SITE DESCITION 4.1 General site character Habitat class % Cover N N N N N N N Total Habitat Cover 100 Other Site Characteristics Fiume con letto ghiaioso molto ampio, a corso semipianeggiante ma in ambiente submontano di vallata interna e larga, fiancheggiato da foreste ripariali di salici appartenenti a specie diverse (Salix alba, S. purpurea, S. triandra). Sui terrazzi maggiormente consolidati si sviluppano boschi ad Almus glutinosa, dell'associazione Alno-Fraxinetum oxycarpae. Importanti sono gli arbusteti del mantello di vegetazione a Hippophae rhamnoides e Juniperus communis su ghiaie e sabbie fluviali dell'appennino. Ambienti di confluenza nel letto principale di corsi analoghi quali il io della occa (ratiffi) e il Torrente Messa. 4.2 Quality and importance Specie e associazioni vegetali non comuni nel territorio. iguardo la specie Austropotamobius pallipes, si presume la presenza di una popolazione sparsa, non isolata ma ai margini dell'area di distribuzione, di cui è stato accertato, in passato, uno stato di buona conservazione che andrà comunque valutato nel corso dei futuri monitoraggi da eseguire nel sito. 5.
