Nel profondo spirito dell innovazione dell azienda sono nati una serie di prodotti scaturiti da esigenze reali che si sono concretizzate in prodotti. Un esempio chiaro è la nuova versione outdoor della fortunata poltroncina Monza: nata per rispondere all esigenza di portare anche all esterno il prodotto Monza, ampliando in questo modo le sue possibilità d uso. Inoltre la poltroncina Monza, nata come sedia in legno frassino, si arricchisce delle nuove versioni in legno di rovere o noce. La poltroncina Monza ha come base progettuale un rapporto formale equilibrato fra legno e plastica. E stato fatto una nuova ricerca cromatica che ha portato all inserimento di tre nuovi colori completando l attuale gamma. Nella nuova scelta si è voluto trovare un cromatismo della plastica più attento al rapporto con il legno. I nuovi tre colori sono di tonalità calde e ispirati al mondo della natura. Dalla serie Monza, grazie al costante confronto con Konstantin Grcic, è nata la sedia Monza Bistro che gioca con i riferimenti formali della poltroncina senza rinunciare ad un sua propria identità progettuale. Monza Bistro dialoga con la tradizione delle sedie bistro riproponendo un rapporto fra memoria e contemporaneità, fra legno e plastica. La serie dei tavoli Miura, già molto ricca di varianti e dimensioni, si amplia con una nuova serie di tavoli e strutture pensate per ambienti dove il lavoro e la convivialità sono alla base dello stare insieme. In the 2017 collection an array of new products has added further lustre to Plank s distinctly creative world. True to the company s innate spirit of innovation, these latest pieces arose from real necessities now concretized as products. An example is the new outdoor version of the best-selling Monza armchair. Created to meet the need to bring the Monza outdoors too, its scope is now very usefully wider. Moreover, the Monza armchair, initially produced in ash wood, is now enriched with new versions in oak and walnut. Underlying the Monza armchair design is the nicely balanced form of its wood and plastic combination. A recent new chromatic survey led to the addition of three new colours to complete the present range, the intention being to find a colouring for plastic better matched to its relation with wood. The three new colours are tonally warm and inspired by the world of nature. From the Monza series, thanks to Plank s constant collaboration with Konstantin Grcic, comes the Monza Bistro chair. The new product plays with the formal references of this time-honoured furniture staple, without renouncing its own design identity. Monza Bistro dialogues with the tradition of bistro chairs. Bringing back the link between memory and the contemporary and between wood and plastic. The Miura table series, already richly endowed with variants and different dimensions, is now extended to include a new line of table structures.
