2 Chapman Taylor è uno studio internazionale di architettura, urbanistica e interior design che opera, con i suoi 17 uffici, in oltre 70 paesi in tutto il mondo. Fondato a Londra nel 1959, lo studio è presente in Italia dagli anni 90. L ufficio italiano, noto come Chapman Taylor Architetti, è stato aperto nel 2002 nel centro di Milano. 7 Rotor M1M2 Zagabria, Croazia Commerciale ludico-ricreativo direzionale residenziale Leisure Workplace Residential L area di intervento a Sud-Ovest del fiume Sava si trova in una zona di nuova espansione della città e prevede l edificazione di circa m 2 di nuovi spazi commerciali, direzionali, residenziali e ricettivi tra cui ristoranti, exhibition centre, piscina/spa e centro congressi. Il progetto prevede al piano terra una grande piastra inclinata che segue in modo naturale la morfologia urbana esistente e si congiunge ad una estremità con l argine del fiume, attualmente già pedonale. Al di sopra della piastra inclinata si ergono due edifici-icona distinti, immediatamente riconoscibili da tutta la città, rispettivamente con destinazione residenziale e direzionale. Le due torri, rispettivamente di 100 e 220 m di altezza, godono entrambe di una spettacolare vista verso la città ed il fiume. This site, southwest of the Sava River, is in a new city expansion area and will see the construction of approximately 126,000m² of new retail, business, residential and hospitality spaces, including restaurants, an exhibition centre, swimming pool, Spa and a conference centre. The ground floor of the design is a large sloping retail platform that follows the existing urban morphology and meets up at one end with the river bank, already a pedestrian area. Two striking buildings rise above it and are immediately recognisable from all over the city. Serving residential and business purposes, the two towers are 100 and 220m tall respectively and command a spectacular view of the city and river. 8 9

Una scenografica torre d uffici di 25 piani, affacciata sul Mar Caspio, è l elemento architettonico dominante: impostata su un basamento a destinazione, ospita una grande Spa con attrezzature sportive e piscine sia interne che esterne. Il lato nord del tetto è delimitato da un edificio concepito per ospitare altri uffici e funge da sfondo orizzontale alla torre. A project on an old disused industrial site linked to the port area, which is to be regenerated. The dominant architectural feature is a spectacular 25-storey office block overlooking the Caspian Sea. Set on a plinth of shops, it contains a large Spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and sports amenities. A building running across the north side of the roof provides more office space and provides the tower with a horizontal backdrop. The Baku Business Centre is located in the heart of the capital city of Azerbaijan. The building provides dramatic vistas with the sculptural quality of the building revealed as visitors approach it along the seafront promenade. The strong forms of the three principle elements of glass, aluminium and finely detailed local stone enclose a large exhibition /conference facility, high quality offices and a luxury restaurant with breathtaking views over the Caspian Sea. The building's inclined roof stretches out into the promenade, floating above the landscaping and creating a welcoming and flexible exterior public space for exhibitions and events. In adopting a restrained palette of materials, bespoke integrated lighting and considered detailing, the building conveys a business-like and sophisticated image

9 USCE Belgrado, Serbia ludico-ricreativo interni ed allestimenti Leisure interiors & graphics L edificio sorge in un area di grande bellezza naturalistica a ridosso di un ampio parco urbano, nel punto d incontro tra il fiume Sava e il Danubio e svolge il ruolo strategico di cerniera tra la nuova e la vecchia Belgrado. E' un complesso di circa m² articolato su 5 livelli, di cui 2 interrati destinati ai parcheggi, e comprende più di 120 negozi, cinema, bowling, casinò e un area divertimenti per famiglie. La facciata, realizzata prevalentemente in zinco titanio e alluminio verniciato, si segnala per l uso spregiudicato del colore, il suo tratto moderno e la sua forza iconica che la rendono immediatamente riconoscibile nel paesaggio urbano. Gli interni neutri e luminosi sono stati pensati per valorizzare al massimo il potenziale dei fronti vetrina. Standing in an area of great natural beauty, close to a large city park located where the Sava and Danube rivers meet, this development plays a strategic role linking old and new Belgrade. It has an area of approximately 130,000m² across five levels, two of which are underground car parks. It comprises more than 120 shops, cinemas, bowling alleys, a casino and a family entertainment centre. The titanium, zinc and painted aluminium façade features strong use of colour and its modern line and iconic impact make it a distinctive landmark on the cityscape. The brightly-lit neutral interiors are designed to maximise the potential of the shop windows

L area ospiterà un centro di ricerca all avanguardia per attività innovative ed artistiche, con spazi per aziende ad alto livello tecnologico, laboratori e centri di ricerca. Sono anche previsti un museo di arte contemporanea riservato alle opere di artisti locali, residenze, negozi, ristoranti e una piccola biblioteca. L area ex Alumix prevede un futuristico 'monolite' nero che rompe la rigidità della cortina edilizia storica e aggetta sospeso sulla strada, puntando dritto verso la città. Il rivestimento sarà realizzato in fibra nera di carbonio e celle fotovoltaiche integrate. Il grande 'magnete' alto 50 metri con funzione prevalentemente direzionale dell area ex Magnesio avrà la caratteristica di essere sospeso su una piazza d'acqua. Questo progetto ha vinto il concorso di progettazione internazionale promosso dalla Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano per il nuovo polo scientifico e tecnologico della città. The urban restyling of the former Alumix and Magnesio sites involves a floor space of approximately 51,000m² out of a total surface area of approximately 100,000m². It will contain a state-ofthe-art research centre for innovation and the arts, with spaces for cuttingedge technology companies, workshops and research centres. A contemporary art museum for works by local artists only, plus housing, shops, restaurants and a small library are also planned. The former Alumix site will feature a futuristic black monolith that breaks into the rigidity of an old row of buildings and it is suspended over the road, pointing straight at the city. The cladding will be carbon fibre with built-in photovoltaic cells. The large 50-metre tall magnet containing mainly office spaces on the former Magnesio site will be, by contrast, suspended over a water plaza. This project won the international competition held by the Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano for the city's new science and technology park

Lo stadio dialoga con la città, attraverso l inserimento a piano terra di attività commerciali e ludico-ricreative. This project was the upgrade of the Accra Stadium to increase the capacity from 25,000 to 42,000 spectators for the African Cup As well as the addition of new seating in the stadium, the project involved removing the athletics track to improve pitch visibility. The stadium interacts with the city outside through the introduction of a retail, catering and leisure on the ground level

12 Le Colonne Brindisi, Italia ludico-ricreativo Leisure Questo centro con ristoranti, bar e cinema multisala si sviluppa su un unico livello con una GLA di m². Il nome è legato alla storia delle due colonne romane che segnavano la fine della via Appia e che sono da sempre simbolo della città di Brindisi. This shopping centre with restaurants, bars and a multi-screen cinema is on one level and has a GLA of 20,000m². The name stems from the two Roman columns that marked the end of the Appian Way and have always been the symbols of the city of Brindisi

Il progetto prevede il recupero e il riutilizzo dell'architettura industriale del vecchio deposito tranviario e degli edifici esistenti sull'area, integrandoli nel nuovo progetto. L area dell intervento sarà destinata per metà ad uso pubblico, con la creazione di un mercato rionale ed un centro sportivo, e per metà ad uso privato, con gallerie commerciali che si sviluppano su tre livelli per un totale di circa m 2 di GLA, ed un edificio direzionale di cinque livelli. Le diverse funzioni, se pur completamente interconnesse ed integrate fra loro, avranno accessibilità e livelli di fruibilità differenti. L elemento architettonico che unifica il progetto per tutta la sua lunghezza e il parco urbano pensile che funge da copertura per l intero complesso e, protendendosi verso l Appia, diventa una pensilina che caratterizza e protegge la piazza sottostante. Centro Appio I is located between the historical city centre and the south area of Rome. The aim of the project is the functional renewal of a former tram depot, conserving the existing buildings and ancient walls left in the area of intervention. The main purpose is to redevelop and reuse these archaeological industry artefacts by integrating them into the new project. One half of the development will be for public use, with a local market and a public sports centre while the other half will be for private use, with a 10,000m 2 GLA shopping mall on three levels and a five-level office building. The project is conceived as a sequence of harmonic spaces with connections that allow the user a customised usability of the different functions. The main architectural feature is a roof garden that acts as an urban park, covering the entire building complex and leaning out towards the main road, characterising the square below

L interno propone un design sobrio ed essenziale con il layout della pavimentazione e del soffitto ispirato ai circuiti di un computer. L illuminazione naturale penetra all'interno della galleria attraverso scatole vuote appese al soffitto e realizzate in rete metallica, che filtrano la luce dell esterno. The interior has a simple and restrained appearance, with the floor and ceiling design inspired by computer circuit-boards. Attraverso il gioco di luci e riflessi sulle superfici di color verderame, si è voluto ricreare l idea della lucentezza e preziosità dei metalli. An exhibition building in Valenza consisting of a glazed central hall flanked by two monolithic office blocks, linked by a covered garden leading to a large rectangular exhibition space. The structure is mainly used to exhibit gold jewellery, as Valenza is renowned the world over for its gold and jewellery production and design. 18 Forum Nis, Serbia direzionale Workplace Il centro Forum è un edificio collocato nel centro della città di Nis, organizzato su 6 livelli, di cui 3 dedicati al retail, 2 livelli destinati ad uffici e un piano di parcheggi interrati per un totale di m 2. Inserito in un tessuto urbano molto articolato e stratificato, l edificio si distingue per la sua compattezza e la sua semplicità stereometrica. L edificio rappresenta un importante occasione di modernizzazione della città di Nis, non solo per il suo linguaggio formale ma soprattutto per l idea di commercio che vi si cela. Nis è abituata a mercati sotterranei che, come un dedalo di strade, innervano il sottosuolo delle vie principali. Il nostro progetto propone così alla città una formula contemporanea di retail in grado di valorizzare il territorio e rivitalizzare un tessuto urbano obsoleto e fortemente degradato. Forum is located in the city centre of Nis and covers a total area of 16,000m 2 over 6 levels, split into 3 retail floors, 2 offices and an underground car park. The building represents an important innovation for the city of Nis, not only for its enhanced architectural appearance, which stands out for its compact design and simplicity, but also for the commercial content enclosed. Since Nis was used to underground markets, this project proposes a new shopping formula, modernising the retail experience and revitalising an outdated and run-down urban area

Euroma2 comprende 230 unità commerciali tra negozi e medie superfici, 25 ristoranti e circa posti auto su più livelli. Gli esterni rispecchiano il linguaggio moderno del centro direzionale Europarco, che circonda il nostro progetto. Gli interni, sviluppati sugli standards richiesti dal cliente, includono lussuose decorazioni delle pavimentazioni in marmo, rivestimenti, cupole e lucernari in vetro che creano un'atmosfera unica e spettacolare. A three-level shopping centre located in the strategic EUR area, a few kilometres from the centre of Rome. Euroma2 comprises 230 retail units including medium sized units and 25 restaurants, with approx 4,000 car park spaces on two underground levels and an external carpark building. The building architecture reflects the modern design of Europarco Business Centre development, which surrounds the shopping centre. L edificio sorge nell area Sud-Ovest di Osijek, alle porte della nuova parte di estensione della città che corrisponde all ingresso all area urbana per chi proviene da Zagabria. L idea progettuale di base è stata quella di costruire un edificio significativo, un nuovo Landmark, che rappresenti la nuova porta della città e da cui il centro prende il suo nome: Portanova. This 79,000m 2 shopping centre, developed on 3 levels with an underground car park, is located in a new extension quarter to the south west part of Osijek, with an aim to become a unique shopping and entertainment centre for Eastern Croatia and the surrounding regions. Portanova, meaning 'new door', takes its name from a term that is conceptually based on the characteristics of the local environments and from the idea that the shopping centre will be a landmark and new entrance to the city
