2 PART 1 - ENGINE IDENTIFICATION / PARTE 1 - IDENTIFICAZIONE MOTORE To identify correct engine parts, like we already do with Lombardini and Ruggerini engines, even with Kohler engines you need to check the engine version/specification ( Spec No. ) and serial number ( Serial No ). You can find this information on the name-plate/decal fitted to every engine, as you can see in this picture. Come per i motori Lombardini e Ruggerini, anche nel caso dei motori Kohler è necessario che verifichiate il numero di versione ( Spec No. ) e di matricola ( Serial No ), in modo da consentire la corretta identificazione dei ricambi richiesti per il vostro motore. Questi dati sono chiaramente indicati sulla targhetta di ciascun motore, come potete vedere in questa immagine.

3 Kohler utilizes two systems to name their engines (one for the older engines and another for the newer ones). So on the identification name-plate/decal you may find, for example : Model No. : CV25S or CV730S (new system) Spec. N : or CV Serial N : EXPLANATION OF ENGINE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS A. Model Number : CV25S or CV730S means Command engine Vertical crankshaft 25 HP S electric start or alternatively Command engine Vertical crankshaft 730 model S electric start B. Spec. Number : No or CV means 69 engine model code 500 Variation of basic engine or alternatively CV730 model 0001 Variation Important: please inform us the Spec number when you send us your inquiry. C. Serial Number : This will help our staff to complete the identification of the part codes you require. Along with the Spec number and the Serial number, kindly also inform the build date that you can see on the label just below the serial number. Kohler utilizza due modi per indicare i propri modelli di motore (uno per i motori meno recenti, l altro per quelli di più recente fabbricazione). Sulla targhetta, quindi, troverete queste informazioni: Modello tipo (Model No.) CV25S OPPURE CV730S (nuova denominazione) Numero di versione (Spec) OPPURE CV Matricola motore (Serial Number) La sigla del modello motore vi darà alcune informazioni su questa unità: Modello tipo CV25S o CV730S significa Command Verticale 25 HP S avviamento elettrico Command Verticale 730 Denominaz. S Avviamento elettrico

No o CV Codice indicativo del modello & 500 Variante CV730 Modello 0001 Variante E importante che indichiate al nostro personale il numero di versione al momento di inviare la vostra richiesta. La matricola, per esempio , servirà ai nostri dipendenti per completare l identificazione del codice ricambio da voi richiesto. Oltre al numero di versione e alla matricola, informate per cortesia anche la data di produzione ( build date ), che troverete nell etichetta motore, subito sotto alla matricola. ENGINE SYMBOLS As we have seen earlier, there are a number of symbols used by Kohler in the engine model for better identification. Below is a list of these symbols: P Pumping units G Generating sets A Special oil sump C Clutch H Without fuel tank S Electric start T Recoil start R Gear reduction ST Electric and recoil start SIGLE MOTORI Come abbiamo visto in precedenza, esistono diverse sigle usate da Kohler nel modello motore per consentire una miglior identificazione del motore. 5 PART 2 - ON LINE PARTS CATALOGUE / PARTE 2 CATALOGO RICAMBI ON-LINE Kohler parts documentation is entirely on Internet and only in English language. Digit website to access the main page. Then click on Enter as a Guest (Picture 1). La documentazione ricambi Kohler è interamente su internet e solo in lingua inglese. Digitate il sito per accedere alla pagina principale. 6 You will now see the parts catalogues of the full range of Kohler engines (Picture 2). Avrete ora a disposizione i cataloghi ricambi dell intera gamma motori Kohler (figura 2). Picture / Figura 2

7 Click the engine group you wish to examine (in this case we have chosen Command PRO CS Picture 3). Selezionate la famiglia di motore prescelta (in questo caso nella figura 3, abbiamo scelto Command PRO CS). Picture / Figura 3

8 Now click on the engine you wish to view (Picture 4). Ed ora ciccate sul nome del motore per il quale desiderate visualizzare il catalogo (figura 4). Picture / Figura 4

9 Click on the engine version/specification you wish to view (Picture 5). Selezionate ora la versione per la quale volete consultare il catalogo (figura 5). Picture / Figura 5

10 Click on the specific descriptions to open relative parts tables (Picture 6). Scegliete infine la tavola ricambi da visualizzare: cliccando sopra la descrizione, si aprirà la tavola richiesta (figura 6). Picture / Figura 6

11 Click on the code you need, the line and corresponding figure on the table will be highlighted (picture 7). Cliccando su un codice, si evidenzierà la riga selezionata ed il corrispettivo riferimento sulla tavola (figura 7). Picture / Figura 7

12 Immediately after, a window with further information about the code will appear (Picture 8). Immediatamente dopo, si aprirà una finestra contenente ulteriori informazioni sul codice selezionato (figura 8). Picture / Figura 8

13 If you click on where used you can see on which engine specifications/versions your code is fitted (Picture 9 and 10). Se cliccate su where used, avrete la possibilità di vedere su quali versioni questo codice è montato (figure 9 e 10). Picture / Figura 9

15 Some codes are highlighted in red (picture 11). These codes have been subjected to code modifications, so please click on this code in order to check the code modification (picture 12). Alcuni codici sono evidenziati in rosso (figura 11). Si tratta di codici che hanno subito modifiche di codice, per cui vi invitiamo a cliccare su questo codice per visualizzare la variazione del codice (figura 12). Picture / Figura 11.

17 All parts tables can be printed. Tutte le tavole ricambi sono stampabili. For every engine model there is an Owner s Manual and a Service Manual available which can be downloaded with Acrobat in.pdf format (Picture 13). Per ogni modello motore, Kohler vi mette a disposizione il manuale utente ed il manuale assistenza (figura 13), che potete scaricare come file in formato Acrobat (.pdf). Figura / Picture 13

18 PART 3 - TYPES OF ORDERS / PARTE 3 TIPOLOGIA ORDINI Even Kohler parts can be ordered as : Normal/stock, emergency and warranty orders. Means of despatch and lead times remain the same as for Lombardini- brand parts orders. You may send orders by or internet (Partners area) to your usual contact in our Parts Dept. Anche i ricambi Kohler possono essere ordinati con tre tipi di ordini: Ordini normali/di stock, ordini in emergenza ed ordini in garanzia. Gli ordini mantengono le stesse caratteristiche in termini di modalità e tempi di consegna in base al tipo d ordine richiesto.
