1 NATIONAL SPORT SCHOOL ST CLARE COLLEGE HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION 2014/15 Mark Level FORM 1 ITALIAN TIME: 30 mins LISTENING COMPREHENSION TEST Teacher s Paper (20 punti) Please first read the instructions carefully by yourself and then read them aloud to the students, translating if and where necessary. Kindly also read out aloud, translating if necessary, the instructions on the Candidate s Paper, before each exercise. Prova A Nel giardino 7 punti You are allowed one minute to look carefully at the picture on your examination paper. (Allow 1 minute) You shall be listening to seven statements that refer to the picture on your examination paper. Some of these statements are true, but others are false. You are to mark with an X in the appropriate column. I shall read the seven statements one by one and then, after the first reading, I shall give you a minute to mark your answers. Afterwards, I shall read the statements a second and final time and you will have one minute for revision. You may take down short notes during both readings. Note to teachers: Please read the numbers of the statements very clearly in Italian. 1. Nell immagine ci sono sei persone. 2. Il numero della casa è Una ragazza saluta dalla finestra della sua camera. 4. Ci sono tre uccelli sul tetto della casa. 5. Un ragazzo osserva qualcosa da vicino con la lente. 6. C è un gatto bianco e nero nel giardino. 7. Tutti i bambini di questa famiglia sono biondi. Prova B Nazionalità 7 punti You are allowed one minute to look carefully at the pictures on your examination paper. (Allow one minute) You shall be listening to seven statements related to seven different persons. You have to write down the name of the person underneath the corresponding picture. The statements shall be read out to you with a short pause between each of them. The seven statements shall be read out to you twice. At the end you will have two minutes for final revision. You may take down short notes during both readings.

2 Be careful, because seven statements shall be read out and there are eight pictures on your examination paper. This means that one of the pictures has to remain without a name because no statement corresponds to it. 1. Adriana ha 19 anni e viene da Rio de Janiero. Come tante brasiliane lei ama la bandiera del suo paese. 2. Ha sempre una faccia allegra e servire i suoi clienti al ristorante è la sua passione. Ciro è un napoletano tipico. 3. Maria è una studentessa maltese. Le sue materie preferite sono l inglese e l italiano. 4. Il sabato sera Pierre va al centro di Parigi per bere un bicchiere di vino. 5. David vive a Londra, la capitale dell Inghilterra. Va in giro vestito elegante con cappello e bastone. 6. Ama lo sport ed è avventurosa. Anna abita a New York e va spesso al parco per giocare. 7. Thomas è tedesco, vive a Berlino. Ha tredici anni ed è un ragazzo biondo. Prova C In classe 6 punti You are allowed one minute to look carefully at the picture on your examination paper. (Allow one minute) You shall be listening to six statements related to speech taking place in the picture on your paper. All you have to do is to match the statements to the corresponding speech bubble on your examination paper. You are to write the number of each statement in the corresponding bubble. The statements shall be read out to you twice with a short pause between each of them. At the end you will have two minutes for final revision. You may take down short notes during both readings. Be careful, because six statements shall be read out and there are eight speech bubbles on your examination paper. This means that two of the speech bubbles have to remain without a number because no statement corresponds to them. 4 Prova B Nazionalità 7 punti Osserva bene le immagini e poi scrivi il nome della persona descritta. Attenzione: ci sono 8 (otto) immagini ma devi scrivere soltanto il nome di sette (7) persone. Una delle immagini è di troppo. I nomi sono: Adriana, Anna, Ciro, David, Maria, Pierre, Thomas.

5 Prova C In classe 6 punti Ascolta le frasi e scrivi il numero giusto nella nuvoletta vicino alla persona che pronuncia ogni frase. Attenzione: ci sono DUE nuvolette di troppo!
