Vi ringraziamo per avere scelto un monoblocco Stûv. Questo monoblocco è stato ideato per offrirvi il massimo in materia di comfort e sicurezza. Vi consigliamo perciò : - di farlo installare (e controllare) da un tecnico specializzato, - di leggere attentamente questo manuale e seguire attentamente le istruzioni per la manutenzione, - di rispedirci il certificato di garanzia debitamente compilato menzionando il numero di serie visibile sulla parte frontale in alto a destra (foto 2), - di far pulire regolarmente la canna fumaria (una volta all anno se utilizzato regolarmente) per ottimizzare il funzionamento e aumentare la sicurezza. Precauzioni - La vernice non è stata sottoposta a trattamenti di cottura, per cui inizialmente sarà un po delicata, ma indurirà nel corso delle prime accensioni. Per questo motivo, vi invitiamo a maneggiare il monoblocco con la massima precauzione durante l installazione. Pulire con un panno asciutto. - Una bomboletta spray fornita in dotazione con il monoblocco consente di effettuare eventuali ritocchi. - Quando si accende il fuoco nel monoblocco per la prima volta, si possono sprigionare fumi e odori. Precautions - The paint is not oven-baked and it is therefore relatively fragile but will harden when it is heated for the first few times. Consequently, take care when handling the appliance when it is being fitted. Clean with a dry cloth. - A paint spray supplied with the appliance allows you to touch up the paintwork, if necessary. - When lighting the fire for the first time, some unpleasant smoke or smells may be released. Ventilate with a plentiful supply of air. I combustibili Che tipo di legna scegliere? I diversi tipi di legno possiedono poteri calorifici diversi e non bruciano tutti nello stesso modo. In generale, è preferibile scegliere il legno duro, come la quercia, il faggio, il frassino, il carpine, gli alberi da frutto ; producono infatti una bella fiamma e molta brace che resta a lungo incandescente. Essiccamento Qualunque sia il legno scelto, questo deve essere ben secco, poiché la legna umida riscalda molto meno. Infatti gran parte dell energia viene utilizzata unicamente per evaporare l acqua in essa contenuta. L alburno ovvero il legno Fuel Which wood should you choose? Different species of wood have different heat capacities and they do not all burn in the same way. Generally speaking, you should opt for hard wood such as oak, beech, ash, hornbeam or fruit trees. They provide lovely flames and a lot of embers which will glow for a long, long time. Drying Whatever wood you choose to use, it must be really dry. Damp wood heats a great deal less: a best part of energy is only used to evaporate the water that it contains. Il faggio Altamente consigliato come legna da ardere. Possiede un potere calorifico elevato, secca rapidamente ed è facilmente reperibile. Deve essere tenuto al riparo subito dopo essere stato spaccato, altrimenti marcisce rapidamente perdendo potere calorifico (foto 3). La quercia È un eccellente combustibile ma, a differenza degli altri tipi di legno, deve restare allo scoperto per due anni affinché la pioggia elimini il tannino che contiene, quindi andrà messo al riparo per un anno o due prima di bruciarlo. Nei rami piccoli, la quantità di alburno (che brucia rapidamente) è assai elevata (foto 4). Il carpine (foto 5), il frassino e gli alberi da frutto Sono ottimi combustibili ma piuttosto rari. Foto 6 : ciliegio selvatico. La betulla È un albero latifoglio dal legno tenero. Ha un potere calorifico molto elevato ma brucia rapidamente. Si utilizza in genere per accendere il fuoco o riattizzare la fiamma. Gli altri alberi latifogli dal legno tenero Il tiglio, il salice, il castagno e il pioppo bruciano male e riscaldano poco (foto 7). Gli alberi resinosi Sviluppano molto calore ma si consumano rapidamente. Inoltre producono molti residui che sporcano la canna fumaria. Sono da evitare. 3 4 5 6 Furthermore, moist wood releases a lot of smoke and not many flames and it causes the fireplace, its window and the chimney to get dirty and soot up. Hornbeam (photo 5), ash, fruit trees Excellent fuel, but rare. Photo 6 : wild cherry tree. Birch Birch is a softwood from a broadleaved tree. It has a high heat capacity but burns quickly. It should be used for starting (or restarting) the fire (photo 7). Other soft broad-leaved trees The lime tree, willow, chestnut tree and poplar do not burn well and give off little warmth. 3
I monoblocchi Stûv sono progettati per uso domestico. Non utilizzare per bruciare rifiuti. Conifers Conifers give off a lot of heat but they burn quickly. They sputter embers and the resins they contain foul up the chimney. They should be avoided. Stûv fireplaces are designed for domestic use, in all events not to incinerate waste, whatever it may be. 7 Istruzioni per l uso Directions for use Accensione Innanzitutto accendere il fuoco con carta o piccoli pezzetti di legno. Aprire il registro al massimo e lasciare il vetro sollevato (i 2 vetri per i modelli bifacciali) alcuni centimetri (foto 8) per evitare il depositarsi di condensa e fuliggine. Quando la fiamma è ben avviata, caricare legna sempre più grossa fino a quando i ceppi non prendono fuoco. Richiudere il vetro quando raggiunge una temperatura sufficiente. Cercare di ottenere un fuoco molto attivo per favorire un buon tiraggio e quindi regolare il registro (foto 8) per ottenere il funzionamento desiderato. Lighting First of all, set balls of paper and kindling on fire. Funzionamento con vetro aperto Attenzione : Con un modello bifacciale, aprire un solo vetro alla volta! - Lo Stûv 21 consuma meno combustibile a vetro chiuso. - È comunque studiato per funzionare anche a vetro aperto. - Non lasciare il monoblocco incustodito durante il funzionamento a vetro aperto. - Attenzione alle scintille delle braci : evitare la legna resinosa. - Certi modelli non consentono il funzionamento con il vetro completamente sollevato. - + 8 9 Reloading with fuel Slightly raise the window for a few moments (both windows for a doublefaced stove) to assist smoke evacuation from the combustion chamber (photo 9). In questo caso, il vetro arriva a fine corsa a circa 2/3 dell altezza del focolare. Non forzare. - Negli altri casi, si può scegliere fra un funzionamento con il vetro completamente sollevato o con il vetro sollevato fino ad una posizione intermedia (a circa 2/3 della corsa) foto 10. In questa posizione (ben visibile) le guarnizioni impediscono ai fumi di fuoriuscire. Evitare qualsiasi altra posizione intermedia : i fumi potrebbero fuoriuscire. Nota È normale avere l impressione di frenata quando si solleva il vetro fino alla posizione intermedia. Regolazione della combustione - Il registro d aria primaria (foto 8) permette di regolare la combustione. Aprirlo al massimo durante l accensione, poi regolarlo nella posizione desiderata. - Sullo Stûv 21, un altra regolazione permette di regolare l entrata minima di aria (quando il registro d aria primaria è regolato al minimo). Questa regolazione (registro d aria secondaria) viene normalmente effettuata dall installatore (a metà corsa), ma può essere modificata per ottimizzare il rendimento del focolare. Deve comunque essere effettuata a freddo. Procedere per piccole modifiche successive! Per accedervi, aprire la porta ; il cursore di regolazione si trova accanto al registro (foto 12). Se il vetro tende a sporcarsi quando il monoblocco funziona al minimo, aumentare l entrata minima d aria fresca spostando il cursore verso destra. Se la fiamma non si abbassa al minimo, ridurre l entrata d aria fresca (verso sinistra). Richiudendo la porta, tenere il vetro abbassato (foto 13). Presa d aria ll vostro Stûv ha bisogno d aria per la combustione ; occorre una derivazione d aria fresca (sezione minima 1 dm² per gli Stûv 21/45, 21/65C, 21/65H, 21/75, 21/85 e 21/105 monofacciali e 2 dm² per gli Stûv 21/95 e 21/125 monofacciali e tutti i modelli bifacciali) proveniente da un locale ventilato o dall esterno. Quando il monoblocco non è in funzione, chiudere questa presa d aria per evitare di raffreddare il locale. Aprire questa presa d aria quando il focolare viene utilizzato con il vetro aperto. - + 10 11 12 13 In this case, the window can be raised to 2/3 of the height of the fireplace. This (secondary air) damper is usually adjusted by the installer (while the fireplace is in operation) ; it can be fine-tuned to optimise your fireplace's output. This adjustment should be made when the fireplace is cold. You should make successive minor modifications. To access the control tilt the door : the control is next to the damper (photo 12) If the window tends to soot up when the fireplace is operating at a slow rate, increase the minimum fresh air entry by moving the cursor to the right. If the fire is too lively when the fireplace is set to slow, reduce the fresh air entry (shift cursor to the left). The cursor should be moved slowly and gradually! While closing the door, window should be kept lowered (photo 13). Fresh air inlet Your Stûv needs air for burning. It needs a supply of fresh air (minimum section of 1 dm² for the Stûv 21/45, 21/65C, 21/65H, 21/75, 21/85 and 21/105 single-sided, and of 2 dm² for the Stûv 21/95 and 21/125 singlesided and for the all the double-sided) from a ventilated room or from outside. Close this air inlet when the fireplace is not being used to avoid letting your house get cold. Open this air inlet when you are using the fireplace in the open fire position. 5
Rimozione della cenere Lasciare sul fondo del monoblocco un letto di cenere per favorire la combustione e mantenere la brace più a lungo. Togliere l eccesso di cenere quando vi è il rischio di otturare l alimentazione di aria fresca (foto 14). Attendere che la cenere si raffreddi (utilizzare una paletta o un bidone aspiratutto ash-clean) e lasciarla per un certo tempo all esterno, in un secchio metallico fino a raffreddamento completo. Attenzione Non attendere che la cenere fuoriesca dal focolare. - Vi è il rischio di ostruire la presa d aria per la combustione. - La cenere ardente rischia di danneggiare la guarnizione inferiore del vetro. La garanzia non copre questo tipo di danno. 14 Removal of ashes Leave a bed of ashes at the bottom of the fireplace since it encourages combustion and still contains some fuel. Remove the excess ashes when there is a risk of cutting off the supply of fresh air to the fire (photo 14). Wait for the ashes to cool (use a shovel or a vacuum-cleaner for ashes) and store them outdoors in a metal bucket until completely cold. Warning Excessive ash content level is a hazard : - It can clog combustion air intake. - It can damage pane lower seal. Warranty does not cover such damage! Pulizia Prima di procedere alla pulizia, attendere il raffreddamento completo del monoblocco. Attenzione : la porta si apre solo con il vetro abbassato! Con la maniglia "mano fredda", aprira l antina a ribalta (non superare 90 ), Non sbloccare la maniglia "mano fredda" per evitare che il vetro scorra sulle guide. Per pulire la parte interna del vetro (foto 15 e 16) : - Utilizzare un prodotto detergente specifico per la pulizia di vetri di stufe e caminetti (proteggere le parti verniciate, il pavimento, ecc.), - Asciugare bene il vetro poiché i residui di grasso stabilizzano i fumi. Richiudendo la porta, tenere il vetro abbassato (foto 13). Non dimenticare, una volta all anno di : - Pulire la canna fumaria (vedi pag. 7). - Verificare lo stato delle guarnizioni (foto 16 : guarnizione in tessuto sul profilo della porta e guarnizione inferiore in silicone). - Aprire l antina a ribalta e aspirare la cenere che si trova nella zona del registro (foto 17). 15 16 Cleaning Before starting to clean, allow to cool down completely. Note : the door cannot tilt unless the window is lowered! Using the cold handgrip, tilt the door (not more than 90 C), leave the cold handgrip engaged to avoid that the window does not slide on its runners. To clean the inside surface of the window (photo 15 and 16) : - Use a cleaning product for ovens (while protecting painted surfaces, floor-coverings, etc.). - Wipe clean to remove residue. - Finish, if necessary, with a window cleaning product. While closing the door, window should be kept lowered (photo 13). Don't forget, once a year, to : - Sweep your chimney (see page 7) - Check the condition of the seals photo 16 (fabric seal on the door surround, and lower seal in silicone). - Tilt the door and vacuum any ash in the damper area (photo 17) 6
Lubrificazione delle guide : Attenzione : attendere che il fuoco sia completamente spento! Aprire completamente la porta. Sostenere la porta con un supporto (foto 18). Staccare i cavi della porta (foto 19). Fissarli in modalità «attesa» (foto 20). Far scorrere il vetro fino in fondo per accedere alle guide (foto 21). Utilizzare un lubrificante per alte temperature. Lubrificare i 2 carrelli visibili quando la porta è aperta (foto 21). Sollevare la porta e il telaio sorreggendo la parte scorrevole e lubrificare gli altri 2 carrelli (foto 22). Rimettere l insieme in posizione orizzontale, far scorrere il vetro e il telaio, quindi richiudere la porta. Pulizia della canna fumaria Minimum 1 fois par an. Almeno una volta all anno. Se la pulizia si effettua dall alto, abbassare bene il vetro. Stûv raccomanda di usare un prodotto che decomponga la fuliggine ogni 15 utilizzi del monoblocco. 17 18 Lubrication of runners : Warning : wait until stove is completely cold! Tilt the door to its full. Use a support to rest the door (photo 18). Undo cables from door (photo 19). Attach them in standby mode (photo 20). Slide the glass to the full to get access to the runners (photo 21). Use a high-temperature lubricant. Lubricate the two bearings that are visible when the door is lowered (photo 21). Raise the door and its frame while holding the sliding part and lubricate the other two ball bearings (photo 22). Then tilt the whole assembly back to horizontal, slide the window and the frame, and close the door. Chimney sweeping At least once a year. If sweeping is done from the top, ensure that the window is right down. Stûv advises that a dose of product to break down the soot be used approximately every 15 times. 19 20 21 22 7
