The program is very well structured, lectures have been truly engaging, and the professors were very well prepared. The other students came from all over the world and, despite the hard work and all the efforts that we had to make to accomplish our goals, we also had chances to meet outside the classes and to establish wonderful and lasting relationships. Both the Bocconi and Queen's International Centers have been very useful and ready to assist me in every step of the process. All these elements combined resulted in an international, challenging, engaging and supportive environment that will certainly make the difference in my personal and professional life. Indica quali sono state le principali differenze con il sistema accademico Bocconi (rapporto con i docenti, qualità della didattica, procedure amministrative, qualità delle informazioni)/ Please list the main differences with Bocconi s academic system (relation with the professors, teaching quality, administrative procedures, quality of information). Classes are smaller (no more than 40 students each) and this led to a more partecipative learning environment. We get to know each other very well and we also establish closer relations with the Professors, who are usually more approachable and less formal than Italian ones. They put a lot of importance in developing our public presentation skills, and every presentation was carefully graded and given feedback about. The class participation always counts for at least the 25% of the final grade, and Professors are really paying attention to our level of engagement in the class, looking to the quality of our interventions and not only to their quantity. There were no final exams: the final grades resulted from a mix of class participation, personal and group papers. This meant that the workload was distributed evenly throughout the semester. This DD Program didn't require to have both a Bocconi and a Queen's supervisor for the thesis. I focused on my Thesis only after the semester of studies at Queen's, and I am in contact primarily with my Bocconi supervisor. However several Professor that I had at Queen's have been absolutely crucial in helping me finding interesting articles and papers about my thesis' topic. For sure, the intensity of the program, makes it difficult (not impossible) to be done with the Bocconi Thesis by the first round in July, but this also depends on how each person manages his/her time and the compulsory internship period.

I have been frequently in touch with the representatives of the International Students Office, who were always very kind and helpful. I also attended several events organized by the same office (for free or for a small, reduced price) such as lunches and dinners, hockey games, and trips to other Canadian cities. I didn't need to attend any language course, so I don't even know if the University gave this opportunity or not. Quali corsi hai trovato più interessanti e quali eventualmente hanno presentato problemi?/ Which courses did you find as the most interesting and which ones have shown critical aspects? The first part of the Semester consisted in three compulsory courses: Business in the Global Economy, Global Strategy, and Cross Cultural Leadership. They were actually basic courses about the International Business foundations, but each topic has been presented by the Professors in a truly engaging way and with a mastery that I rarely experienced. The interesting part of this first round of courses has been the final integrative case, where, in teams, we had to analyze a business case applying all the concepts of the three Courses. In the second part of the semester, we had to choose up to three more optional courses. I attended Products for Global Markets, Global Operations, and Negotiations. Again, all of them were very interesting. To me Negotiations has been the most interesting one given that its contents were absolutely new to me and combined economic/managerial issues with psychological and ethical ones. Queen's offers some housing opportunities in their residences. The application should be submitted early in the year because they proceed following a first in first served base. I personally found an offcampus accommodation with the other MM students. On average, the price for a single room not too far from the university is between $400-$600, including fees and bills. It's possible to find a private accommodation before going there, through internet, and the University also has a list of trusted renters that you should check out. Urban public transportation was free holding a Queen's student card. Trains to other cities are pretty expensive, it's more convenient to take a bus or to rent a car when doing long-distance, group trips. The health insurance is compulsory (the University provides it) and for the 4 months of my stay in Kingston it cost around $300. Groceries and other meals are on average as expensive as in Italy, it always depends on the kind of things that you'd like to eat and to buy. Have you already completed an internship? YES Se sì, dove? If yes, for which company, institution?'i found my Internship thanks to the Bocconi Career Service. It lasted 4 months, in a non-profit theatre in New York City

Ottimo sviluppo delle capacita' di problem solving grazie ai numerosissimi business cases da risolvere. Professori, direttore del corso e dipendente amministrativo e degli uffici internazionali molto disponibili, uffici aperti tutto il giorno per fornire aiuto e supporto agli studenti. Alta percentuale di studenti internazionali, apertura verso qualunque cultura. Il MIB e' un programma composto da "soli" 100 studenti, ci si conosce tutti e sono organizzati molti eventi (gite, cene, ecc) per tutto il programma - Difficolta' nel trovare un alloggio, scarsa informazione da parte dell'universita' Bocconi sulle possibilita' disponibili. Insegnanti molto preparati, amichevoli e disponibili anche al di fuori del contesto universitario - focus su business cases e su sviluppo di capacita' di problem solving, minor focus su teoria - pochi esami teorici (un insegnamento sui nove disponibili aveva un esame finale che valeva il 50% del voto finale) - preparazione giornaliera necessaria: lettura di articoli e ricerche e discussione in classe. I professori invitano gli studenti a citare le stesse opere nei paper finali (che di solito sostituiscono gli esami finali), e questo e' un ottimo esercizio in vista della stesura del lavoro finale di tesi - partecipazione attiva in classe fondamentale: stare attenti, porre domande o rispondere ai quesiti dei professori. Ottimo per imparare a parlare in pubblico e vincere la timidezza - molti lavori di gruppo con presentazione finale in classe Tesi di laurea: descrivi come hai gestito il rapporto con i docenti italiani e stranieri e le tempistiche di svolgimento del lavoro/thesis: please describe how you have managed the relationship with Italian and foreign professors and the timing for completing the work. Due tesi distinte: la tesi italiana e' stata gestita come in triennale, andando a ricevimento o contattando la professoressa tramite o skype durante il periodo all'estero e in stage. La tesi canadese prevede un lavoro di gruppo virtuale di advisory per un'azienda/cliente: contatti con il professore, l'advisor, il cliente ed i compagni avvenuto tramite , skype e social network (linkedin, facebook) Hai usufruito dei servizi dell Università Partner (servizi ad hoc per studenti stranieri, career service )? / Have you used the services at the Partner University ( ad hoc services for foreign students, career service )?

4 Career service: la prima settimana di settembre l'universita' invita ad alcuni convegni organizzati dal career service ufficio internazionale: organizzazione gite alle niagara falls, ad ottawa, ecc. cene culturali, organizzazione festa di natale e cena di thanksgiving. possibilita' di cucinare tutti insieme nella cucina accanto agli uffici internazionali in modo da scambiare le proprie opinioni ed esperienze con altri studenti internazionali. L'università partner ti ha dato la possibilità di sostenere un corso di lingua? Se si, quale?/did you have the opportunity to attend a language course at the Partner University? If yes, which one? I corsi di lingua erano numerosissimi, ma non ne ho usufruito. Corsi/Courses Quali corsi hai seguito all Universita partner?/which courses have you followed at the Partner University? Quali corsi hai trovato più interessanti e quali eventualmente hanno presentato problemi?/ Which courses did you find as the most interesting and which ones have shown critical aspects? Operations e' un ottimo corso: e' molto impegnativo, gli argomenti sono interessanti e i case studies perfezionano le skills di problem solving tanto ricercate nel mondo del lavoro. Negotiations sviluppa soprattutto le doti relazionali, di comunicazione e negoziazione. Vi sono articoli da leggere e compitini da consegnare all'inizio e al termine di ogni classe che, sebbene semplici da compilare, portano via tempo allo studio degli altri corsi. Il corso e' utile e perche' ogni lezione prevede delle sessioni di negoziazione con i propri compagni. Queste negoziazioni sono molto divertenti e di certo aiutano i piu' timidi o restii a parlare, il che e' ottimo per il futuro lavorativo! Product design ricorda, seppur minimamente, il corso di marketing del primo anno "Product innovation & Market Creation". I corsi obbligatori (leadership across cultures, international strutegy e international economy) sono molto interessanti. Accommodation: spiega le opzioni di alloggio possibili (appartamento privato, Pensionato/residenza universitaria, etc.), come hai trovato l alloggio, i costi indicativi ed eventuali consigli/accomodation : please explain the various housing options (private apartment, University Dormitory), how you found the accomodation, costs and suggestions. Sono disponibili apt. privati, la residenza universitaria e le cooperative. Ho trovato l'alloggio tramite l'ufficio relazioni internazionali in Canada una volta partita. Consiglio vivamente di trovare alloggio prima di partie dall'italia, perche' a settembre le possibilita' rimaste non sono sempre convenienti. Costo della vita: costi indicativi di viaggio, trasporti in città, pasti, assicurazione ecc./living costs: indicative costs for flight tickets, local transports, meals, travel insurance Viaggio, se prenotate in anticipo potete trovare il volo a/r per 600e circa trasporti in citta' gratuiti con il badge universitario, assicurazione: circa 300$ per un semestre, pasti: in linea con l'italia, forse un po' piu' cari

The program structure is simple, yet complicated. On the one hand, the positive point is that the required courses for Double Degree diploma last only one semester. At the same time, there is an opportunity to continue studying in the second semester and take the exchange semester program studying with a Full-Time MBA professionals. This program development option allows to study and learn more in the different academic environment. The one-year project for Queen's is not that difficult as writing a master thesis, but in the team that is disperses all over the world sometimes it is difficult to organize the work. Relations with professors are quite positive. They are always open and ready to help after class or via or during office hours. The main difference is that the program main strength is to study and solve a lot of business case and apply for them different problem-solving problems. Written exams might take place, but very rare. Normally the final grade is based on 50% individual work and 50% as a team work, therefore team building activities are crucial for success. All the study materials are printed by Business School for fee, books are not considered as a main part of study process. Grade distribution system doesn't affect students. It was not difficult to manage relationships with two university professors, since Queen's does not require to defend Bocconi master thesis, therefore I communicated with Bocconi professor only and ask for some assistance and advice from Queen's marketing professors upon reference literature, etc. Hai usufruito dei servizi dell Università Partner (servizi ad hoc per studenti stranieri, career service )? / Have you used the services at the Partner University ( ad hoc services for foreign students, career service )? I have used Career service of the partner University, since it has career counsellors and university database with job postings. At the same time, I can't say that I am completely satisfied with their assistance.

'The program structure is very unique and time slots for classes are quite different from those that language courses have, so that I didn't have an opportunity to attend any foreign language courses. I attended required courses which were sometimes not that interesting and even boring, since some concepts were similar to Bocconi study plan courses of the first year, but some of them were quite interesting to analyse International area of expertise and North American perspective. There is University residence that are available for accommodation, which are quite expensive ($3,000 per semester) and are not that good as in Bocconi! It is possible to rent a room or apartment for a decent price ( $) per month. As an alternative it is possible to live in the house with a landlord, the price should be around $ University always publish different housing options for students, so that it is quite secure to rent a room through university even before coming to University.
