Clearflex RBH 58 B polietilene reticolabile per lo stampaggio rotazionale versalis ha sviluppato il Clearflex RBH 58 B adatto alla produzione, mediante stampaggio rotazionale, di cisterne e serbatoi per contenere prodotti chimici, benzine e gasoli. Clearflex RBH 58 B è un polietilene reticolabile ottenuto da una resina HDPE da processo fase gas contenente antiossidanti standard e additivata con opportuni perossidi, coadiuvanti di reticolazione, carbon black (o altri masterbatches colorati). Tutti i componenti della formulazione sono omogeineizzati in estrusore bivite con sistema di raffreddamento ad acqua. Il granulo ottenuto è polverizzato in un mulino per dare una granulometria ottimale, tale da essere utilizzata nello stampaggio rotazionale. cross-linkable polyethylene for rotomolding versalis developed Clearflex RBH 58 B suitable for production, by rotomolding, of chemical storage tanks and automotive fuel tanks. Clearflex RBH 58 B is a cross-linkable polyethylene, produced through reactive processing. The base resin is an HDPE gas phase grade containing standard antioxidants which is initially mixed with proper peroxide, crosslinking adjuvant, carbon black (or other color masterbatches), then all components are processed in a twin screw extruder equipped with water cooling system. The granules obtained are pulverized in a mill to give a powder of well-defined particle size ready to be used in rotomolding applications. 1
La scelta del polimero e il corretto dosaggio degli additivi permettono la formazione di nuovi legami chimici, assenti nel materiale iniziale, che ne cambiano la struttura:è il processo di reticolazione. Questo processo avviene durante la fase di stampaggio (cottura) del manufatto grazie alla temperatura presente nel forno. Il valore ottimale di reticolazione varia dal 70 all 89%; una reticolazione eccessiva può determinare il decadimento di alcune proprietà del materiale (infragilimento, stress cracking). Polymer choice, together with the right additives, allow the formation of new chemical bonds, absent in the base resin, which are able to change its structure: it s the cross-linking process. Cross-linking occurs during the rotomolding process thanks to the oven temperature. Clearflex RBH 58 B, grazie alle sue proprietà, è raccomandato per la produzione di cisterne contenenti prodotti chimici agricoli o industriali, serbatoi auto e moto, barriere stradali e per tutti quei manufatti che richiedono resistenza meccanica e chimica. Clearflex RBH 58 B, opportunamente trasformato, permette di ottenere manufatti con buona qualità superficiale. L intervallo di temperatura suggerito varia dai 230 C ai 280 C in funzione del tempo di residenza del manufatto nel forno. Clearflex RBH 58 B, when properly converted, allows obtaining finished items having good surface. Tutte le analisi sono state fatte su provini ricavati da un pezzo standard a forma di cubo stampato con una macchina per stampaggio rotazionale alla temperatura di 270 C e per un tempo di 20 minuti. Clearflex RBH 58 B mostra elevate proprietà meccaniche, ottima resistenza all urto a bassa temperatura ed un elevata resistenza allo stress cracking. Il prodotto, sviluppato da versalis principalmente per il settore dei serbatoi per carburante, è disponibile nelle colorazioni nera, naturale e a richiesta in specifici colori nella forma fisica granulo e polvere stabilizzata U.V. Fig. 2 shows the results obtained by Clearflex RBH 58 B in comparison to a traditional versalis product for rotational molding. All analyses were made on specimens from a standard piece cube-shaped molded with a machine for rotational molding using temperature of 270 C and time of 20 minutes. Clearflex RBH 58 B shows high mechanical properties : excellent impact resistance at low temperature and high resistance to stress cracking. The product developed by versalis mainly for fuel tanks application is available in black and natural colors. Specific colors either in granule and U.V. stabilized are available upon request. 4
