4 Product description E2K Spooler is a software solution for printing automation; E2K Spooler integrates seamlessly into all those systems that can create simple text files with information to be printed (variable data). It is designed to intercept data files right after they appear and immediately print the corresponding information, without human intervention. 5 System layout Text fiille ERP The basic idea is to combine the three key elements of a printing and produce the result. E2K Spooler automates the printing process using the received data in accordance with a preset configuration. Upon installation, a few parameters are configured so that the application has all the elements that it needs to generate the prints autonomously once it receives the variable data. 6 The three basic elements in the print flow are: WHAT = WHAT TO PRINT Variabile data to be printed, in the form of text files following a standard format. HOW = HOW TO PRINT The print layout, a format created and maintained with a graphical tool included in E2K Spooler, which allows high flexibility, print quality and ease of use. 7 GUI E2K Spooler runs as a process on the computer which will manage the printing phase; it constantly monitors for new print requests (text files), that are used together with the reports previously designed to create the required printouts. 9 E2K Spooler allows to send special sequences in pass-through, for example to activate specific features of the printer using its native language (magnetic bar encoding, RF tag, etc..); moreover, it is possible to print text in eastern alphabets (Kanji, Thai, etc.), variable logos and barcodes in several symbologies.
