The AWO Nordhessen is dealing with different social and care sectors. The focal point of our offer consists in taking care of elderly people. In Nordhessen we provide and support elderly people in different situations of life with about 30 institutions for in- and out-patients. Our care centers are professional services for geriatric and gerontology which are specialized in reacting to the needs of old and multiply ill persons. These are people with diseases typical for their age and disabilities; but to a great part also persons with psychological diseases and different forms of dementia. The work in our institutions has therefore a profile strongly concentrated on social care. Working with these persons is a challenge. Therefore we are looking for professional staff who is ready to cooperate. Further Education. 20 elderly care NURSES Another focal point of the AWO Nordhessen is the education and further education for professional carers.

4 In the Nordhessen region we run 5 caring schools for health professions. We offer further education concerning questions into geriatric and social gerontology to interested persons coming from the European neighbor countries. For the foreign professional staff we have specific education offers which should make it easier to understand and find into working in our institutions. You can apply if You are a professional with a minimum of a 3-year training usually these are nurses in all European countries.. We help you with the acceptance of the diploma according to German law. The employment is lined up with the standard wages valid for the AWO Nordhessen. No commission payment is charged. Usually the work contracts are at first limited to 2 years. Practise in an AWO Nordhessen Institution:. For the coming about of a working contract employees and employers have to get to know each other. Therefore we offer the following: interested persons absolve a 3-weeks practice in our institutions. During this time they get a practice salary on which they can live in Germany. We provide an accommodation/room. The employer (AWO) pays for the travel expenses/flight. The practise aims on the conclusion of a working contract.

Sending of copies and officially certified reports of your professional diplomas translated into German (by a sworn in/official/authorized translator) and in case also the certificate for professional experience. After these documents have been examined by the German authorities and the acceptance that the person can be acknowledged as professional staff they will be invited to the practice. 2. Our internal medicine section at the Celle General Hospital, which includes the departments of gastroenterology, cardiology and pulmonary/respiratory medicine, is seeking a 3 Medical intern or resident to begin work at the earliest possible starting date. Our aim is to find a physician associate who is seeking sound clinical training in internal medicine, as provided by our system of rotations through the three participating departments. In addition to advanced basic training in internal medicine as a foundation for specialization in internal medicine and general medicine, you can also earn specialty designations in gastroenterology, cardiology, pulmonary medicine and comprehensive internal medicine. Moreover, there is an option for further qualification in intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, palliative medicine and medical oncology with an award of the appropriate additional subspecialty designations. The position is suitable for both physicians who are just starting out their career and for physicians with work experience. The internal medicine department manages 195 in-patient beds including an interdisciplinary cardiology-directed intensive care unit and a large ambulatory emergency service. Two left-heart catheterization units as well as a gastroenterology and pneumonology endoscopic unit equipped for interventional procedures provide emergency care for patients around the clock. We have established a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (including ERCP and endosonography) procedures and bronchoscopy (flexible/rigid bronchoscopy, argon plasma coagulation, stent placement, EBUS, and thoracoscopy) procedures. In addition, we have a specialized interdisciplinary oncology service. A center for thoracic diseases and a center for intestinal diseases are under development. A weaning station rounds out the spectrum of our services. During the training all departments are covered. The close coordination among the three

6 departments assures comprehensive training in the entire range of skills and practices belonging to internal medicine. Remuneration conforms to the guidelines of the tariff agreement for doctors at university clinics (TV-Ärzte), and includes the customary social benefits for public service employees. Continuing education programs are generously supported or paid for in whole (including radiation protection, sonography, intensive medicine, Doppler sonography). Part-time employment may be possible by agreement. If you are appropriately qualified, you may participate in our emergency physician service and receive attractive supplementary income. The service model is in conformity with the Working Hours Act, and the requirement for on-call service is modest, with one service call per month. The on-call duty only begins after orientation has been completed (for physicians just beginning their emergency service experience, this is after one year). Our hospital has been certified by a profession + family audit as meeting the standards for familyoriented personnel policies and has concluded an agreement for the professional integration of individuals with handicaps in accordance with SGB IX (German Social Code Book IX).
