In inglese l ausiliare è sempre have/has anche con i verbi che in italiano richiedono l ausiliare essere. Have you ever been to England? Sei mai stato in Inghilterra? Nel parlato e nel linguaggio colloquiale si utilizza normalmente la forma contratta dell ausiliare have/has. I ve visited London many times. He s been here three times. Ho visitato Londra molte volte. Lui è stato qui tre volte. Risposte brevi Question tags (vero?/non è vero?) Yes, sogg. + have/has. No, sogg. + haven t/hasn t. You have/ ve been to London, haven t you? You haven t been to London, have you?
Someone has stolen my bag. Mr Brown has broken his leg. In questo caso è spesso accompagnato da avverbi ed espressioni di frequenza come: ever (mai - nelle frasi interrogative ed affermative) never (mai - nelle frasi negative) often, always, twice many times, several times I have been to London several times. Sono stato a Londra parecchie volte.
La domanda che riguarda la frequenza viene espressa con How often?/how many times? How many times have you been there? In questo caso è accompagnato da avverbi come: recently (recentemente), lately (ultimamente) in the last few days (negli ultimi giorni) until now/so far (fino ad ora) Questi avverbi si collocano generalmente a fine frase. She has worked very hard in the last few days. (già - in frase interrogativa) not yet (non ancora, in frase negativa) before (già, in precedenza)
Osserva la posizione di questi avverbi nella frase: Mary has just arrived. Mary è appena arrivata. John has already eaten. Has Peter arrived yet? He hasn t arrived yet. Haven t we met before? Confronta i due esempi: I ve worked hard this morning. It s the first/second time. It s the first time she s been on a plane. dopo superlativi relativi. That s the best film I ve ever seen.
Been / Gone Osserva la differenza d uso tra been e gone. Jane has been to the bank. Jane has gone to the bank. Jane è andata in banca (e non è ancora tornata).
