Arcadja Report 11 Biografia 1912-1995 TURCATO Giulio, pittore italiano, è nato a Mantova nel 1912 e muore a Roma nel 1995. La sua prima formazione avvenne presso l'accademia di venezia e nel dopoguerra partecipò al dibattito tra astrattisti e realisti cercando di conciliare quella che è l'astrazione con una immediata leggibilità dell'opera. Attraversò inoltre le esperienze del gruppo romano Forma e poi del Fronte nuovo delle arti e del gruppo degli Otto. Infine dalla metà degli anni Cinquanta sviluppò una pittura materica e di segno. Tra le sue opere ricordiamo "Le oceaniche".
