EGRACONS: major aim The major aim of the EGRACONS project is to design and develop a reliable system for the conversion of grades to allow universities to ensure fair transfer and recognition of grades of mobile students in full agreement with the ECTS guide published in February 2009

Aggregation criteria A conversion tool based on degree programmes as reference groups will probably be more precise but more difficult to handle for international relations officers (IROs) who will have to deal with hundreds of groups especially for large universities. On the other hand, wide aggregations such as entire faculties will probably lead to an unprecise system because will aggregate degree programmes with very different academic contents and difficulties. The EGRACONS partners will discuss this point very carefully, also consulting the Bologna experts of their countries, in order to identify the best aggregation criteria. As an example, for Italy the CLASSES OF DEGREES represent rather homogenous reference groups. Chosen the aggregation criteria, the reference groups will be clearly indicated in the the transcript of records using specific AGGREGATION CODES.
EGRACONS METHODOLOGY/1 Calculate the grade distribution in terms of percentages for all reference groups of all participating universities over a period of at least two academic years for the reference group identified. Develop templates for the collection of the grade distributions (grading tables) for the different countries represented by the EGRACONS partners. Develop the first version of a statistical electronic tool (EGRACONS TOOL-1, ET-1) capable of converting the data provided by two different partner universities using the aforementioned templates.
EGRACONS METHODOLOGY/2 Test ET-1 converting the grades of a limited number of students (150) exchanged by three universities participanting to the EGRACONS project. Test ET-2 converting the grades of a larger number of students (300) exchanged by all universities participating to the project. Test ET-3 converting the grades of a larger number of students (600) exchanged by all universities participating to the EGRACONS project and possibly other member universities of the SANTANDER GROUP (34 universities) and UNICA network (43 universities).

Software web-based: 3 EASY STEPS! Conversione in 3 passaggi attraverso menu a tendina: Utilizzando il transcript of records (ToR), INSERIRE 1. IL VOTO OTTENUTO ALL ESTERO DALLO STUDENTE 4. DONE!
