UNIQA technology The UNIQA exclusive surfacing technology, allows more complex curves to be made and, thus, optimises the thickness of the UNIQA lens to an unprecedented level compared to the standard FreeForm lenses. Taking into account the chosen frame, this technology allows us to obtain the optimal thickness required. The UNIQA lenses are on average 62% thinner at the edge compared to the standard FreeForm progressive lenses and 20% thinner in the centre (the thickness at the edge is compared to the positive lenses). Moreover, we are able to vertically balance the thickness of the edge according to the shape with thorough precision, guaranteeing that the UNIQA lens has balanced thickness, making it a superior lens.
