2 KETRON SD5 & SD8 Istruzioni per l apertura dello strumento Instructions to open the instrument Eseguire le operazioni adagiando lo strumento sopra un panno morbido per proteggere la verniciatura da eventuali graffiature. Rest the instrument on a soft cloth to avoid scratching the paintwork while the operations are being accomplished. SD5 SD8 A - Togliere le viti per l apertura del coperchio - Remove the screws to release the cover - Non togliere viti per l apertura dei box altoparlanti - Don t remove speaker box screws F - Non togliere le viti per l apertura del finetasto sinistro - Don t remove the screws to release the left endkey K Togliere le viti del fissaggio della tastiera per SD5 e del supporto delle meccaniche per SD8 - Remove keyboard screws for the SD5 and support screws of the chromatic keyboard U - Togliere le viti per l apertura del finetasto destro - Remove the screws to release the right endkey

3 Dopo aver tolto le viti di fissaggio, alzare di qualche centimetro il coperchio. After removing the screws carefully turn over while holding the edges of the instrument and lift the cover a few centimetres. SD5 SD8 Far scorrere indietro il coperchio fino a quando fuoriesce dalla tastiera ed alzare sul davanti. While holding the front edge up slide the cover back to clear the keyboard. SD5 SD8 Ruotare il coperchio facendo attenzione a non sollecitare il cavo di collegamento con il fondo. Rimuovere la tastiera del SD5 scollegando le 3 piattine, per SD8 le piattine sono 2. 5 Fig. 2 A G F A G F F Collegare i cavi presenti nella scatola come segue (Fig. 2): Cavo schermato 6 vie A dal connettore JP3 del P469 (US & SD CARD READER) al connettore CN1 del P412 (Pannello Comandi). Cavo schermato 6 vie G dal connettore JP2 del P469 (US & SD CARD READER) al connettore JP3 del P430 (Generazione Suoni). Cavo piatto 26 vie F dal connettore J1 del P469 (US & SD CARD READER) al connettore JP1 del P343 (CPU). Cavo piatto 4 vie precedentemente scollegato dal floppy al connettore J5 del P469 (US & SD CARD READER). Follow these instructions to carefully connect the cables included in the package (Fig. 2): Shielded cable 6 way A from connector JP3 of P469 (US & SD CARD READER) to connector CN1 of P412 (Control Panel). Shielded cable 6 way G from connector JP2 of the P469 (US & SD CARD READER) to connector JP3 of P430 (Sound Generation). Flat cable 26 way F from connector J1 of P469 (US & SD CARD READER) to connector JP1 of P343 (CPU). Flat cable 4 way (previously disconnected from the floppy drive) to connector J5 of P469 (US & SD CARD READER). Fig. 3 Fissare il supporto US & SD CARD READER sul laterale usando le viti tolte dal floppy (Fig. 3). Install the US & SD CARD READER in place of the floppydrive panel using the original floppy drive screws (Fig. 3).

Collegare le 3 piattine precedentemente scollegate alla tastiera della SD5 (per SD8 sono 2) e rimetterla in posizione corretta. Chiudere lo strumento. Reinstall the HD & VI support bracket with the same screws S1-S2-S3 (Fig. 4). Connect the 3 flat cables of SD5 (previously disconnected to the keyboard), for SD8 are only 2, and place in the correct position. Close the instrument. Terminato il montaggio del kit utilizzare una US pen drive formattata FAT32, creare una nuova cartella, nominarla FLOPPY e copiare i files del nuovo sistema operativo SD5 o SD8 scaricabile dal nostro sito e seguire le istruzione per il caricamento sulla tastiera. After installing the kit use a US pen drive (formatted FAT32). Create a new folder FLOPPY and copy the files of the new SD5 or SD8 O.S. which is downloadable from our web site and follow the instruction to load it onto the keyboard.
