What is a library catalogue? A library catalogue tells you what material (with specific information about the type of material) is held by a particular library. Most libraries have computerised catalogues which allow you to access the library catalogue via the Internet. This type of computerised catalogue is often called OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue).

The citation linker can determine if the item is available electronically via full-text; if the item is available in print in the library or if the item needs to be requested through the interlibrary loan service.
