Omosessuali, neri, puttane, immigrati, per non parlare degli ebrei marchiati e torturati o delle ragazze yazide rapite, vendute e stuprate dall Isis E mentre io sto scrivendo, chissà quante in questo stesso momento staranno subendo violenza. Tutti naturalmente diversi tra loro e diversi per la società che li vede come un pericolo con occhio sbagliato, senza valutare tutto il bello che è contenuto in loro, senza valutare che la differenza, la diversità è bellezza, non certo l omologazione che tenta ormai di inghiottire ogni nostro slancio di creatività. Con queste nuove opere e con l apporto di Berengo Studio, che con il vetro e l arte dei maestri vetrai aggiunge altra diversità al mio lavoro - vetro e silicone sono due materiali totalmente estranei tra loro - voglio sottolineare l importanza dei CORPI ESTRANEI che con le loro differenze e il loro fascino arricchiscono la nostra cultura. MARISA LAURITO E ADRIANO BERENGO AL LAVORO IN FORNACE A MURANO MARISA LAURITO AND ADRIANO BERENGO WORKING IN THE MURANO'S FURNACE The CORPI ESTRANEI are what make my works of art different. They are fibres, the pieces of glass, of aluminum and copper, the round or stretched pinwheels, a Different like the "Foreign Bodies" that today, like yesterday, invade our society: bodies that are refused, abused and rejected by the most. Homosexuals, black people, prostitutes, immigrants, the Jews who were marked and tortured or even the Yazidi women who are kidnapped, raped and sold by ISIS. Who knows how many people in the world are suffering violence while I m writing. Everyone of these people is obviously different from one another, and is also considered different and a menace by the society. The society looks wrongly at them, without considering their beauty, because diversity is the real beauty, not the standardization that tries to destroy every our impulse of creativity. With these new works of art I want to underline the importance of the CORPI ESTRANEI and the fact that they enrich our culture with their differences. That s why I decided to work with glass and silicone, two materials that are completely unrelated. And that s why the help from Berengo Studio was crucial, since it addedeven more diversity to my project with its experience in the world of glass and with the art of its glass maestros.
