Ike collection design Victor Vasilev 06 La collezione Ike nasce da un ispirazione tutta orientale: Ike sta, infatti, per Ikebana. Affascinato dall antica arte dei maestri giapponesi, il designer Victor Vasilev ha creato uno sgabello che ripropone in maniera suggestiva il contrasto tipico di questa tecnica tra la libertà rigogliosa della natura e le forme essenziali e rigorose in cui è contenuta. Lo sgabello Ike ha come supporto un piatto d acciaio sormontato da un basamento semplice e razionale, dal quale escono profi li a sezione tonda che reggono la seduta a mo di rampicanti. L idea dello sgabello è poi stata allargata al tavolo ed alla sedia, mantenendo le linee pure e semplici del progetto iniziale. The IKE collection stems from an all-oriental inspiration: Ike, in fact, stands for Ikebana. Fascinated by the ancient art of the Japanese masters, the designer Victor Vasilev has created a stool which reintroduces an interesting contrast typical of this technique between the luxuriant freedom of nature and the essential and rigourous forms in which it is contained. The support of the Ike stool is a steel plate topped by a simple and rational base, from which round section profi les lead off to support the seat, like creepers. The idea of the stool has then been used in the form of a table and chair, maintaining the clean and understated lines of the initial project.
