Digital automatic instrument to measure the fibre length distribution on cotton fibre, suitable for a variety of different fibres both natural or man made prepared with the special Fibre Comb Sampler (included). The Classifiber KCF/W model is particularly suitable also for measuring Cashmere fibre length or any other similar luxury fibre up to 80 mm length. Main technical features - Using the stabilized optical system with uniform linear light source makes the results free from light variation and the complicated calibration of the instrument is not required. - Accuracy 1 mm: the 1 mm width sensor assures very accurate reading of the fibre length. - Easy and uniform sample preparation by using the sampler with the horizontal carding method rejects the bias among operators. - The Classifiber has an excellent correlation with manual testing, some main advantages: - Much faster: to perform a complete test it takes about 20 seconds, for a manual test it takes about 30 minutes. - Statistically more reliable: uses a sample of 20 grams, manual method only 0.5 gram. - All data obtained are saved in the database together with the information on fibres, suppliers, lot number, etc. and statistical data of each group within a certain period of time can be easily recalled.
