneziani, dove il vetro rimanda, nella sua opacità, a dissolte trasparenze. La luce prende corpo, per poi sciogliersi di nuovo dilatando gli spazi. Il vetro con le sue trasparenze ed i suoi riflessi sfumati, è qualcosa che sempre si adatta al mondo contemporaneo anche negli spazi utilizzabili al di là della sfera privata e volti alla collettività. Velvet brings to mind timeworn Venetian mosaics, where the opacity of the glass lends a hint of fading transparency. Light becomes solid only to scatter once again, expanding the feeling of space. La modularità degli elementi permette giochi, abbinamenti e composizioni astratte che unendosi danno vita a forme organiche e inusuali.
