OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE Introduzione OBD-Flasher OBD-Flasher è la soluzione per la lettura e la programmazione tramite presa diagnosi di vetture dotate di protocollo OBDII, CAN e J1850. OBD-Flasher può anche essere utilizzato per la ricerca e la cancellazione degli errori presenti nella memoria dell automobile (DTC). Posizione presa diagnosi OBD-Flasher comunica con il vostro veicolo attraverso la presa diagnosi. AUDI Sotto il volante, al di sopra dei pedali. Tempo di lettura, circa 20 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 10 minuti. FORD Sotto il volante, al di sopra dei pedali. Tempo di lettura, circa 5 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 5 minuti. RENAULT Tunnel centrale, è necessario rimuovere il coperchio. Tempo di lettura, circa 10 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 5 minuti. SEAT Sotto il volante, al di sopra dei pedali. Tempo di lettura, circa 20 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 10 minuti. SKODA Sotto il volante, al di sopra dei pedali. Tempo di lettura, circa 20 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 10 minuti. VW Sotto il volante, al di sopra dei pedali. Tempo di lettura, circa 20 minuti. Tempo di scrittura, circa 10 minuti. Avvertenze Ogni configurazione difforme dall originale deve essere utilizzata solo per la circolazione in circuito chiuso. Non rimuovere il connettore OBDII del vostro OBD-Flasher dal connettore diagnosi durante le varie operazioni. Spegnere i dispositivi elettrici ed elettronici installati sulla vostra vettura prima di connettere OBD-Flasher alla presa diagnostica. Spegnere il motore, rimuovere la marcia e tirare il freno a mano. Durante le operazioni di letture e/o scrittura, le ventole di raffreddamento potrebbero avviarsi. 2
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE Installazione OBD-Flasher 1. Connettere il PC al sito internet e scaricare il software. 2. Cliccare sul pulsante XCONSOLE e salvare il file proposto all interno del proprio PC. 3. Eseguire il file di installazione appena scaricato, sarete guidati durante il processo di installazione. 4. Collegare OBD-Flasher al PC tramite il cavo USB in dotazione, alla prima connessione sarà richiesto di installare i driver del dispositivo USB, contenuti nella cartella (C:\XCONSOLE). Come usare OBD-Flasher 1. Eseguire il software Xconsole. 2. Collegare OBD-Flasher al PC tramite il cavo USB in dotazione. 3. Cliccare il pulsante Link per avviare la comunicazione tra PC e il vostro OBD-Flasher. 4. Scegliere la vostra automobile dalla lista e attendere l installazione del firmware corretto. 5. Selezionare la lingua che sarà visualizzata sul display del vostro OBD-Flasher e attendere il completamento dell installazione. 3
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE 6. Rimuovere OBD-Flasher dal connettore USB. 7. Localizzare la porta diagnostica sulla propria vettura. 8. Connettere il cavo OBDII di OBD-Flasher alla presa diagnostica. OBD- Flasher da questo momento è in funzione. 9. Scegliere Leggi file dalla ECU e seguire attentamente le istruzioni sul display di OBD-Flasher che vi guideranno alla lettura del file originale. 10. Rimuovere il cavo OBDII del vostro OBD-Flasher dalla presa diagnostica. 11. Collegare OBD-Flasher al PC tramite il cavo USB in dotazione. 12. Eseguire il software in dotazione. 13. Cliccare il pulsante Link per avviare la comunicazione tra PC e il vostro Powergate. 14. Cliccare sul pulsante Download ORI per scaricare il file presente in OBD- Flasher sul vostro pc. A questo punto, siete in possesso di un file originale codificato da inviare al vostro Master, che potrà interpretarlo, modificarlo ed inviarlo sotto forma di file codificato, pronto per la scrittura in centralina. Per effettuare la programmazione in centralina, seguire questi passaggi: 1. Eseguire il software Xconsole 2. Collegare OBD-Flasher al PC tramite il cavo USB in dotazione. 3. Cliccare sul pulsante Link 4. Cliccare sul pulsante Carica MOD 5. Selezionare il file modificato inviato dal Master 6. Terminata la procedura di upload del file modificato, scollegare OBD-Flasher dal PC e tornare sulla vettura. 7. Collegare OBD-Flasher alla presa diagnosi e selezionare la procedura di scrittura della ECU. 8. Selezionare il file da scrivere sulla centralina. 9. Terminata la procedura di programmazione, spegnere il quadro e scollegare OBD-Flasher dalla presa diagnosi 4
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE Ripristino delle condizioni iniziali di OBD-Flasher 1. Collegare OBD-Flasher al PC tramite il cavo USB in dotazione. 2. Eseguire il software in dotazione. 3. Cliccare il pulsante Link per avviare la comunicazione tra PC e il vostro Powergate. 4. Cliccare il pulsante Cancellazione, il vostro OBD-Flasher sarà totalmente cancellato. 5. Ripetere le operazioni descritte nel capitolo Come usare OBD-Flasher, a partire dal punto 4. Diagnostica Su alcuni modelli di vetture incluse nell elenco (la lista aggiornata è disponibile sul sito ), OBD-Flasher è in grado di effettuare la lettura della memoria errori DTC e cancellarne la presenza. La funzione di cancellazione errori è totalmente diagnostica, OBD-Flasher non risolve alcun problema presente sulla vettura. Si consiglia di rivolgersi ad un tecnico qualificato, qualora la semplice cancellazione errori, non risolvi inconvenienti temporanei. 5

OBD-Flasher, or Multifamily, allows at the moment of purchase to personalize the car s list in which the user can work on, modifying it at its own needs. OBD-Flasher it s a real garage tool, and so it s no more necessary to reprogram the original file of the car before to rehabilitate the initial conditions. Diagnostic port location Your OBD-Flasher communicates with your vehicle via the diagnostic port. AUDI Underneath the steering wheel, above the pedal assembly. For read time allow 20 minutes. For programming time allow 10 minutes. FORD Underneath the steering wheel, above the pedal assembly. For read time allow 5 minutes. For programming time allow 5 minutes. RENAULT Under the front ashtray in the centre console on the vehicle. For read time allow 10 minutes. For programming time allow 5 minutes. SEAT Underneath the steering wheel, above the pedal assembly. For read time allow 20 minutes. For programming time allow 10 minutes. SKODA Underneath the steering wheel, above the pedal assembly. For read time allow 20 minutes. For programming time allow 10 minutes. VW Underneath the steering wheel, above the pedal assembly. For read time allow 20 minutes. For programming time allow 10 minutes. Warning Each configuration different from the original one must be used only in closed circuits. Don't remove the OBDII connector of your OBD-Flasher from the diagnosis connector during the operations. Turn off all electric and electronic devices installed on your car before to connect the OBD-Flasher to the diagnosis port. Turn off the engine, go out of gear and put on the hand brake. Throughout reading and writing operations, the fans could start. 6
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE OBD-Flasher Installation Connect the PC to the internet website: http:///xnote/sw/console/x/xdwl.aspx 1. Click on the button Download XCONSOLE and save the file on your PC. 2. Execute the installation file as soon as downloaded, you will be guides to you during the installation process. 3. Connect OBD-Flasher to the PC through cable USB in equipment, to the first connection will be necessary install the driver of USB device, contained in the folder (C:\PWGCONSOLE). How to use OBD-Flasher 1. Run Xconsole software. 2. Connect OBD-Flasher unit to PC via USB cable. 3. Click the button Connection to start the communication between PC and your OBD-Flasher. 4. Choose your specific-car from the list and wait for the installation of the correct firmware. 5. Choose the language that will be shown on the display of yours OBD-Flasher and wait the installation of the language. 7
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE 6. Remove the OBD-Flasher unit from USB connector. 7. Locate the diagnostic port in your vehicle. 8. Connect the Powergate s OBDII cable to the diagnostic port. OBD-Flasher from this moment is active. 9. Choose Read ECU File and follow the instruction on the display of the OBD- Flasher that help you in the reading of the original file. 10. Remove the OBDII cable on your OBD-Flasher from the diagnostic port. 11. Connect OBD-Flasher unit to PC via USB cable. 12. Run Xconsolesoftware. 13. Click the button Connection to start the communication between PC and your OBD-Flasher Unit. 14. Click on the button Download ORI to download the file that is into the OBD- Flasher on your PC. At this point, you are in possess of an original file codified ready to be sent to your own OBD-Flasher Master, that will be able to interpret it, modify it and send it to the Ecu like a codified file ready to the writing. To make the programmation in the Ecu, follows the steps below: 1. Run Xconsole software 2. Connect OBD-Flasher unit to PC via USB cable. 3. Click the button Connection 4. Click the button Download MOD 5. Select the modified file sent to the OBD-Flasher Master 6. When the upload procedure of modified file is finished, disconnect OBD- Flasher from PC and return on the car. 7. Connect OBD-Flasher to the diagnostic port and select Ecu writing procedure. 8. Select the file to be wrote on the ECU. 8
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE 9. When the programmation procedure is finished, turn off board and disconnect OBD-Flasher from diagnostic port. 9
OBD-Flasher USER GUIDE Restoring starting conditions of OBD-Flasher 1. Connect OBD-Flasher to the PC by USB cable you find in the kit. 2. Install the software. 3. Click on Connection button to start the communication between the PC and your Powergate. 4. Click on Erase button, and your OBD-Flasher will be totally cancelled/erased. 5. Repeat the steps mentioned in the instruction called How to use OBD-Flasher M, starting from step 4. Diagnostics On some of the car models listed (the update list is available on our website ), OBD-Flasher can read the DTC errors memory and delete it. The errors deleting function is diagnostics, OBD-Flasher doesn't solve any defect of the car. We advise you to ask to a qualified technician if the errors erasing don't solve temporary problems. 10
