2 L idea/the idea I n t o t h e M u s i c è un ambizioso progetto organizzato dall Associazione Un Mondo di Musica e Teamitalia, in collaborazione con la Provincia di Bergamo. L iniziativa desidera diventare un happening giovanile di musica leggera internazionale, un punto di riferimento per tutti i giovani aspiranti artisti e offire al pubblico due serate di melodia, promuovendo il linguaggio internazionale attraverso la musica che intratterrà i presenti. Un evento di musica leggera internazionale, un unico concorso con un unico vincitore assoluto: i giovani artisti si sfideranno sul palco al ritmo di cover in lingua straniera, creando un occasione di incontro tra appassionati e professionisti di canto. Un Mondo di Musica Association and Teamitalia, with Bergamo Province, organize Into the Music, the third international musical event of popular music for young artists. The event wants to offer the public two summer evenings of melodies. It also aims at promoting international dialogue through music that will entertain those present. An international music event of popular music, one competition, one absolut prize: young singers perform on stage to the rhythm of cover versions of international hits, creating an appointment for young singers, music lovers and professionals.

3 Expo 2015 Into the Music vuole essere una grande cartolina p e r l a P r o v i n c i a d i B e r g a m o, auspicando la promozione della Città di Bergamo e la sua Provincia a livello turistico, attraverso la musica. Il progetto ha un carattere di sicura innovatività, andando a colmare un segmento non coperto da nessuna iniziativa nazionale ed internazionale. Nell'ambito delle attività della Provincia di Bergamo, il presente progetto ambisce ad inserirsi sotto un duplice profilo. Da un lato si auspica un suo inserimento all interno del calendario degli eventi dell Expo 2015, cosa che avrebbe una notevole rilevanza per il territorio bergamasco, proiettandolo al centro del panorama internazionale musicale. Si potrebbe pensare, per gli anni a venire, di organizzare l'evento in più sessioni itineranti nella bergamasca, così da sposare la logica dell'expo e coinvolgere una maggiore porzione di territorio. Da altro profilo, il progetto si propone come momento di riflessione e confronto sui temi dell Expo 2015, ovvero energia per la vita e nutrire il pianeta. Il Festival, infatti, mette a confronto giovani che si affrontano nell interpretazione di cover di successi internazionali. Il fatto stesso di creare un occasione di confronto attraverso l utilizzo di linguaggi universali quali musica e arte, rappresenta un esempio di nutrizione del pianeta e delle giovani generazioni. The event propose itself to take part of the events of 2015 Exposition because it could be a reflection on 2015 Expo themes, like youth, energy for life and feeding the planet. The Association wishes to make the event grow up and even more linked to international themes.

4 I protagonisti/the stars Saranno i giovani artisti emergenti i protagonisti assoluti dell evento. Musica, divertimento, ospiti, passione sono le carte in t a v o l a c h e g a r a n t i r a n n o u n a c o m p e t i z i o n e emozionante e due serate coinvolgenti. Una categoria unica per solisti e gruppi vocali (composti da due o più persone). Un unico concorso. Un vincitore assoluto. I brani dovranno essere unicamente delle cover di musica leggera internazionale, eseguite dal vivo su base musicale. Sono ammessi partecipanti che nell anno in corso compiano o abbiano già compiuto 14 anni. The absolute stars of the event will be the young emerging artists. Music, entertainment, meetings and passion are the winning elements that will guarantee an exciting competition and two enthralling musical evenings. One category for solo artists and vocal groups (composed of two or more people) One competition. One absolut winner. The songs in the competition must be cover versions of foreign songs performed live to a backing track. The competition is open to singers from 14 years old.

L evento si propone come un sicuro polo di attrazione e valorizzazione turistica della Città di Bergamo, un opportunità di aggregazione e confronto culturale. The event wants to be an attraction centre and tourist event for the city of Bergamo, an opportunity for different cultures to come together and socialize. 6 Il programma/the program Due serate di grande musica ad eliminazione, durante le quali i partecipanti si esibiranno dal vivo su base musicale con una cover di musica leggera in lingua internazionale. Spetterà alla Giuria scegliere chi passerà alla serata successiva, fino a giungere alla finale, durante la quale verrà decretato il vincitore assoluto. L ingresso è libero in virtù del progetto di cultura gratuita. 18 maggio: prima serata ad eliminazione 19 maggio: serata finale e premiazioni During the two evenings the participants will sing a live cover version of a foreign popular song to a backing track. The Jury will decide on who passes to the next round, until arriving at the final evening when the outright winner will be announced. The entrance is free in the name of the free culture project. May 18th: first elimination May 19th: prizegiving

7 La Giuria/The Jury Una Giuria, composta da esperti del settore, produttori discografici, autori, critici musicali, eletta dal Comitato Organizzatore di Into the Music selezionerà i finalisti e nell ultima serata decreterà il vincitore assoluto del Festival. A Jury consisting of experts from the sector, recording producers, songwriters, musical critics, elected by the Organising Committee of "Into the music" will select the finalists and announce the outright winner of Into the music. Premio del Pubblico Audience Award Il pubblico presente potrà votare inviando un semplice sms con il proprio telefono cellulare al numero che verrà indicato durante le due serate. Chi otterrà più votazioni, vincerà il Premio del Pubblico. The audience can vote, simply sending a sms with a mobile phone to a number which will be indicated during the 2 nights. The artist who receives more votes wins the Audience Award.

8 La com unicazione The comm unication Into the Music è una nuova ed ambiziosa idea che rappresenta per Bergamo e provincia e per i Partner pubblici e privati coinvolti un importante occasione di visibilità a livello regionale, nazionale ed internazionale. Il Comitato Organizzatore ha individuato un mix di mezzi di comunicazione che garantisce un ampia diffusione dell evento. Sono previsti i seguenti supporti di promozione: -Riprese e spot televisivi e radiofonici; -Stampati promozionali; -Pagina web dell evento sul sito -Presenza su facebook e youtube; -Redazione di newsletter e comunicati stampa; -Spazi promozionali. Into the Music is a new and ambitious initiative that represents, for Bergamo and Province and for the public and private partners involved, an important occasion of visibility at a regional, national and international level. The Organising Committee has defined a mix of communication means that guarantees an extensive promotion and broadcasting of the event. The following promotional supports are planned: -Official radio of the event; -Promotional printed material (handbills, posters, brochures, official magazine of the event); -Web-page dedicated to the event; -Television and radio commercials; -Redaction of newsletters and press releases; -Presence on facebook and youtube; -Promotional spaces.

10 BANDO DI CONCORSO INTO THE MUSIC III Happening giovanile di musica internazionale Palazzo della Provincia di Bergamo - Via Tasso, 8 Bergamo maggio ore La partecipazione alla kermesse canora Into the Music prodotta dall Associazione Un Mondo di Musica e Teamitalia, è disciplinata nel seguente modo: 1. I criteri e le modalità di selezione degli Artisti verranno decisi in modo esclusivo e insindacabile da una Commissione Artistica appositamente designata dal Comitato Organizzatore. Inoltre, l ordine di apparizione alla serata di selezione e alla Finale sarà determinato tramite estrazione. 2. A questa kermesse a carattere internazionale di musica leggera possono partecipare cantanti solisti e gruppi vocali (composti da due o più persone), che presentino tassativamente una c o v e r i n l i n g u a straniera dal contenuto privo di messaggi pubblicitari o di parole che offendano il comune senso del pudore, le Persone, lo Stato e le Pubbliche Istituzioni. L o s c o p o d e l l a m a n i f e s t a z i o n e è s c o p r i r e, valorizzare e promuovere al grande pubblico n u o v i t a l e n t i. P e r g l i a r t i s t i c h e h a n n o partecipato alle precedenti edizioni si informa che, in caso di selezione, non sarà possibile riproporre lo stesso brano già presentato gli anni scorsi. 3. L ammissione al Festival si effettuerà tramite la sottoscrizione ed invio del modulo che trovate n e l l e p a g i n e s u c c e s s i v e e s a r à e f f i c a c e a l momento del pagamento della somma di euro 30, 00 ( euro trenta). Sarà possibile effettuare il v e r s a m e n t o s u l c / c p o s t a l e N intestato a Teamitalia con la causale Iscrizione Festival Into the Music La somma versata non sarà in alcun modo restituita anche in caso di eliminazione in fase di selezione. 4. Le tempistiche da osservare sono le seguenti: - entro il 15 aprile 2012: termine ultimo per l invio del materiale suddetto e per la partecipazione alla selezione (farà fede il timbro postale); - entro il 30 aprile 2012: tutti coloro che avranno inviato il materiale per l iscrizione riceveranno una comunicazione relativa all ammissione/non ammissione per partecipare alla serata del 18 maggio. - entro l 8 maggio 2012: il concorrente, che avrà r i c e v u t o c o m u n i c a z i o n e d i s e l e z i o n e, d o v r à consegnare o inviare almeno dieci giorni prima, presso la sede di Teamitalia in Via Zelasco 1 a Bergamo, la base musicale, incisa su cd audio e c o n t e n e n t e s o l o i l b r a n o d a e s e g u i r e. P e n a l esclusione dal Festival. Sulla base musicale sono ammessi i cori, ma non la voce guida, in quanto è tassativamente vietato il playback. Infatti i solisti o gruppi vocali cantano dal vivo. La kermesse canora sarà così strutturata: - Venerdì 18 maggio 2012: 1 serata SERATA ELIMINATORIA. Esibizione dei concorrenti selezionati che presenteranno un brano. Serata ad eliminazione. - Sabato 19 maggio 2012: 2 serata FINALE Esibizione dei finalisti che presenteranno un brano. Assegnazione Premio Into the Music ed eventuali premi speciali a discrezione della Giuria. 5. Nell ambito della propria esibizione, ogni Artista presenterà dal vivo una cover in lingua straniera o su base musicale. 6.Gli Artisti dovranno avere un età minima di 14 anni (compiuti entro la fine dell anno in corso). P e r i m i n o r e n n i è t a s s a t i v a, a l m o m e n t o dell iscrizione al Festival, la firma dell esercente la patria potestà. 7. Ogni concorrente dovrà presentarsi nel giorno e n e l l o r a c o m u n i c a t o g l i d a l C o m i t a t o Organizzatore. È richiesta la massima puntualità durante le serate, pena l esclusione dalla manifestazione. Inoltre, i concorrenti in gara dovranno essere presenti fino al termine delle esibizioni della propria serata nel luogo di svolgimento del Festival. 8.Per partecipare alla Selezione di Into the Music 2012, è necessario compilare il modulo di iscrizione e inviarlo o consegnarlo, con gli allegati richiesti* a: TeamItalia srl Festival Into the Music Via Zelasco, Bergamo Italia La compilazione deve avvenire in tutte le sue parti, in stampatello, in modo chiaro e leggibile e il modulo deve essere debitamente firmato. Termine ultimo per l invio del materiale: 15 aprile L iscrizione al Festival sarà ritenuta valida solo se completa di tutto il materiale richiesto*: -una cover in qualsiasi lingua con traccia audio su supporto audio CD ( non inviare via mail il file). Il brano può anche non essere quello che, in caso di selezione, si canterà durante le varie serate. È importante inviare il cd perché necessario per essere selezionati o meno. Inviare i seguenti materiali in formato cartaceo: - breve biografia dell Artista; - n 1 fotografia a colori dell Artista; - fotocopia del documento d identità dell Artista, o l t r e a q u e l l o d e l g e n i t o r e, s e l A r t i s t a è minorenne; - r i c e v u t a ( o f o t o c o p i a ) d e l v e r s a m e n t o d e l l a quota di iscrizione. L a C o m m i s s i o n e d i s e l e z i o n e p r o v v e d e r à a selezionare gli Artisti in gara solo fra coloro la cui iscrizione sarà completa di tutti i materiali sopra citati.

Il P r e m i o I n t o t h e M u s i c sarà conferito, s u d e c i s i o n e d e l l a G i u r i a t e c n i c a, a d u n s o l o c o n c o r r e n t e / g r u p p o p a r t e c i p a n t e. I l P r e m i o d e l P u b b l i c o sarà conferito al concorrente/ gruppo che r i c e v e r à p i ù v o t i t ra m i t e i l s e r v i z i o s m s v o t i n g e f f e t t u a t o d a l p u b b l i c o d u ra n t e l e d u e s e ra t e ; u l t e r i o r i r i c o n o s c i m e n t i s a ra n n o a s s e g n a t i a discrezione del Comitato Organizzatore. 11. In caso di sospensione o interruzione anticipata d e l Fe s t i va l, c i a s c u n A r t i s t a c h e v i p a r t e c i p a a v r à d i r i t t o a l r e c u p e r o d e l c o s t o d iscrizione. 12. Nessun compenso o rimborso verrà corrisposto agli Artisti, a nessun titolo, in nessuna fase della manifestazione canora È r i c h i e s t o u n a b b i g l i a m e n t o c h e s i a c o n s o n o a l F e s t i v a l, p o s s i b i l m e n t e e l e g a n t e, un abbigliamento che non contrasti con le norme del buon costume, con le norme di Legge o con diritti di t e r z i. N o n p o t ra n n o, a l t r e s ì, p r o n u n z i a r e f ra s i, compiere gesti, utilizzare oggetti o indossare capi di v e s t i a r i o a v e n t i r i f e r i m e n t i a n c h e i n d i r e t t a m e n t e pubblicitari e/ o promozionali. 14. Le spese di viaggio e soggiorno sono a carico degli Artisti. 15. Gli Artisti dovranno sempre presentarsi con un documento di riconoscimento valido e con relativo materiale per la propria esibizione I l C o m i t a t o O r g a n i z z a t o r e s i i m p e g n a a d osservare tutte le disposizioni emanate dalla S. I. A. E. in materia di manifestazioni analoghe I l C o m i t a t o O r g a n i z z a t o r e s i r i s e r v a e s p r e s s a m e n t e, i n c a s o d i i n a d e m p i e n z a a l s e g u e n t e r e g o l a m e n t o, d i p o t e r e s c l u d e r e d a l l a m a n i f e s t a z i o n e c a n o r a, i n q u a l s i a s i m o m e n t o e s e n z a r i m b o r s o a l c u n o, l i n a d e m p i e n t e o g l i i n a d e m p i e n t i. 18. Gli Artisti, iscrivendosi, garantiscono al Comitato Organizzatore di non violare con la loro esibizione d i r i t t i d i t e r z i e t o l g o n o a q u e s t u l t i m a o g n i responsabilità. 19. E facoltà del Comitato Organizzatore registrare e/ o riprendere e/ o far registrare e/ o far riprendere e diffondere da terzi una o più fasi della kermesse, a l i v e l l o t e l e v i s i v o, a u d i o v i s i v o, f o t o g ra f i c o e f o n o g ra f i c o. E i n o l t r e f a c o l t à d e l C o m i t a t o Organizzatore abbinare alla manifestazione e/ o alla diffusione televisiva e/ o radiofonica dello stessa una o più iniziative a carattere promo- pubblicitario, fra cui a titolo esemplificativnon esaustivo: operazioni di patrocinio, sponsorizzazioni, merchandising, senza c h e a l c u n o d e g l i A r t i s t i p o s s a a v e r e n u l l a a pretendere. 20. I diritti d autore dei brani presentati rimangono di totale proprietà di autori e compositori dei brani stessi, così come i diritti di commercializzazione. Il partecipante autorizza il Comitato Organizzatore alla diffusione radiotelevisiva del brano presentato alla kermesse canora, all utilizzo del nome d arte, delle informazioni biografiche inviate all atto dell iscrizione e delle immagini del partecipante, nell interesse del p a r t e c i p a n t e s t e s s o, e s c l u s i va m e n t e p e r f i n i promozionali e di comunicazione inerenti al Festival. 21. Il Comitato Organizzatore si riserva di apportare, s e n e c e s s a r i o, e v e n t u a l i m o d i f i c h e a l p r e s e n t e Regolamento. 22. In caso di controversie il Foro competente sarà in via esclusiva quello del Tribunale di Bergamo. 23. Il vincitore Into the Music 2012 ha il diritto di partecipare gratuitamente all edizione 2013.

In caso di iscrizione di gruppi vocali (composti da due o più persone) si prega di compilare il seguente modulo per ogni componente del gruppo. 13 ENTRY FORM INTO THE MUSIC III International music festival for young artists Bergamo Province building Via Tasso, 8 Bergamo May 2012 at 9:00 p.m. The rules for participating in the song festival called Into the Music produced by the Un Mondo di Musica Association and Teamitalia are as follows: 1. The criteria and methods for selecting the Artists shall be decided exclusively and categorically by an Artistic Commission specifically set up for this purpose by the Organising Committee. The order of appearance at the selection and final evenings will be determined by a random drawing. 2. This international festival is open to solo Artists or vocal groups (composed of two or more people), who must perform a cover version of a foreign song of popular music that does not contain advertising messages or words that may offend common decency, people, the state and public institutions. T h e p u r p o s e o f t h i s e v e n t i s t o discover new talent. Who competed to the last edition can t sing the same song of Admission to the Festival is made by the signing and sending of the application form reportedin t h e n e x t p a g e s a n d s h a l l b e e f f e c t i v e u p o n payment of 30 ( thirty) Euros. Payment can be made to Teamitalia, postal account number with the description Subscription Festival Into the Music The amount paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, not even in the event of elimination in the selection phase. 4.The dates and times of the competition are as follows -by 15th April 2012: final date for sending the above mentioned materials and for taking part in the selections ( the postmark date shall be proof of dispatch); -by 30th April 2012: everyone who sent the material for entering into the selections will be informed by letter whether or not he/she has been admitted to the 18 May evening. - by 8th May 2012: the contestant, who will be received the communication of selection, must let us have at Teamitalia office ( Via Zelasco Bergamo) at least a ten days before the date of the Festival, the audio track on CD on w h i c h t h e c o n t e s t a n t w i l l s i n g h i s s o n g. I f Teamitalia doesn t receive it, the contestant will be disqualified. On the audio track, chorus are admitted but not the guide voice, because the payback is forbidden. Indeed solo artists and vocal groups sing live. The song festival shall be structured as follows: -F r i d a y, 1 8 t h M a y : 1st evening - ELIMINATIONS Exhibition of selected contestants who will each perform a song. Elimination. - Saturday, 19th May 2012: 2nd Evening FINAL Exhibition of the finalists who will each perform a song. Awarding of the WINNER of the Into the Music 2012 and eventual other prizes. 5.As part of their exhibition, each Artist sing a cover song using a backing track. 6.The Artists must be 14 years old. For minors, registration to the Festival must be accompanied by the signature of a parent or legal guardian. 7.Contestants must present themselves on the day and at the time communicated to them by the Organising Committee with the backing track on an audio CD containing only the song to be performed, for the sound check. The backing track can contain recorded backing vocals, but not the lead vocals, since singing in playback is absolutely prohibited. Maximum punctuality is required during the evenings, under penalty of being excluded from the event. In addition, contestants must be present in the venue where the festival is held during every performance of the evening. 8.To participate in the Selection of the Into the Music 2012 complete the application form and send or hand- deliver it together with the requested attachments to: Teamitalia srl Into the Music Via Zelasco, Bergamo Italy Deadline for sending the material: 15/ 04/ 2012 Participation in the Song Festival is valid only if all the requested material is complete. Please complete all fields clearly and legibly. The Selection Commission will select the Artists to participate in the competition from among those who sent the following material: -a cover song of popular music in a foreign language with an audio track on CD. ( not send the file by mail) The song does not necessarily have to be the one that, in case of selection, the entrant will sing during the festival. Application materials sent for the selections will not be returned under any circumstances.

The Jury choose the best contestant who receive the I n t o t h e M u s i c p r i z e. The audience can vote a n d w h o r e c e i ve m o r e s m s votes w i n t h e Audience Award Additional awards will be given at the discretion of the Organising Committee. 11. In case of suspension or early interruption of the Festival, each participating Artist shall have the right to recover the entry fee. 12. No compensation or reimbursement shall be paid to the Artists at any time during the song festival A l l t h e A r t i s t s a r e r e q u i r e d t o d r e s s appropriately in accordance with the standards of p u b l i c d e c e n c y, t h e l a w a n d t h i r d - p a r t y r i g h t s, elegance dress if it s possible. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be paid by the Artists. 15. The Artists must always present themselves with a valid identification document and with all the material relating to their performance. 16. The Organising Committee shall comply with all t h e p r o v i s i o n s i s s u e d b y t h e S. I. A. E. r e g a r d i n g similar types of events T h e O r g a n i s i n g C o m m i t t e e e x p r e s s l y r e s e r v e s t h e r i g h t, i n c a s e o f n o n - o b s e r v a n c e o f t h e f o l l o w i n g r u l e, t o e x c l u d e t h e d e f a u l t i n g p a r t y o r p a r t i e s f r o m t h e s o n g f e s t i v a l, a t a n y t i m e a n d w i t h o u t c o m p e n s a t i o n o r r e i m b u r s e m e n t o f a n y k i n d. 18. By entering the festival, the Artist ensures the Organising Committee that his/ her performance shall not violate third- party rights and shall relieve this latter of any liability. 19. The Organising Committee has the right to record and/ or film and/ or have recorded and/ or have filmed and distributed to third parties, one or more phases o f t h e f e s t i va l, f o r t e l e v i s i o n, a u d i o v i s u a l, p h o t o g ra p h i c a n d p h o n o g ra p h i c p u r p o s e s. Royalties of the songs presented shall remain the complete property of the authors and composers of the songs themselves, as shall the marketing rights. The participants authorise the Organising Committee to broadcast the song presented at the song festival, to use the stage name, biographical information sent upon registration and pictures of the participant, in the participant' s interest, exclusively for promoting and publicising the Festival T h e O r g a n i s i n g C o m m i t t e e h a s t h e r i g h t t o change these rules, if necessary. 22. In case of disputes, the competent courts of Bergamo shall have exclusive jurisdiction. 23. The Outright winner of the Festival 2012 has the r i g h t t o p a r t i c i p a t e f r e e o f c h a r g e i n t h e Festival.
