21 -Case Histories Our Experience Works Diesel/LNG blend On a heavy duty vehicle EURO V Truck Test Results This Diesel Dual Fuel conversion project promoted by AIB, CSEAB, FAI in collaboration with University of Brescia and ENEA, was aimed to demonstrate the real operative benefits of Diesel Dual Fuel LNG vehicle in a real life work case. The tested vehicle was an IVECO STRALIS 450hp EURO V provided by a local transportation company (GHIDINI ROK). The project results were presented to the authorities on Nov. 20th 2014 at Brescia Exhibition Center

23 Assembly of Natural Gas tanks and Dual Fuel installation Due to the lack of a near LNG filling station, the vehicle was equipped with CNG tanks, to obtain a good performance on the road. The experimentation of LNG was made by Dynamometer. About 600 liters of compressed natural gas were installed on the tractor, equal to travel up to about 750Km on a single tank.

29 ON THE ROAD TEST Experimental tests made on dedicated roads, in ideal conditions of the vehicle, gave a maximum result of medium substitution Diesel / CNG by 58%. The medium substitution value obtained on mixed routes, always with ideal conditions, was 48.8%. Customer TESTS RESULTS Experimental tests made by our client GHIDIN ROK, on his usual roads(*) for over 12500Km, with real charge(**) of the tractor anc d the trailer, gave a medium substitution value Diesel/Methane by 44%, calculated considering the supplies at the pump and the data logging CAN-BUS appliance measurements on board. Medium economic saving, considering the current fuel costs 18,8% (*) Roads: 75% motorway, 25% country and mountain roads (**) Medium Charge: 27 tons for 70% of the time. Drive back with empty vehicle.

35 Dynamometer Engines Development Our structure, together with a wide partners network, offers a comprehensive range of services focused on the development of the engine working with alternative fuels. Our power bench testers/chassis dynamometers and the engineering support provided by our companies assure the highest features in testing and for the development of reliable performances.

36 Developed Activities on Rolling Road Dynos Thanks to the technologies available at the Holdim group, our chassis dynamometers have been provided with a hydraulic link supporting realistic road simulations in all the engine working conditions while testing cars/light vehicles, heavy duty trucks and buses, tractors and motorbikes. Not only we support tests specifically conceived for a wide range of purposes, but we also develop special tools and solutions based on our clients needs.

37 On-the-road PEMS Emissions Test Portable Emission Measurement System, lightweight laboratory which purpose is to test and assess emissions on mobile sources during on-the-road tests or in dynamometer sessions. This service can be offered also on site by our specialized technicians.

Thanks to its twenty years of experience in the field, HVM is on the market as a reference point for the design and construction of cryogenic tanks for industrial, scientific and medical applications. GNL/LNG TANKS FOR VEHICLES AND BOATS A major area of reference where HVM has invested significant resources is storage of liquid methane.
