DESCRIZIONE DEL PRODOTTO Coccio Antico e Coccio Cemento by Oikos sono stucchi murali naturali di alta qualità, a base di calce, che consentono la realizzazione di preziose finiture decorative in interni. Coccio Antico, con il suo contenuto di granuli di terracotta selezionati ricalca l antica lavorazione a cocciopesto. Coccio Cemento contiene granuli di cemento e crea superfici materiche di aspetto più moderno. Entrambe le applicazioni conferiscono agli ambienti un aspetto ricco, rustico ed elegante. Entrambi i prodotti possono essere lasciati opachi o rifiniti a effetto marmo, tipico nei prestigiosi stucchi veneziani. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Coccio Antico and Coccio Cemento by Oikos are high quality, natural, lime based stuccos that allow the realisation of precious decorative finishes for interiors. Coccio Antico, with its formula containing selected, terracotta granules, recreates the antique cocciopesto effect. Coccio Cemento contains cement granules and creates surfaces with a more modern design appearance. The application of both products give a rich, elegant feel but can also be used to obtain a more rustic setting. Both products can also be left matt or can be given a marble effect, gloss, finish, typical of plush, Venetian stuccos. CARATTERISTICHE Coccio Antico e Coccio Cemento by Oikos sono speciali stucchi a base di grassello di calce integrati con granuli di pietra, terracotta o cemento. La colorazione è dovuta a pigmenti inorganici a base di ossidi e terre colorate. Lavorati con attrezzi differenti producono diverse finiture (opaca, semilucida o lucida). CHARACTERISTICS Coccio Antico and Coccio Cemento by Oikos are special lime based stuccos, integrated with granules of stone, terracotta or cement. The coloration is give by means of inorganic, oxide based pigments and coloured earth. By working the products with different tools, various finishes can be achieved (matt, semi-gloss and gloss). Coccio Antico and Coccio Cemento are highly vapour permeable and contribute to maintaining the settings in which they are applied, healthy. La calce spenta veniva miscelata con arene, sabbie, polveri marmoree o graniglie di pietra. La lavorazione a cocciopesto nelle calci pozzolaniche, nasce con l intento di riciclare frammenti di terracotta (cocci). I frammenti venivano triturati e usati come riempitivo. Il materiale così preparato dava luogo a una finitura di tenace durezza con un risultato estetico di pregio. La lavorazione, nata come povera, si è trasformata nel tempo in una finitura ricercata, destinata ad impieghi importanti e prestigiosi. Cocciopesto, walls with tradition There are many materials that have historically been used for lime based finishes. Slaked lime would be mixed with clay, sand, marble powder or stone grains. The Cocciopesto effect using pozzolanic lime, came from the idea of recycling fragments of terracotta (cocci). These fragments were crushed and used as fillers. Preparing the material in this way gave rise to a finish that had good durability with a sought after, aesthetic effect. This finish was born as a poor finish but over time has been transformed into a highly desirable effect often used in important and very prestigious projects. 6

The use of COCCIO ANTICO by OIKOS guarantees the maximum vapour permeability of the wall and aids the natural diffusion of humidity through the substrate, therefore avoiding the formation, over time, of mould and bacteria. The product's composition, based on lime putty and granules of terracotta, make it particularly adapt for decoration in an antique style. It is has a low odour level, is non in-flammable, and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal Use Decoration of walls and indoor furniture. Surface preparation Clean the surface to be decorated, removing any loose material and apply the recommended fixative, IL PRIMER by OIKOS, in order to ensure good adhesion of the product to the surface. Application method To achieve the perfect finish, apply the product in three coats using an inox steel trowel by OIKOS. First coat: apply the first coat of COCCIO ANTICO in such a way as to smooth over the surface, paying careful attention to not break the granules. Wait for 6 8 hours until dry. Second coat: apply the product onto a section of the surface. Maintaining the trowel on its edge, proceed to break the granules in the first coat at the same time removing the excess leftover product of the second coat. Repeat this for the whole of the wall, wait 6 8 hours until dry Final coat: can be carried out in two different ways. Alternative a) apply a thin layer of COCCIO ANTICO by OIKOS, proceeding at the same time to polish by smoothing over the surface.
