Design Design The collection we present to you are the result of the rare and original creativity of Marina Gabbiani Ravagnan, a designer who s projected to new stylistic experiences, which is also deeply rooted in the secular tradition of her homeland. Every day she takes that mysterious and precious creative lymph from her country, the same that made famous Venetians artists all over the world. Every single piece created by Marina Gabbiani Ravagnan it s completely hand made, in limited edition and signed, as a guarantee of its singleness and originality.

Dare forma e colore alla materia del vetro è un arte millenaria, la cui sopravvivenza oggi assume il carattere di una sfida. La tradizione artigianale è fondata su processi esclusivamente manuali ed è profondamente vincolata alla trasmissione diretta del suo patrimonio tecnologico tra maestro e apprendista nell ambito di un organizzazione della fornace basata ancora sull impronta medievale. La materia del vetro è ancora oggi composta sulla base di antichi ricettari, ispirandosi ai quali riusciamo ad ottenere una vastissima gamma di sfumature di colore e, caratteristiche di luminosità e trasparenza di altissima qualità. L esecuzione è affidata alla straordinaria arte dei migliori maestri vetrai di Murano che danno forma alla fluida ed incandescente materia con le mani e con gli strumenti che nei secoli si sono evoluti nelle fornaci muranesi. Ogni oggetto viene rigorosamente soffiato a bocca e lavorato a mano mettendo in opera le lavorazioni più difficili e le tecniche più virtuose, in modo da ottenere il più alto grado di qualità artistica. Produzione Production 7 To keep shape and colour in the glass-substance is a millenary art. The survival of the same assumes the character of a challenge. The artisan tradition confirms exclusively manual procedures and is deeply bound by a direct trasmittion of its technological patrimony from the maestro up to the apprentice. Everything develops in the organisation of the furnace that has the same medieval trace. The glass-substance is still made on the base of old recipe books that gives the inpiration to get a vast range of coulor shades, luminosity and trasparent characteristics of high quality. The execution is entrusted to the extraordinary art of the best maestri of Murano, who are able to give shape to the fluid and incandescent substance with hands and instruments, that are always the same for ages in the furnaces of Murano. Every piece is stricktly mouth blown and hand-made with the most difficult manufactures and the most virtuous techniques, so we get the highest artistical quality.

8 La nostra produzione di lampade da tavolo è ideata in modo da offrire una varietà di soluzioni che possano essere ideale completamento per ogni tipo di arredo. Proponiamo infatti delle linee coordinate di lampade, vasi, bottiglie, e coppette, che dialogando tra loro sono in grado di dare un impronta inconfondibile agli ambienti. Gli accostamenti dei paralumi sono accuratamente studiati, e vengono realizzati in seta con l inserimento di particolari in oro vecchio. Lampade da tavolo Table Lamps Our production of table lamps is conceived to offer various ideal solutions for the completion of every type of interior design. We propose co-ordinate lines of lamps, vases, bottles, and bowls that dialoguing together are able to give a peculiar mark to the interiors. The combination of the lamp shades is accurately studyed and realized with silk and insertion of particulars in old gold colour.

28 Le piantane e le appliques sono state ideate in modo da soddisfare contemporaneamente l esigenza di ottenere una corretta e piacevole illuminazione degli ambienti, e di proporre oggetti capaci di caratterizzare in modo deciso ogni tipo di soluzione d arredo. Nasce così la produzione in serie limitata di raffinate piantane realizzate interamente in vetro soffiato, importanti oggetti da collezione destinati ad acquistare valore nel tempo. Completano le nostre proposte per l illuminazione le eleganti appliques. Piantane e Appliques Floor Lamps and Wall Lamps The floor lamps and the appliques were created so to satisfy in the meanwhile the demand to obtain a correct and pleasant illumination of the interiors, and to propose important articles able to characterize definetly every solution of fittings. The floor lamps with the mouth blown bowl and the burnished metal rod, or the floor lamps made completely with blown glass, are important collection pieces that aquire value in the time, and finally the wall appliques complete our proposals for interior lighting.

40 I vasi, nati come proposte per l inserimento nell arredamento di interni, sono stati giustamente interpretati come importanti oggetti da collezione. L impronta originale dell inconfondibile stile che anima queste collezioni, deriva dal carattere deciso degli oggetti eseguiti con i colori forti e saturi cari alla tradizione pittorica veneziana. L uso spregiudicato del rosso rubino, del blu cobalto e del verde smeraldo, danno come risultato un forte impatto cromatico che accentua le trasparenze di vasi e coppe realizzati con le raffinate tecniche del baloton sommerso, del vetro ritorto o rigato e dell incalmo. Completa l esecuzione l inserimento di particolari decorativi lavorati con cristallo e oro che sono l espressione del più alto virtuosismo tecnico. Vasi Artistici Artistic Vases Born like proposal in the interior decorations have been rightly interpreted like important collection objects. The original imprint of the peculiar stlyle of these collections is the determined character of the objects that are executed with fast and saturated coloures of the venetian pictorical tradition. The unprejudiced use of the ruby red, cobalt blue, and emerald green, gives the result of a strong chromatic clash that accentuates vases and blows trasparences with refined techniques of baloton sommerso (little air bubbles), of twisted glas, striped glass, and incalmo ( combination of different glass substance and colours). With the final insertion of gold glass particulars we get the completion of the highest technique virtuosity.

74 Il personale percorso creativo che caratterizza la collezione dei bicchieri, si sviluppa nel segno dell ispirazione evocata dall influenza orientale, dalla cultura bizantina a Venezia e dalla gioiosa riproposta dei motivi floreali di sapore liberty, armoniosamente applicata alla collezione di bicchieri eseguiti in pasta di vetro. Nascono così i calici la cui esecuzione è affidata alle mani dei più virtuosi maestri che soffiando a bocca e lavorando a mano libera eseguono pezzi ogni volta leggermente differenti l uno dall altro, per cui unici. I decori sono anch essi eseguiti a mano libera usando con grande virtuosismo la tecnica del pennino che permette attraverso vari passaggi in forno di vetrificare e fissare l oro zecchino e l oro brunito alla superficie del vetro. Bicchieri da Collezione Collection glasses The personal individual creativity of the collection Glasses is inspired by the influence of the Byzantine culture in Venice. Art Nuveau motifs are also part of the glass collection executed with special glass-pastes. These Collection Glasses are created by maestros working with their hands and blowing with their mouths so that every pieces is its own individual creation. The decorations are made by the hand using the unique nib technique that allows the glass surface to be decorated. Then the glass surface is vertified fixing the platinum and the gold by further insertions in the furnace.

84 Nate quasi per divertimento e per passione personale le uova, le campane, i vasi decorati, sono diventati un classico per gli appassionati del collezionismo; la incessante ricerca stilistica delle forme e dei decori determina una continua produzione di pezzi in serie limitata, interamente soffiati a bocca e decorati a mano libera con la tecnica del pennino, spaziando dal repertorio classico rinascimentale a quello geometrico e astratto tipico dell arte del vicino oriente. La nostra produzione si completa con serie di oggetti da collezione che comprendono coppe, candelieri, bottigliette, animali in vetro, piatti e oggetti per la tavola, ideali complementi per l arredo d interni. Collezioni Collections Born as the result of personal enjoyment and passion, the glass eggs, the glass bells and the decorated vases have become classics for lovers of the collection. The continuose stylistic research in colours and decoration has determined a production of limited edition pieces, strictly mouth blown and decorated by free hand with the nib technique ; sweeping between decoration drawings inspired from the classical Renaissance repertory up to the Near Oriental Art with geometric and abstract decorations. Our production is completed by a series of collection objects that include bowls, candelsticks, small bottles, glass animals, plates and objects for the table decoration, ideal complements for the interiors.
