Dear Colleagues, I have the pleasure of announcing the first international symposium on vascular diseases to be hosted at the historical and beautiful medieval city of Ferrara. Prolonged experience in the field of vascular disease and our common interest in vascular research requested to built an international collaboration with medical centers that will further direct in the costitution of an International Vascular Team Foundation for the study, prevention and therapy of vascular diseases. This will facilitate exchange of ideas, while also different methods of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of vascular patients will be analyzed. The rapid expansion of the technology and pharmaceutical agents will be discussed to allow both the novice and the expert to improve their practice. This congress represents not only an up to date in Arterial and Venous procedures but also the opportunity to exchange experience between experts and to built up prospective studies. In this forum also the interested pharmaceutical and technology industries will have the opportunity to talk with quality experts that can further enhance the collaboration for innovation. Following the Italian tradition and a warm Mediterranean welcome we have organized a guided tour to the Ferrara s historical museums, the city of Venice and birdwatching in the beautiful Delta of Po river. I hope you all enjoy your stay in Ferrara. Nicos Labropoulos 1
