2 B2 In case you cannot log on in the FTP, you can work around this issue, follow ing these steps: 1. Start Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options. 3. Click the Advanced tab. 4. Under Browsing, Click to select the Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer) check box, and then click OK. 5. In Windows Explorer, enter the URL of the FTP site, and then press ENTER. B3 Enter in the folder SOCIO300TIS ;; Download the file Setup_Socio_300_TIS_PC_rel_129_rev1.exe on your desktop (*); NOTE:THE FILE MUST TO BE DOWNLOADED FROM FTP ON YOUR DESKTOP. DON T RUN IT FROM THE FTP PAGE. C1 Select the language and click on OK; 2

3 C2 In the EULA page, select I m agree. Click on Next ;; C3 Fill the form. Click on Next C4 Wait several minutes that the procedure ends. The time can depend of the characteristics of the PC. COM PORT SETTINGS SOCIO 300 D1 Open RUN by clicking the Start button clicking on it type devmgmt.msc and click on OK, and then if you don t find RUN, read step D2 3

4 D2 In case you are using WINDOWS VISTA/SEVEN/8 You can also access the Run command by pressing the Windows logo key +R. D3 In the device manager, select PORTS (COM and LPT) and verify which is the value for USB Serial Port (COM X): where X is the number that you have to set in the setup. D4 In the software settings, select Autodiagnosys Connection Settings, and set the COM value with the COM number read in step D3 Now the Socio300 Premium is set to work with USB cable. D5 in case you have this message: TIMEOUT:IMPOSSIBLE TO COMUNICATE WITH THE MODULE, is necessary to execute the file CDM exe, from the folder C:\tecno\driver usb-ad IMPORTANT: THE USB CABLE MUST TO BE PLUGGED IN DURING THIS FASE. 4

5 BLUETOOTH SETTINGS VALID FOR OS Windows Vista / Seven / Windows 8 Before proceeding with the configuration, you must install the Bluetooth device driver. If you use a built-in Bluetooth to your PC, you will not have to make any installation of drivers, except as otherwise set up in your computer. E1 If the software is correct installed in the computer, i will appear on the toolbar. E2 Click on the icon and select add a New Bluetooth Device. First of all is important that the tool is powered on. E3 The screen will show all devices found. If the BT will find our Socio Premium, will appear a PREMIUM ;; confirm clicking on NEXT ;; 5

6 E4 The program will ask for the passkey: is necessary to digit in capital letter TECNO. Go ahead clicking on NEXT ;; E5 Now click on PREMIUM twice, then select service : after few seconds, will appear the COM port set for BT communication. Sign this COM value (COM10 in our example); E8 Run the Program (Socio Premium) and go in the settings. Click on autodiagnosys connection Settings. Set the Bluetooth configuration: Use Bluetooth: true Bluetooth Com Port: COM X ( put the value read in step E5) 6
