3 SAFETY WARNINGS - AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA Read this manual carefully before installing and/or using the equipment and keep it in an accessible place. This equipment constitutes a component which is part of complex installations: it is the responsibility of the electrical installer to draw up the general diagram of the system and the electrical connections outside the equipment. The manufacturer s technical office can be contacted on the numbers shown on the back of this manual for queries or special technical requests. CAUTION Installation and maintenance must only be carried out by qualified personnel. The hydraulic and electrical systems and the places where the equipment is to be installed must comply with the safety, accident prevention and fire prevention standards in force in the country of use. It is essential to connect the equipment to an effective earthing system and include it in an equipotential system whose effectiveness shall conform the local regulations. Before making the electrical connection, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the data plate correspond to those of the power supply system. Leggere con attenzione questo libretto prima dell installazione e/o dell uso dell apparecchiatura e conservarlo in un luogo accessibile. La presente apparecchiatura costituisce un componente che fa parte di installazioni complesse: è compito dell impiantista elettrico redigere lo schema generale dell impianto e dei collegamenti elettrici esterni all apparecchiatura. L ufficio tecnico del Costruttore si rende disponibile ai numeri indicati sul retro del presente libretto per consulenze o richieste tecniche particolari. ATTENZIONE L installazione e la manutenzione vanno eseguiti solo da personale qualificato. Gli impianti idraulici, elettrici ed i locali di installazione delle apparecchiature devono rispondere alle norme di sicurezza, antinfortunistiche e antincendio in vigore nel Paese di utilizzo. E indispensabile collegare l apparecchiatura ad un efficace impianto di terra e includerla in un sistema equipotenziale la cui efficacia deve ottemperare alle norme in vigore. Prima di eseguire il collegamento elettrico, accertarsi che la tensione e la frequenza riportate sulla targhetta caratteristiche corrispondano a quelle dell impianto d alimentazione. GENERAL WARNINGS - AVVERTENZE GENERALI If, after having unpacked the equipment, any anomaly is noted, do not use the equipment and contact an Assistance Centre authorised by the manufacturer. After installation, dispose of the packaging in accordance with the provisions of the regulations in force in the country of use. Use original spare parts only: disregarding this rule invalidates the warranty. The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the following cases: - The aforementioned warnings and safety regulations, including those in force in the country of installation, are not respected. - The information given in this manual is disregarded. - There is damage or injury to people, animals or objects, resulting from incorrect installation and/or improper use of the products and equipment.. - Inaccuracies or printing and transcription errors are contained in this manual. The manufacturer also reserves the right to cease production at any time and to make all the modifications which it considers useful or necessary without any obligation to give notice. Se dopo aver disimballato l apparecchiatura si nota una qualsiasi anomalia non utilizzare l apparecchiatura e rivolgersi ad un Centro di Assistenza autorizzato dal Costruttore. Alla fine dell installazione smaltire gli imballi secondo quanto previsto dalle normative in vigore nel Paese di utilizzo. Esigere solo ricambi originali: la mancata osservazione di questa norma fa decadere la garanzia. Il Costruttore declina ogni responsabilità nei casi seguenti: - Non vengano rispettate le avvertenze e le norme di sicurezza sopra indicate, comprese quelle vigenti nei paesi di installazione. - Mancata osservanza delle indicazioni segnalate nel presente manuale. - Danni a persone, animali o cose, derivanti da una errata installazione e/o uso improprio di prodotti e attrezzature. - Inesattezze o errori di stampa e trascrizione contenuti nel presente manuale. Il Costruttore, inoltre, si riserva il diritto di cessare la produzione in qualsiasi momento e di apportare tutte le modifiche che riterrà utili o necessarie senza obbligo di preavviso. DISPOSAL - SMALTIMENTO In accordance with the provisions of the following European directives, 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC 2003/108/ EC, regarding reducing the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, in addition to waste disposal. The crossed-out rubbish bin symbol shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste. As a result, users shall take the equipment to suitable disposal centres for electronic and electrotechnical devices. Otherwise, they can choose to give it back to the seller if they are going to buy a new equivalent one. Appropriate separate waste collection for subsequent sending of the disused equipment for recycling, treatment and compatible environmental disposal contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and favours recycling of the materials of which the equipment is composed. The abusive disposal of the product by the user leads to the application of the penalties envisaged by current regulations regarding the matter. 3 In base a quanto previsto dalle seguenti direttive europee 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE e 2003/108/CE, relative alla riduzione dell uso di sostanze pericolose nelle apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche, nonché allo smaltimento dei rifiuti. Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull apparecchiatura indica che il prodotto alla fine della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente dagli altri rifiuti. L utente dovrà, pertanto, conferire l apparecchiatura giunta a fine vita agli idonei centri di raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti elettronici ed elettrotecnici, oppure riconsegnarla al rivenditore al momento dell acquisto di una nuova apparecchiatura di tipo equivalente, in ragione di uno a uno. L adeguata raccolta differenziata per l avvio successivo dell apparecchiatura dismessa al riciclaggio, al trattamento e allo smaltimento ambientale compatibile contribuisce ad evitare possibili effetti negativi sull ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce il riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta l apparecchiatura. Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell utente comporta l applicazione delle sanzioni previste dalla vigente normativa in materia.

5 PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS - OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI TESTING, TRANSPORT AND UNPACKAGING Upon receipt, check immediately that the packaging is intact: the product has been sent from the factory in excellent conditions, order and any damage must be notified to the carrier immediately and noted on the Delivery Sheet before it is countersigned. Within 8 days, the customer must notify the manufacturer of the extent and type of the damage noted, making a written report. ISPEZIONE, TRASPORTO E DISIMBALLO All atto del ricevimento verificare immediatamente l integrità dell imballo: il prodotto è partito in perfetto stato, eventuali danni dovranno essere immediatamente contestati al trasportatore ed annotati sul Foglio di Consegna prima di controfirmarlo. The materials which make up the packaging are different: wood, cardboard, nylon etc. Store them separately and deliver them for disposal or, where appropriate, recycling, to the relevant companies, thus reducing the environmental impact. 5 L imballo dell unità deve essere rimosso con cura evitando di arrecare possibili danni al contenuto. I materiali che costituiscono l imballo sono di natura diversa: legno, cartone, nylon, ecc. Conservarli separatamente e consegnarli per lo smaltimento o l eventuale riciclaggio, alle aziende preposte allo scopo e ridurne così l impatto ambientale.

Thanks to the temperature and humidity sensors and the internal clock, PC-HRX can manage the different functions of the units. In particular: Dehumidification (humidity sensor) Renewal (time setting) RenType = 0 Through the digital input it is possible to activate the BOOST function (to increase the fan speed) Providing the unit with an outdoor probe (optional) it is possible to activate the Free Cooling function (on summer/ on winter) and/or the Free Heating function (only on winter) Through QA-A air quality probe it is possible to manage the renewal mode according to the air quality in the room. RenType = 1/2 The defrosting/ anti-freeze function is managed by using the outdoor sensor (Optional), the temperature and the humidity sensor. If you enable on-off parameter DWF = 1, you can also control the DWF dehumidification modules La centralina PC-HRX è la regolazione da abbinare alle macchine HRX e HRX2. Attraverso i sensori di temperatura ed umidità, con l ausilio dell orologio, è in grado di gestire le funzionalità della macchina. In particolare pilota: La Deumidificazione (sensore di umidità) La funzionalità di Rinnovo (programmazione oraria) RenType = 0 Attraverso l ingresso digitale è possibile azionare la funzionalità di Boost (aumento della velocità dei ventilatori) Abbinando al controllo la sonda esterna (opzionale) sarà possibile azionare la macchina in modalità Free Cooling (estativo/invernale) e/o Free Heating (solo invernale). Attraverso la Sonda QA-A gestirà in maniera intelligente l azionamento della funzionalità di Rinnovo RenType = 1/2 Attraverso la sonda esterna (Opzionale) ed i sensori di temperatura e umidità è inoltre gestita la funzionalità di sbrinamento/antigelo. Abilitando il parametro On Off DWF = 1 è inoltre possibile pilotare i moduli di deumidificazione DWF. 6

7 3 INSTALLATION - INSTALLAZIONE 3.1 OVERALL DIMENSIONS - DIMENSIONI INGOMBRO 66 39,5 43,5 3.2 WALL INSTALLATION - INSTALLAZIONE A PARETE The device is supplied with adapters that can be used based on your own range of plates (e.g.: Bticino, Vimar, Gewiss, etc.. See Fig. 1). Procedure to install the adapter (Vimar Plana item in the example) Check the position reported on the adapter and align it with the device (Fig. 2) (example featuring Vimar Plana on POS B ). Apply the adapters on both sides of the device (Fig. 3). Insert the device into the plate support and complete the installation (Fig. 4). If there are any slots, you can either install the side spacers or the external frame on the device (Fig. 5). Il dispositivo viene fornito di adattatori che possono essere utilizzati in base alla propria linea di placche (es.: Bticino,Vimar,Gewiss,etc.. vedi fig. 1). Procedura di installazione adattatore (nell esempio Vimar Plana) controllare la posizione indicata sull adattatore e allinearla al dispositivo (fig. 2) ( esempio fatto con Vimar Plana su POS B ). Inserire gli adattatori su entrambi i lati del dispositivo (fig.3). Inserire il dispositivo nel supporto placca e completare l installazione (fig. 4). 10 5 DISPLAY AND KEYBOARD - DISPLAY E TASTIERA 5.1 DISPLAY DESCRIPTION - DESCRIZIONE DISPLAY The display main page shows the following information: Main Menu: display of the room temperature and humidity detected by the probe, display of the temperature and humidity setpoint values used for adjustment purposes, detection of the outdoor temperature (with optional temperature probe connected) and option of manually editing the temperature and humidity setpoint values (see chapter, main menu). Operating Menu: display and editing of the system operation (ON-OFF), of the WINTER-SUMMER season mode, indication of the MANUAL-AUTOMATIC operating mode and indication of any alarms (the icon is displayed only if there is an active alarm) (see chapters Operating menu icons, Operating menu and Alarms. Moreover, by pressing the side keys (individually or together), one can display the User menu, the Technical menu and the Configuration menu (see the corresponding chapters). Press the key briefly: - To exit editing (Reset) - To go back to the upper menu From the main menu, (in a field that cannot be edited) it allows to edit parameters in the operating menu. Press the key briefly: To scroll up the fields in the menu being displayed To increase the value of the field being edited In the operating menu, with flashing icons on the display, it allows to select the desired mode. Press the key briefly: To scroll down the fields in the menu being displayed To decrease the value of the field being edited In the operating menu, with flashing icons on the display, it allows to select the desired mode. If the keys are pressed and held down (> 5 sec): One can access the password page. If the keys are pressed and held down (> 5 sec): One can access the configuration menu. 12 6 USER PARAMETERS - PARAMETRI UTENTE 6.1 OPERATING MENU - MENU FUNZIONAMENTO The main menu displays the system operating status, while in the operating menu it is possible to edit the settings: Nel menu principale viene riportato lo stato di funzionamento del sistema, mentre nel menu funzionamento è possibile modificare le impostazioni: ON - OFF ON - OFF In ON mode, the whole system is on and will follow the selected setpoint values In OFF mode, the whole system is off In modalità ON l intero sistema risulterà acceso e seguirà i set impostati In modalità OFF l intero sistema risulterà spento WINTER - SUMMER INVERNO - ESTATE Set the desired seasonal operating mode of the device (SUM.=summer, WINT.=winter). Impostare la modalità di funzionamento stagionale desiderata del dispositivo (EST.=estate, INV.=inverno). MANUAL - MANUAL + AUTOMATIC MANUALE - MANUALE + AUTOMATICA The device can only operate in Manual or Manual + Automatic mode Il dispositivo può funzionare solo in modalità Manuale o Manuale + Automatica The Automatic mode is inhibited. La modalità Automatica è inibita. - MANUAL mode: The temperature and humidity setpoint values depend on the parameters set manually by the operator in the main menu. - MANUAL + AUTOMATIC mode: If the controller is set in Manual mode, the programming of the temperature, humidity or renewal can always be activated separately. To do this, the parameters below need to be activated: ON PRG T = to activate the temperature programming ON PRG H = to activate the humidity programming (see user menu) Ren Rec = to activate the renewal programming. (see technical menu) GENERAL ALARM - Modalità MANUALE: I set di temperatura e di umidità sono in funzione dei parametri impostati manualmente dall operatore nel menu principale. - Modalità MANUALE + AUTOMATICA: Nel caso si imposti la centralina in modalità Manuale è sempre possibile attivare singolarmente la programmazione della temperatura, dell umidità e del rinnovo.
