L angolo di scarico deve essere misurato con uno spessore da 0,20 mm, avente larghezza 5 mm. (come disegno di fianco) The exhaust angular reading must be measured with a 0,20 mm thick and 5 mm wide wedge. (see drawing beside). Far smontare il motore dal telaio Attendere che sia a temperatura ambiente PROCEDURA PER LA VERIFICA DELLA CUBATURA Fare smontare la testata per verificare la sporgenza della candela all interno della cupola della camera di combustione Fare smontare la candela ( verificare la quota del 18,5mm) Avvitare L INSERTO al posto della candela ( L inserto stretto sulla testata, non dovrà oltrepassare la parte superiore della camera di combustione. Esso dovrà essere fissato sulla testata nello stesso ed identico modo come era fissata la candela di 18,5mm) Rendere stagno con l aiuto di grasso la parte superiore del pistone e la periferica del cilindro Mettere il pistone a punto morto superiore e bloccare l albero motore Asciugare accuratamente l eccedenza di grasso Assicurarsi che il motore sia in piano Fare rimontare la testata e stringerla alla coppia di serraggio definita dal Costruttore Con una buretta di laboratorio graduata ( meccanica o elettronica) riempire la camera di combustione ( con una miscela del 50% di olio utilizzato per fare la miscela e il 50% di carburante) fino a quando il liquido rasenta il bordo superiore dell inserto Il volume allora misurato dovrà corrispondere al volume minimo della camera di combustione indicato nella scheda di identificazione del motore stesso PROCEDURE USED TO MEASURE THE VOLUME OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER Disassemble the engine from the chassis Wait until the temperature is ambient temperature Disassemble the cylinder head in order to verify the projection of the sparking plug inside the combustion chambre. Disassemble the sparking plug ( verify the height of 18,5mm) Screw the INSERT at the place of the sparking plug (The insert on the cylinder head has not to overpass the superior part of the combustion chamber. It has to be fixed on the cylinder head in the same way the sparking plug of 18,5mm was fixed) Make it air tight and water tight with grease the upper part of the piston and the cylinder device Raise up the piston and stop the crankshaft Dry up the excess of grease Be sure that the engine is on a flat surface Move up the cylinder head and tighten it to clamping forces defined by the manufacturer. Fill up the combustion chamber (with a mixture composed by 50% of the oil used to make the mixture and the 50% of the fuel) using a graduated burette (mechanical or electrical) until the upper border of the insert. The measured volume must show a value which is complying with the minimum combustion chamber volume set on the engine identification sheet concerned. - pag. 7 - www.vortex-rok.com

POMPA BENZINA DELL ORTO, cod. 11023 DELL ORTO FUEL PUMP, code 11023 a. Tutti i sistemi meccanici, manuali, elettronici ed ogni altro tipo di sistema forzato, sono vietati. E ammesso come solo ed unico sistema per l alimentazione, la pressione atmosferica. Ciò significa che è possibile utilizzare 1 (una) pompetta d alimentazione di tipo pneumatico tra serbatoio e carburatore: Tale pompetta deve restare strettamente ORIGINALE. b. Vietato montare qualsiasi tipo di rubinetto, raccordo calibrato ed altro dispositivo tra alimentazione e ritorno/recupero, sui tubi del carburante. c. E ammesso l impiego dei soli tubi. E consentito l utilizzo di un raccordo in plastica a Y installato fra la pompa benzina e il carburatore per facilitare il ritorno di benzina al serbatoio. Il raccordo a Y deve avere lo stesso diametro nelle 3 uscite. d. Tra serbatoio, pompa benzina e carburatore è consentito montare 1 (uno) solo filtro carburante. a. Any mechanical, manual or electronic system as well as any other kind of device is forbidden. Concerning the fuel supply, the only system admitted includes atmospheric pressure. It means that it is allowed to employ 1 (one) pneumatic fuel pump, located between tank and carburettor: the pump must always be ORIGINAL. b. It is forbidden to employ any other kind of spigot, calibrated junction or similar devices between the supply and the return/collection, on the fuel pipes. c. It is admitted to employ pipes only. A plastic Y can be installed in the fuel line between the fuel pump and fuel inlet to the carburetor to facilitate the installation of a return line to the fuel tank. The Y must have the same inside diameters for all 3 connections. d. Between tank and fuel pump it is allowed to mount only 1 (one) fuel filter. - pag. 19 www.vortex-rok.com

2018 APENDIX ROK SHIFTER 1. Fuel System: a. All fuel system components must be utilized as supplied. b. No additional components are permitted. c. Any fuel filter, if utilized, must be placed between the fuel tank and the original fuel pump. d. Vent tubes are optional, but fittings must remain in carburetor. e. Fuel Pump must be mounted to the engine. f. A plastic Y can be installed in the fuel line between the fuel pump and fuel inlet to the carburetor to facilitate the installation of a return line to the fuel tank. The Y must have the same inside diameters for all 3 connections. 2. Carburetor: a. Dell Orto VHSH 30 b. The only allowed changes to the Dell Orto VHSH 30 carburetor are main jet, float height, air screw and needle clip position. Any other change or modification is not allowed. c. Carburetor airbox clamps must be used as supplied. d. All original parts must be in the carburetor and remain stock. e. All jets must be original Dell Orto jets. f. Stamped numbers on parts DO NOT guarantee the accuracy of the part. All parts MUST be within MINIMUM and MAXIMUM tolerance checked by gauges. g. i. - Needle: K98 ii. - Outer pilot: #60 iii. - Inner pilot: B45 (B46/47/48/49/50 also allowed) iv. - Emulsion tube: ONLY DQ268 v. - Floats: 4gm vi. - Maximum venturi size: 30mm vii. - 250 or 300 needle seat 3. Air box a. ROK Foam air filter insert is optional. b. Air box must not contain any additional holes. c. No external form of air ducts forcing air inside of air box is permitted. d. Air box must be secured completely after each track event otherwise last place position is given. e. Plastic protection under rain conditions is allowed. 4. Cylinder Head CC. Volume: a. Minimum squish is 1.15. Measured with 2mm Solder b. Assembled 13.00cc with the CIK tool using 50% oil and 50% fuel. 5. Coil: a. Must be mounted as supplied. b. Must be mounted to the engine. c. Must use coil wire as supplied.
6. Spark plug: a. Only the following plugs allowed: i. NGK B8EG, NGK B9EG, NGK B10EG ii. Must be original and no modification is allowed. b. Spark plug washer or head temperature gauge sender must be in place. c. Spark Plug Cap must be as supplied. d. 7. Exhaust Pipe: a. No treatment of any kind. b. No sand blasting is allowed. c. No form of thermo wrapping is allowed. d. Internal dimensions may not be altered because of rust. e. No modifications to silencer end cap. f. No major likings. g. Exhaust temperature sensor: i. One exhaust temperature sensor is allowed. ii. One hole only can be drilled on the exhaust pipe for sensor. iii. No specific location is required for the exhaust temperature sensor. iv. Any hole not being used must be completely plugged if exhaust sensor is not being used. 8. Exhaust Silencer: a. No treatment of any kind. b. No sand blasting is allowed. c. No form of thermo wrapping is allowed. d. Internal dimensions may not be altered because of rust. e. Cannot be cracked or leaking. 9. Ignition Timing: a. Standard (1,5mm.) +/- 1 mm. 10. Treatment: a. No treatments or paint may be done to any parts including engine and exhaust components. b. Inspectors are allowed to paint any engine component for technical purpose. c. Only decals as supplied with engines are allowed. No other kind of decals are allowed. 11. External Modifications: a. Any modification not clearly described inside this document is not to be taken as legally acceptable. b. 12. Radiator: a. Must be original as supplied. i. Minor welding is allowed to cover up small holes. ii. Additional metal mounting brackets may be used to secure Radiator. b. Water hoses: i. Must be original as supplied. ii. It is not mandatory to use thermostat but if used must be OTK W866. iii. If not using thermostat, only allowed split is for a water temperature sensor. iv. No form of heat exchange is allowed on the water hoses.
v. No form of water heater or engine heater is allowed. vi. No Glucose based fluids are allowed. 13. Engine Mount: a. The engine mount for the shifter does not have to be as supplied, but it must be of similar dimensions, construction, and material as the supplied motor mount 14. Reeds a. ONLY Vortex supplied reeds allowed and must be assembled as per Fiche. NO AFTERMARKET REEDS ARE ALLOWED. 16. Fuel and Oil a. Spec racing fuel for all Rok Categories is Sunoco 110 STANDARD. b. Spec racing oil is Silkolene KR2. Mix Ratio 20:1 is recommended. c. No other oil or additives are allowed. 17. Engine Eligibility a. ASN license holders must use Engines with a Canadian ROK serial number and must contain a Canadian cylinder with a ROK Canada approved logged Tag. b. International drivers may use non-canadian engines provided they comply with the technical regulations. c. All Cylinder tags must match the original cylinder batch codes as provided by ROK Canada d. Any Fraudulent cylinder tags will result in permanent exclusion. e. Any worn out cylinder tags must be replaced by Rok Cup Canada Officials, any broken tags will result in ineligibility of cylinder. f. Engine eligibility list will be available on-line and from tech director.
