DISPOSITIVO DI COMMUTAZIONE SWITCHING DEVICE Come ben risaputo, tutte le lampade a scarica in gas, richiedono, se calde, un tempo tecnico di raffreddamento prima di riaccendersi. Per le lampade a vapori di sodio alta pressione questo tempo e contenuto in 60 secondi, mentre per le lampade ad alogenuri metallici generalmente sono necessari tempi da 240 a 900 secondi. Inoltre, dal momento dell innesco al raggiungimento del flusso luminoso totale, sono richiesti ulteriori tempi di messa a regime della lampada. In installazioni dove diventa indispensabile avere un pronta visibilita ( comunque in presenza di rete ) si puo ovviare utilizzando dei sistemi di alimentazione con riaccensione a caldo. Questi sistemi sono generalmente utilizzati per potenze di lampade da 1000W e 2000W. Per le altre potenze l aggiunta di un SWITCHING DEVICE al cablaggio tradizionale, che commuta automaticamente una lampada aggiuntiva alogena di sostegno a 230V, diventa la soluzione ottimale. In ogni fase di accensione a freddo la lampada alogena si accende automaticamente in abbinamento alla lampada a scarica, e si spegne automaticamente quando la lampada principale raggiunge circa il 60% del flusso, migliorando l illuminamento. Nelle fasi di riaccensione a caldo, la lampada alogena si accende immediatamente, in attesa della riaccensione della lampada principale, e rimane tale fino al raggiungimento di circa il 60%. Everybody knows that all the HID lamps need, when hot, a technical time before restart. For the HPSV lamps this time is about 60 seconds while for the MH lamps this time is from 240 to 900 seconds.
