1 CONTEMPORANEA ACUSMATICA Ascoltare lo Spazio / Ascoltare il Tempo Call for works per ACOUSMATIC FIELD REGOLAMENTO (English version below) Art. 1 TEM - Taukay Edizioni Musicali e Delta Produzioni Associazione Culturale organizzano un call for works per installazioni d arte sonora. Art. 2 La partecipazione all iniziativa è gratuita. Art. 3 Saranno ammesse al concorso installazioni di artisti di qualsiasi nazionalità e di qualsiasi età. Art. 4 Le installazioni dovranno essere pensate in relazione a uno spazio specifico della città di Udine: la chiesa sconsacrata di San Francesco. Nella stesura delle composizioni sarà necessario tenere in considerazione la notevole riverberazione dello spazio esecutivo. Attraverso l indirizzo web: è possibile scaricare l impulse response (IR) dello spazio da utilizzare con i sistemi di riverbero a convoluzione (.wav 48kHz 24 bit).

2 Per la messa in atto dell opera è disponibile il seguente materiale hardware: n. 8 altoparlanti con relativi amplificatori n. 2 sub woofer con relativi amplificatori n.1 console digitale n.1 laptop n.1 scheda audio RME Fireface UFX n.3 video proiettori n.3 schermi per proiezione Inoltre potranno essere utilizzati i seguenti software installati sul laptop messo a disposizione dall organizzazione: Max + Jitter Processing SuperCollider Pure Data Arduino Reaper Qualsiasi eventuale materiale (sia hardware che software) al di fuori dell elenco sopra indicato dovrà essere messo a disposizione dall artista così come eventuali altoparlanti in una disposizione spaziale diversa rispetto a quella indicata. Potranno essere proposti anche progetti di hacking strumentale e sistemi di feedback acustici ma anche in questo caso tutti i materiali non presenti nell elenco dovranno essere interamente a messi a disposizione dall artista.

3 Art.5 La selezione delle opere avverrà in due distinti passaggi: 1) L artista dovrà inviare entro e non oltre il 31 agosto 2017 i seguenti documenti all'indirizzo di posta elettronica competition@taukay.it a) un file in formato pdf con una descrizione dettagliata di un progetto installativo ed eventuali patch, sketch o script già realizzati che intende utilizzare nel progetto. Il documento di presentazione dell opera dovrà contenere tutte le informazioni necessarie alla sua realizzazione e in particolare: - una breve descrizione artistica riguardo l intervento installativo. - schemi a blocchi dettagliati riguardanti le componenti hardware e i loro collegamenti (sensori, schede arduino, oggetti che compongono eventuali sculture sonore, laptop, mixer, altoparlanti, video, etc.). - patch, sketch o script utilizzati nel progetto e specifiche dettagliate riguardanti eventuali connessioni via OSC o MIDI tra diversi software (un elenco di quelli messi a disposizione è presente nell art. 4 del bando). Per progetti di hacking: un diagramma di flusso dei segnali dagli strumenti generatori agli strumenti emettitori. - schema dettagliato di routing dei segnali sulla mixer consolle (se utilizzata). - ogni ulteriore istruzione o informazione necessaria alla comprensione ed alla realizzazione del progetto. b) il modulo di iscrizione con firma autografa e le altre informazioni relative all artista di seguito elencate: - nome, cognome, luogo e data di nascita, sesso, nazionalità, indirizzo, indirizzo , numero telefonico, titolo, anno di composizione, data e luogo della prima performance, se esistente. - dichiarazione di accettazione delle regole del call for works Acousmatic Field. - dichiarazione di consenso e gratuità alla pubblica presentazione, alla eventuale ripresa audio e video dell installazione, alla sua trasmissione, all archiviazione del materiale realizzato e al suo utilizzo per una eventuale pubblicazione multimediale senza percepire compensi (il compenso relativo al diritto d autore per la pubblica esecuzione e la riproduzione meccanica sarà salvaguardato e distribuito dalla SIAE). - dichiarazione di consenso al trattamento dei dati personali del partecipante al concorso (D. Lgs. 196/03 Codice in materia di Privacy). Per tutte queste informazioni si consiglia di compilare direttamente il modulo di partecipazione con tutti i dati richiesti scaricandolo dal seguente indirizzo: c) curriculum artistico e di studi. d) una fotografia recente dell artista. e) fotocopia di un documento di identità dell artista. 2) Il gruppo di lettura sceglierà i lavori da esporre/ascoltare entro il 10 settembre 2017 (festival Contemporanea Acusmatica, autunno 2017). Si sottolinea che la selezione terrà conto sia della parte artistica che della fattibilità dei progetti presentati. L'esito della selezione sarà pubblicato sul sito internet e comunicato personalmente ai partecipanti tramite . A questo punto i candidati selezionati (se non lo hanno già fatto) dovranno realizzare l installazione proposta e inviare tutti i materiali necessari attraverso due possibili modalità: in formato digitale con un file compresso in formato.zip, comprensivo di tutti i materiali informativi che dovrà riportare cognome e titolo del progetto ed essere messo a disposizione per il download utilizzando un sistema di file hosting come wetransfer o sistemi similari. Il link permanente dal quale sarà possibile scaricare i materiali dovrà essere notificato via all'indirizzo di posta elettronica competition@taukay.it tramite posta ordinaria all indirizzo: TEM Taukay Edizioni Musicali Via del Torre 57/ Remanzacco Udine ITALIA Si predilige l invio del materiale relativo all opera partecipante in formato digitale tramite internet. Art. 6 La realizzazione (montaggio, messa in opera, sorveglianza e smontaggio in situ) del progetto proposto durante il Festival sarà a cura dell artista in stretta collaborazione con l organizzazione.

4 Art. 7 È possibile partecipare al concorso con più installazioni. Art. 8 A causa delle tempistiche molto serrate, per la modalità di invio tramite posta ordinaria farà fede la data di arrivo del materiale. Si consiglia di effettuare la spedizione con anticipo per avere la certezza di poter partecipare al call for works. In caso di spedizione via internet, farà fede la data dell invio del materiale. In caso di spedizione del materiale tramite posta ordinaria dall estero si prega di specificare che il valore del contenuto inviato è commercialmente nullo, per evitare spese doganali aggiuntive. (Esempio da indicare sulla busta: Descrizione del contenuto: documenti e CD per audizione privi di valore commerciale ). Art. 9 Il gruppo di lettura si riserva la facoltà di non utilizzare i materiali pervenuti qualora non rispondessero ai requisiti richiesti. Art. 10 Le decisioni del gruppo di lettura sono inappellabili. Art. 11 La domanda di partecipazione e la presentazione delle opere alla manifestazione comporta da parte dell autore l accettazione delle norme sopraindicate. La mancata osservanza delle norme sopraindicate comporta la decadenza di qualsiasi diritto derivante dalla partecipazione al call for works. Art. 12 Per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Udine. 5 CONTEMPORANEA ACUSMATICA Ascoltare lo Spazio / Ascoltare il Tempo Call for works for ACOUSMATIC FIELD RULES AND CONDITIONS Art. 1 TEM - Taukay Edizioni Musicali and Delta Produzioni Associazione Culturale hereby open a call for works for sound art installations. Art. 2 No participation fee is required. Art. 3 The call for works will accept installations by artists of any nationality and of any age. Art. 4 Installations will have to be considered in relation to a specific location of the city of Udine: the deconsecrated San Francesco church. Working on the compositions you will need to consider the remarkable performance space reverberation. Instruments hacking projects and acoustic feedback systems may also be proposed, but also in this case all the materials not in the list will have to be entirely supplied by the artist.

7 Art. 5 The works selection will take place in two distinct steps: 1) Artists wishing to participate must send the following documents to the address competition@taukay.it no later than August a) a pdf file with a detailed description of the installation project and any patches, sketch or scripts that you plan to use in your project. The documents presenting the work must contain all the information necessary to create the installation, in particular: - a brief artistic description of the installation - detailed diagrams showing the hardware components and their connections (sensors, arduino boards, objects used for sound sculptures, laptops, mixers, speakers, videos, etc.) - patches, sketches or scripts used in the project and detailed specifications for any connections between different software using OSC or MIDI (the list of those provided can be seen in item 4 of the regulations). For hacking projects: a flow chart of the signals from generating instruments to emitting tools - detailed plan of signal routing to mixer console (if used) - any other instructions or information needed to help understanding and implementation of the plan b) the signed entry form and other info about the composer listed below: - name, surname, date and place of birth, sex, nationality, address, address, telephone number, title, year of composition, date and place of the first public presentation, if any - a statement agreeing to the rules and conditions of the call for works Acousmatic Field - a statement agreeing to permit the performance of the composition to be recorded, broadcast or telecast, archived and used for CD production without compensation. (Remuneration relative to copyright for public performance and mechanical reproduction will be safeguarded and distributed by SIAE) - a statement agreeing to the treatment of personal information in accordance with Italian privacy laws. To download the entry form use the following link: c) composer biography d) recent photograph of the composer e) photocopy of identification document of the composer 2) the selection panel will choose the works to show/present no later than the 10th september 2017 Contemporanea Acusmatica festival in Autumn Please note that the selection will consider both the artistic aspect and feasibility of the projects presented. The results of the selection will be published on the website and personally communicated to the participant by . At this point, the selected candidates (if they have not already done so) must create the installation proposed and send all the necessary materials by or regular post: in compressed digital format (.ZIP), including all necessary information. This must include the artist's surname and the title of the project and must be available to download using a file hosting system like wetransfer or similar. Art. 6 The creation (installation, implementation, monitoring and disassembly and removal) of the proposed project during the Festival will be the responsibility of the artist in close cooperation with the organization.

8 Art. 7 More than one installations may be submitted. Art. 8 Due to the very tight time frame, any projects sent by regular mail will only be considered if they arrive before the closing date. We recommend you post projects in good time to ensure you are able to participate in the competition. In case of delivery by internet, the shipping will be deemed to be the date of submission. In case of delivery using ordinary mail from abroad, please specify that the package contents has no commercial value to avoid added custom charges. Art. 9 The selection panel reserves the right to refuse any entry which does not fulfil the indicated requirements. Art. 10 The selection panel s decision is final. Art. 11 By entering the competition and submitting the composition, the composer accepts all the above terms and conditions. Failing to follow the above terms and conditions will result in the forfeiting of any rights deriving from participation in the call for works.
